We booked this small blue building, close to the bar street, rich restaurants, a direct road from the train station can be walked for ten minutes. Press the walkie-talkie on the small door to the hotel on the side to register. The front desk enthusiastically asked if you want to live here, because breakfast is also here. After decisive replacement, the more amazing room, the retro decoration, should be the old castle renovation, very large and comfortable, the breakfast room is also super beautiful, the taste is great. What I especially like is that a boy named mike just joined the job to help me with my enthusiastic luggage, really too enthusiastic. The only bad thing is that we returned to the hotel late, because the place we went was so difficult to call the car, and we had called to explain. As a result, everything was pulled out of the room as soon as I came back.

Quick, easy check-in (had pre-booked). Room on 2nd floor (of 4) was nice and big with a good view across to Swansea Marina. Bit warm in room. Didn't notice the air-con unit hidden behind radiator cover until a few hours later so we did overheat a bit first of all. Busy at breakfast (understandable as in Christmas season) and a decent food selection, although they did run out of a few items a good 20 or minutes before breakfast concluded so after requesting a few things it took a little while for them to replace/cook them. Otherwise, overall a very pleasant stay in a location near to many amenities.

Situated at the top of the city it’s convenient for most things. We arrived and were instantly charged for what we thought was free parking. On entering the room it was clear it hadn’t been updated in many years with crinkled carpets, scruffy chairs and tired fixtures. The cobwebs were a feature that I wasn’t sure I’d seen before in other hotels. Several attempts at the plumbing had also been made in the bathroom, making a shower experience like no other. Food for full breakfast looked good, although I didn’t eat the full buffet annoyingly as I only wanted a light breakfast, the toast and honey was white standard bread and crystallised runny honey. Late check out would have been charged at a fairly punchy rate so we didn’t indulge. A neighbouring room played the tv all night on super loud so didn’t really sleep much at all either. All in all, and expensive poor nights sleep in a pretty sub standard room for the money.
