Had a really good stay here!!! From the boat transfer from Semporna Jetty to the resort, the staff were very attentive and helpful. Upon arrival at the Water Bungalow, I was welcomed with a welcome drink and a brief introduction and orientation of the facilities and the amenities was given by Jasni. Loved the spacious room and the stay was very comfortable. Sea nomads come by daily and offer coconuts and fresh seafood. If you are willing to buy they will be very happy; if you are not keen, just decline politely and they will leave you alone. Meals here were great, there was a variety of mains, fruits and desserts available. The compound is also very beautiful and the view is breathtaking at every corner. Indeed more expensive, but you are paying for the resort being in one of the best locations. They also provide diving and snorkelling services. The Water Bungalow Housereef is a divers heaven and it has many interesting pelagic animals to see. Truly loved my stay here and I believe I will be back.

Someone kept running around behind me while I was fishing and yelling, scaring away all the fish. The fishing gear didn't even have a bobber, so I couldn't cast far; I could only fish vertically. The bottled water tasted a bit strange. The bathroom drain was incredibly slow; the shower would clog every time I used it. There was still hair from the previous user stuck in the diving gear, and they didn't even have enough equipment. I can understand not providing diving socks and shoes, but they didn't even *sell* them?? The dinner food was okay, but they were very slow to refill the dishes. Ten minutes after dinner started, all the seafood was gone, and they actually told us we were too late to eat. We had to wait 15 minutes for the next round of refills. They'd only bring out one plate at a time; you'd have to go through a cycle to get enough seafood. The frozen shrimp definitely had a worse texture. I saw a nearby table get a whole platter; couldn't they at least manage things a little better? Paying over 3,000 for one night, what do they mean by giving me such a shoddy experience? No air conditioning in the dining hall is ridiculous. Malaysia is summer all year round. I had to use my own portable fan to eat? There was no mat outside the room door, so after getting wet, the room floor would get completely soaked when I went back inside. Basically, you couldn't watch any movies on the TV; you had to screen mirror from your phone. Everything else I didn't mention was alright, I guess. If you're willing to put up with so many problems for over 3,000, then feel free to go and experience it.

This is the only hotel on Pearl Island, and since we visited during the off-season, there were only two people in the entire hotel. After placing the reservation, the hotel emailed us the boat dock, and we called to confirm our itinerary. We asked several people, but they couldn't clearly explain the dock's location. We went to the wrong dock that morning, and immediately asked again, fearing we'd miss the boat pick-up time. We had originally planned to stay at this hotel so we could hike in the nearby National Forest Park, especially from the top of the mountain overlooking Pearl Island. The day before, we contacted the front desk, and they said we'd book the boat the next morning and pay the boat and guide fees separately. The next day, they told us there were no boats to the National Forest Park, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel is certainly nice, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Starfish and small fish were clearly visible on the seabed below our room. However, snorkeling requires walking to the other end of the hotel, and you need to be careful when descending the steps to the diving area. The water is cool and there are a variety of small fish and starfish. We even saw a sea turtle on the way to dinner. The meals, while free, were mediocre. Overall, the service is lacking and needs improvement.

This was our first trip to Semporna with our son, and we absolutely loved our stay at Sky Water Villa! The Deluxe Villa offered a beautiful view, and the staff were incredibly friendly, always welcoming us with warm, courteous smiles. We felt so lucky to witness a sea turtle that appeared around midnight—such a memorable experience! Although the food was a bit spicy for our son, he still enjoyed it very much. We truly appreciate the chef’s kindness in preparing a special fried egg for him at no extra charge. The staff also accompanied us for snorkeling around the villas, as well as kayaking and stand-up paddling. Their thoughtfulness really made our stay extra special. We loved everything about Sky Water Villa and hope to visit again soon!

its near to the town within 5 minutes arrive, the manager is friendly but there is no any service for 1.6k price paid. There is no phone in the room, when u need something there is no one around, basically u have to walk to the restaurant to find someone and wait for some time to get your request fulfilled, quite tiring. Food is yummy.

