After reading decent reviews I booked three nights in high season for my family. The water slide and pool plus included breakfast were contributing factors for sure. Upon arrival we were kindly greeted and despite being an hour early for check in, got a room right away. The kids were offered a large freezie then too. The standard two Queen room on the main floor was clean and had a laminate floor which was wonderful. No worries about what might have been in the carpet!! Other than some dusty bathroom and bedroom corners, and a deck that needed a sweep(we were ground level so had a cement enclosure- kind of prison like) that had leaves and such needing swept up, the cleanliness was good. Our bathroom fan didn’t work and so the bathroom got very hot and foggy when anyone showered. Kids had fun at the pool but I didn’t feel confident in the cleanliness- three huge hair balls on the deck that were there two days in a row. Eww. Breakfast was always the same - eggs scrambled, meat (bacon or sausage), waffles, and hash browns as well as yogurt, cereal, fruit salad and various toaster items. I was very surprised to see bacon! That doesn’t typically happen where breakfast is included. Breakfast area was well tended to, clean and you never had to wait long for a refill on anything. There was iced tea in the lobby each day and in the afternoon fresh baked, individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies (so good). This was also a pleasant surprise. The room had a lovely little gas fireplace and plenty of space for a family needing space for a playpen or cot. The AC unit worked great which was necessary as every day was 30+! Watch prices- our initial trip dates fell through and the hotel offered a touch cheaper than Expedia, but the week later I rescheduled Expedia saved us $50. High season was nearly $400/night which was ghastly but last minute vacation plans in high season and not being anywhere for three years due to covid… we went for it!

The hotel was cute and clean! The staff we encountered were friendly and kind, the pool looked nice but we didn’t get a chance to go swimming unfortunately. The hotel buffet was mediocre for the nightly rate. We booked a double queen room with a mountain view, it was at the back of the hotel and was pretty quiet. The only complaints I have are minor, like our door wouldn’t close properly so we had to slam it every time we came in and out of the room. Then the issue we had was with the guest laundry, when I booked the pocaterra part of the reason I booked it is because it advertised guest laundry. When we got back to the hotel I started two loads of laundry (there’s two washers and two dryers) it didn’t seem busy with only one dryer running. However that was only the beginning.. their dryers need some serious TLC/repair because we had to run one load of laundry 3 times (at 50 minute cycles for 1.25 a LO cycle). For our laundry not to come out dry. My husband came back to our hotel room at 11pm and we had to quietly hang clothes anywhere we could in hopes they’d dry for the morning. This caused us to have to slam the door closed as for the issue mentioned above which woke up our 1 year old.. I’m not sure if I’d stay here again.
