A decent hotel with a great location. However, the room cleaning was subpar. More strikingly, there are 25 beehives on the hotel roof, and a massive swarm of bees had congregated on the terrace directly under a sun umbrella. When we requested the bees be removed from the terrace, it quickly became clear that the bees were prioritized over guests. They strung us along with promises for two days while supposedly dealing with them, and even after that, a significant number of bees continued to swarm on the terrace for quite some time. This whole situation was utterly unsatisfactory and left a very poor impression of the hotel's management. We will definitely be choosing a different hotel for our next stay.From€142

Negatives: The bed was a little old, right side was softer.

The hotel is in a great location accessible by tram. As a Gold Elite member, I also received a complimentary upgrade from the base room to a junior suite as well as other welcome gifts. Breakfast was served à la carte, and the amenities were great.
One small critique is that reception and guest services were often too busy to answer calls, requiring us to go down to the lobby for assistance. But overall, we had a very delightful and comfortable stay.From€446

A lot has changed since we were there 8 years ago. Instead of ONYX-BAR there is now a restaurant. The breakfast buffet has also been abolished. I still like the rooms very much, only the water stain on the ceiling could have been renovated. Shortcoming was the third bed that was added, more like a camp bed model.
The consumables were always replenished so we could make coffee whenever we wanted. I really appreciated that.From€223

This hotel boasts an excellent location, great rooms, top-notch service, and a fantastic breakfast. I'm really pleased with my choice.
**Location:** Getting here from the airport was a breeze – a direct 15-minute train ride (I think it was 5.5 euros) to the Central Station, and the hotel is visible as soon as you exit. You just need to find the right exit, which is flanked by restaurant stalls, including a Chinese one. We actually ate there twice; the food was delicious and affordable (around 15 euros per person).
**Rooms:** The hotel is relatively new, and the room size was perfect for two people. If you have a child, they could comfortably sleep on the sofa (though I'm not sure if it converts into a sofa bed). Trip.com stated the bed was 1.3 meters, but it felt larger in reality, perfectly fine for two. It was definitely better than the Novotel we stayed at in Edinburgh last year, and even cheaper, as the overall cost of living in Vienna is lower than in the UK. The bathroom had a good wet/dry separation, and the vanity counter was spacious enough to hold two toiletry bags.
**Breakfast:** The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with an impressive selection of fruits. My husband mainly focused on fruits and yogurt both mornings, while I enjoyed croissants, eggs, and coffee.
**Service:** There was no phone in the room, so if I needed anything, I just went down to the front desk. The room had a kettle, but bottled water was only provided on the first day of our stay (two bottles, one of which was sparkling). Tap water is potable. There were no slippers in the room, but you can ask the front desk for them. I even asked for two pairs to wear on the plane when we checked out, haha.
My biggest mistake on this trip was not bringing my own hairdryer. The hairdryers in European hotels are always so old-fashioned, with weak, barely warm airflow.From€103

The room is not very big. The bed is about 1.8 meters long. There are two small twin-sized mattresses put together, so turning over will not affect the people next to you. There are two beds in the room, which is not much different from two separate single beds. The room is relatively small, but it is clean and tidy. As for the facilities, since the hotel has a certain history, it is relatively old, but the maintenance is OK and there is no big problem in using it.
The area around the hotel is very quiet and safe. It is behind the museum area and you can quickly reach the museum by taking the small road. It is also within a 20-minute walk to the major attractions in the city.
The hotel's breakfast is a typical European continental breakfast, which is neither good nor bad, and is convenient. The hotel's waiters are good and respond to needs in a timely manner. Overall, the experience is good.From€122

Hotel Schani Wien might seem like a small boutique hotel but its staff are genuinely helpful and very cheerful. The moment you stepped into the hotel, you are very warmly welcomed. The rooms are big with a map of the general location of all the attractions on your hotel wall. The room design is cute, quirky, and unique. The room is big enough for a solo traveller, and should feed a couple just nicely. The tram service is just right outside, which makes travelling very simple. The major train station is just a few minutes walk away which has food services that opens till 11 pm in the evening.From€100

Location: Right next to Vienna's main train station, just a 2-minute walk away. There's a Spar supermarket in the station open until 11 PM. Tram, bus, and subway stops are nearby, as well as a bus station for trips to cities like Budapest and Bratislava, making travel very convenient. The closest local attraction is the Belvedere Palace, a 15-minute walk. Other attractions are a bit further, though still walkable.
Facilities: The room was spacious, but there's a big drawback – no door for the bathroom?! Even with the air conditioning on the hottest and strongest setting, it was still a bit chilly. It was fine for me alone, but it would be pretty awkward for two or more people. This design is very impractical. There's also no kettle, only a coffee machine. You can ask the front desk for an empty bottle to get unlimited mineral water from the dispenser at the main entrance on the ground floor. The TV isn't smart; you can't cast to it, and it's not an internet TV. The room itself was quite clean.
Service: Luggage storage is available, and the front desk staff were nice and friendly.
Overall: If you're not solely visiting local Vienna attractions, and the price is around 500-600 yuan, you might consider it. Otherwise, I'd recommend staying closer to the city center attractions.From€95

Super good, although the price is expensive, but it is worth the experience. The small suite I booked, the front desk said that you should wait a while, and there will be a suite with a balcony (although I later found that this balcony is nothing special). My husband waited until 5 o'clock to check in. Halfway in the lounge, he ordered a beer, and later said it was free. Asked my husband if he wanted other wine or snacks, all free, saying that we made you wait. It was said that an extra bed would cost about 1,000 yuan, but the hotel did not charge extra. In the end, they gave my child a lion in the hotel, which made me feel very happy.
