I stayed at the hotel with my 3 y.o. son. The room with the kitchenette and two queen beds was bright, well designed and very comfortable. Location of the hotel is great - within a few mins walk to French Quarter and the river, close to plenty of restaurants and just 20 m to the Street Car stop. As with many Marriott properties lately, the hotel didn't have ANY bottled water available for their guests; there was no breakfast or room cleaning services. It was all suspended due to COVID however, no one in the hotel, including staff, wore masks or took any COVID precautions.

The location is great! The look of the hotel is great! New Orleans is one of the most hot and humid places in the US…but the owner of this hotel didn’t put vents in the hallways and elevators to get air. When you walk out of your room, you literally sweat walking down the hall, waiting on the elevator, riding the elevator…you feel like you need to go take another shower! Dumb design! Also, they don’t have a service elevator for the staff, so you’re always waiting on an elevator while they are going up and down with cleaning carts! Dumb design! Oh…and they don’t clean your room each day…only if staying 5+ days. Overall…limited service hotel with very limited staff! The owner needs to pay people more and they’ll have more workers!

Reviews From Real Travelers
The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all the sights. The rooftop pool is fabulous and our children loved it. Unfortunately, our experience was not perfect and that was due to the staff being rude to us on two different occasions. Firstly, I asked if they could get us a small amount of milk for our baby's bottle. We have stayed at many hotels and have never, ever, been charged for a hotel providing a small cup of milk to us. We were therefore surprised when they tried to charge us a very expensive rate for a small cup of milk. I complained because this was the first time we have ever had a hotel try to charge us. They did eventually give it to us for free but the staff were not very pleasant about it. In the morning, I requested late checkout because it was raining and we had 3 young kids. Again, the staff member was rude and actually hung up the phone on me after eventually, reluctantly, agreeing to give us an extra hour. Unfortunately, the rude treatment from those two staff members made our experience less enjoyable. I would say that, having stayed at many places where staff bend over backwards to accommodate families with young children, this hotel could do more to be child-friendly.

The Monteleone was recommended by my wife’s cousin. The property is located in the heart of the French Quarter, which made it easy to visit area attractions. Our 2 room suite was clean and comfortable, the room cleaned daily with a nightly turndown. The staff, including front desk, bellmen and doormen go out of their way to assist you.

Hotel is convenient to anything in the French Quarter and easy walking distance to many attractions. Some noise from a few streets during the night in the early morning hours, but still not bad. The hotel is lovely and clean. The room we had was a king suite and it had plenty of room to relax. The bed slept fabulous.

Hotel was awesome. Right in the heart of the French Quarter with easy access to everything. Room was very clean and updated. Staff were helpful and friendly. Check in and out were smooth. Will definitely be back!

Good location, just on the French street, 5 minutes walk from each red store. The hotel is beautiful and the small indoor garden is perfect for afternoon tea. The local Jumbo soup is also available for free at the hotel lobby, similar to the black pepper seafood soup, which tastes good. At the time of check-in, the front desk asked me if I would upgrade the room type, I agreed, but the upgraded room was charge100 knife in the club room, but the room was small, only half a window, so I decided to change back to the original garden interior room, I think The room is bigger and more comfortable.

This property has kept its high standards throughout the lockdown. From the entrance to check out, the property and staff are 5 Star ***** I am sad to report that New Orleans has not fared as well. The homeless are in several place on Canal Street that just is unacceptable as a business.family travel spot. l don't understand why city leadership allows such poor enforcement of safe healthy standards. Find a way to help these people and make New Orleans great again.

Maison de La Luz is a stylish and comfortable hotel in a central location in New Orleans. Everything about our stay was exemplary - the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a mattress and well-stocked mini bar. The bathrooms are gorgeous and large - ours had a tub as well as a shower. The lobby and breakfast room were beautifully designed, as was the adjacent Bar Miralou with its“secret” access for hotel guests. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, especially Lawrence, who welcomed us at check in and gave us several helpful tips on restaurants and sights. I would absolutely stay here again when returning to NOLA.

This hotel is perfect…and if you think I am kidding try it out yourself. The location is ideal and the people there are simply amazing. Our experience was top notch and the hotel has so much to offer. We enjoyed a spacious and cleanroom, a wonderful hotel team and extraordinary experiences during our stay. Make sure you have breakfast daily: it was delicious and the team in the main room were phenomenal. All and all a wonderful respite in New Orleans that is totally recommended.