Because I finalized my trip quite late, I only booked the water villa a week in advance. Many water villas were already sold out, so after much deliberation, I chose White Sand Bay. Overall, it was great value for money and I would definitely come back again. In short, I highly recommend it. Here are some details about my experience: Facilities: Very new, only opened a year or two ago, exceeding my expectations. The room's bright color scheme was very comfortable. The air conditioning was also good. However, there were some drawbacks. The shower area in the bathroom was prone to clogging, and the water drained very slowly, so you had to shower quickly. Secondly, there was no hot water, which was a major problem. I recommend showering in the afternoon sun, as the cold water might be too much to handle at night. Also, the room door's soundproofing was average; I suggest choosing a room further from the restaurant, as people walking in the hallway at night can disturb your sleep. Therefore, I give it 4 stars. Cleanliness: I'm a bit of a clean freak, but overall it was clean, even exceeding my expectations. This indicates excellent hygiene. The bed was also very comfortable and wide, but a bit short; I estimate it to be about 1.8 meters long. If you are longer than that, I suggest sleeping sideways or diagonally for more comfort! Because it was cleaner and more comfortable than expected, I give it 5 stars. Environment: It's relatively far from the shore, about a 25-minute boat ride. The overall water quality is acceptable, although there's some trash, but not much. The scenery is beautiful and breathtaking. The water villas are also very photogenic, with unique designs that look great. Overall rating: 4.5 stars. Service: The service is acceptable. While not amazing, it's fine. The staff are friendly and generally handle problems well. The shuttle will contact you in advance to arrange your visit to the water villa. There are many activities available at the water villas, such as fishing, paddleboarding, and snorkeling. As for the food, which many people complain about, I think it's just so-so. It's not delicious, but it's not bad either; it's just a normal buffet. If you want something better, you can bargain with the boat passengers in the afternoon to buy seafood and have the kitchen prepare it. Overall rating for this: 4.5 stars.

A beautiful and serene location that we really enjoyed, and were so fortunate to be the only guests on the island at the time. The service from the staff was very attentive and they were very friendly and pleasant. The food was lovely and fresh. The island is close to Sipadan and Mabu Islands for diving and snorkeling, and for island hopping to other islands. We definitely recommend staying at this island.

My girlfriend and I chose an overwater bungalow for our island vacation and ultimately decided on Dragon Pearl Water Villas on Pom Pom Island. It proved to be an excellent choice. The island is quite remote, requiring a 45-minute boat ride from the mainland. It was incredibly clean, unlike other islands we've visited, with absolutely no trash. We also visited during the off-season, meaning fewer crowds, which made for a truly fantastic stay. Staying in an overwater bungalow for a night was a wonderful experience. We could directly witness both the sunrise and moonrise from our room, with fish swimming right beneath us in the clear waters. While the facilities were a bit basic, the natural environment and the overall island development were outstanding. It's truly perfect for couples on a romantic getaway or honeymoon, and also great for girlfriends traveling together to take beautiful photos. The hotel service was also good. While not as convenient as on the mainland (which is to be expected for an island resort), it was generally fine. Overall, I think it's a superb choice and I highly recommend it to everyone. A tip: For the hotel's airport transfer and speedboat services to and from the island, it's crucial to confirm details with both Ctrip and the hotel in advance. Ctrip did an excellent job coordinating everything beforehand, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey. Fantastic!

The entire hotel feels very new and modern, which is great! 👍 I'd even say it rivals the Park Hyatt. The room size is standard, but the bathroom has excellent hot water supply, and there's a balcony facing east, perfect for catching the sunrise 🌅. Just make sure to close the balcony door tightly, or the air conditioning won't blow cold air 😞. The pool is on the sixth floor, and you need to provide your room number every time you go. The hotel breakfast is very good; I particularly recommend their chicken congee 🥣 – it's delicious, I had two bowls every day 😋. The cakes 🍰 look nice, but they're a bit sweet. There's also a SPA at this hotel, but it doesn't seem to be affiliated with the hotel; I suspect it's privately run. You need to book a day in advance, and they only accept cash, WeChat Pay, or Alipay transfers – credit cards aren't an option. A 60-minute foot massage for two costs over 600 RMB 💰. Unlike in China, there's no shoulder and neck massage; you just wash your feet, move to another room, and the massage begins. Afterwards, they provide a plate of prawn crackers and two cups of ginger tea. I found it pretty average, and the price felt a bit steep.
