Me and my wife went for this hotel after seeing all available options. The hotel staff were nice and courteous. We got an early check-in at 5 am despite check in being 9 am(thumbs up for that. The overall cleanliness was ok. We asked them to change the bedsheet and covers. Ac was working fine. Pool needs to be maintained. Also restaurant needs to be running as lack of eating options in the locality as it is very far from swargadar and some distance from lighthouse. But it is a front line hotel so proximity to beach is highlight.

I stayed for two nights at Hotel Lotus Puri and was generally happy with my stay. It's central location ***** the main road made it a good home base for visit and the staff were most helpful with any guidance that I needed. Indeed, they helped me find a local sim card, advised me on taking the cycle rickshaws and what the average cost would be, and kindly hailed me an auto rickshaw for my departure to the railway station. That said, my room, of which the facilities were basic but fine for my needs, could have benefitted from a bit of spot cleaning and the balcony could use a good sweeping and mopping. Otherwise, the hot water was fine and the restaurant was tasty and very convenient. I recommend Hotel Lotus Puri as a home base for a short stay in Puri!

The hotel is centrally located, about 900 metres from the beach. My room is facing the street, so it is noisy and some affects the rest. In fact, it will not be quiet without facing the street. The room was clean and the sheets were a bit old. The morning buffet is good and there are not many people. There are two points to note that the hotel cannot use international credit cards, so if foreigners spend at the hotel, they can only pay cash at checkout. Second, the check-out time required by the hotel is 8:00 in the morning. If you need to extend the check-out, you will have to pay. It is not expensive, tens of yuan per hour, 8 o'clock check out is a common practice in the local area. In short, in Puri, the requirements for the hotel are not too high, and the hotel in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, will not work. This hotel is okay.

Spent a perfect couple of nights with family in Hotel Samudra. we got room number 304 where from balcony you can see the beautiful Bay of Bengal and walk just upstairs in the roof and you have 180 degree view of Puri beach and open sea. What else you need?! The staffs were really cordial and service is bang on time! Everyone has a smiling face in the hotel. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. This is a beach front hotel a little away from the congested Swarga Dwar hotels. So, those who love nature and solitude, this is a perfect hotel for them. We stayed in AC superior room on the 2nd floor.

the check in process was smooth... the room was kept ready for us... the room was cosy and tidy... because it's an old property there are certain repairs that needs to be done... but the rooms do have a vintage charm... our balcony had views of the pool and sea from far... room service was prompt and food tasted good... swimming pool is well maintained and supervised constantly... there is a gate which opens directly into the beach and new marine drive road... so access to beach is easy... breakfast was a good spread and variety of options was available... overall a pleasant experience. the only suggestion that I want to give is apart from maintainance, they can also work towards sustainable approach...the first step can be by removing plastic packaged drinking water bottles and replacing them with glass bottles and refilling them whenever required.