I was in the city to attend a basketball game. Upon arrival I did not see a valet worker to park my car therefore I had to find parking. I wasn't aware there was construction going on. I was awakened by noise such as banging and something that sounded like some type of loud machine. After being awaken I couldn't get the tv to work! Would NOT stay there again and wouldn't recommend to any one else!

Canal Street New Orleans|0.43km from city center
The accommodations for this hotel were standard. When we arrived there was a dirty, used rubber glove on the floor in the bathroom. Some of the metal stuff was loose or falling off. The room was not pristine. It was dusty. We all have asthma so are sensitive to dust and musty air. The hotel has, I think, 18 floors and is historic in the French Quarter. We wanted to see the gun and go to Hard Rock, in walking distance, but the hotel itself was a zoo and I hated the valet parking system. Do not stay here if you want easy access to items in your vehicle. Also, the check in AND out process was lengthy and frustrating. At least an hour between the two. The valet charge is $46.00 on top of the actual hotel fee. The valet employees were young, rude and disinterested. We interrupted one as he was eating. He never said a word and didn't verbally accept my apology for interrupting. He just begrudgingly took us to our car so we could retrieve a forgotten cell phone and some snacks. This hotel cost me more time and frustration than it was worth. It was open to the public so people were just sitting, standing and leaning 360 at the check in. I HATED the 150% busyness, people and noise (even though I enjoyed our evening on Bourbon Street). I guess I expected the INSIDE of the hotel to be ”normal” and more of a Refuge from all the parranda... It was not. I will never, ever, stay hete again.

This was a stop over as our train stopped for the night in New Orleans and was to leave out in the morning. We arrived very late as our train had been delayed and staff was very helpful in getting us checked in. The room was quite comfortable. It had a refrigerator but no microwave which we would have greatly appreciated. We had to be up early to catch our train and we were unable to have a hot breakfast due to the lack of the microwave. Other than that, everything was fine. Hope to come back when we can stay longer.

The room is large, the bathroom area is also large, it feels suitable for friends to go out together, there are two sinks, girls can make up at the same time~ There is no view from the window of the hotel, but the location is very good. You can go to Canal Street in a few minutes and buy a public transport ticket to go to all the attractions. Although there is no driving, the hotel has a parking lot with valet parking and car service. The highlight is the excellent service attitude. There is a travel consultation downstairs. You can make reservations for various special tours and restaurant reservations. There are many companies and lines that can pick up and drop off at the hotel entrance. The price is almost the same as that of the travel agency. The staff also Would recommend, for example, a few points to swamp crocodiles and more, in short, satisfied!

Our family spent two nights at the Bourbon Hotel (October 10-12). We read the reviews and were expecting an upscale hotel experience. We travel very often in the US and around the world, in all types of hotels-from basic 3 starts accommodations to luxury resorts. We do not go to hotels unless we verify recommendations and find the best fit. At most, the reviews are accurate. At times, slightly non-representing, nevertheless, we realize that it is a matter of taste. However, it is rare that an experience is so far fetched from the positive review that I had to write one myself (I very rarely do). From the moment we entered, it was a clear that we are entering a once glamorous venue which was not maintained, not clean with an atmosphere in lobby as if we entered a train station and not a hotel. The room itself was also filthy, with toe nails under our bed, hair in the closet and dust in the room. There was no soap, and housekeeping did not clean at all the following morning. The door to the balcony does not close properly and therefore it is very noisy. The empty mini bar was more of a heater than a cooler. During the whole duration of our stay, the same garbage items were not removed from the elevator and others not cleaned in lobby. When we attempted to order room service as stated on the hotel website, we were told that “we no longer deliver food to room” with no apology given. When we went to try our luck at the breakfast buffet, we were told “we no longer offer it”. We were fine with a-la-carte but then we found out that they only offer bar seating and no high chair was provided for our daughter. Again, with no apology. They were filming a series outside of the hotel, which by itself is a cool thing, but not when it makes the hotel a production room, filthy, messy, noisy and again-the hotel does not acknowledge it. The worst moment was when we needed to wait 15 minutes in the heat to get back to the hotel as the small street was closed for filming. Again, no apology given. When we needed the front desk supervisor’s assistance in a billing matter concerning tax, we were dismissed in the most vulgar and not-service-oriented manner, despite the fact that they clearly did not follow State and Federal Law. We tried to explain the issue but again, there was a total lack of willingness to listen. Bottom line, this hotel is a disgrace. Maybe years ago it deserved 4 stars, today it is a mediocre youth hostel that charges like a luxury hotel. Avoid.
