I thought it would be great considering the price plus I've stayed there before in mainland China. But I was a little disappointed. Although the facilities are maintained, you can tell they are old. Especially the shower water is sometimes hot and sometimes cold... I was a little dumbfounded how could there be such a problem. For breakfast, if you are staying for several days, I suggest you don't buy it every day because there are only four sets to choose from. But they are very exquisite~ and delicious. The overall service is great, nothing to complain about. Especially the front desk lady is super good. She helped me call a taxi. I needed to change the address temporarily and she ran out to confirm with the driver. It's great. The attitude is also very good. There are people to help with luggage when getting on and off the car👍🏻👍🏻

The room is clear with better look than online pictures. Staff are polite and willing to help. I have used the golf range, but since this is my first time, I did not have any golf clubs, the staff there was really helpful and taught me how to play.  We walked to the hotel from Namsan Park after trying to see the cherry blossoms, even it takes 10 minutes and need to go up to the mountain. We still think it was a really good experience. Recommend to staying when go to Seoul.

Stayed for three nights. The room was excellent and very clean. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant service was superb, and room service was also very good. The only truly appalling experience was at the nail bar on the 10th floor. I went there at 5 PM to book a manicure and facial, but the receptionist didn't even bother to glance at the screen. Before I had even finished speaking, she immediately told me they were fully booked for the day. When I asked about tomorrow's availability, she again didn't consult the screen or any appointment book, and instantly replied that nothing was available until after 12:50 PM the next day. If she had simply taken a moment to check a computer or an appointment schedule, I would have found her response more credible. An establishment like this has no place in a Four Seasons hotel; it genuinely tarnishes the hotel's brand and reputation. It was utterly disgusting.

The room temperature was comfortable, the surroundings were quiet and beautiful, and the service was five-star. The Four Seasons is always my first choice when traveling.

Customer services are impeccable. I didn’t get to experience the bars or the restaurants, so not much to tell there. The hotel has great view even if not facing towards the coex mall. Overall the room is comfy. Minus point is that when checking in I had to deposit but after check out after 14 days my refund hasn’t been shown in my statement. I hope the staffs are more aware of the process to be able to assure the clients.
- Vana Ramila
In general rooms were fine. But logistic at the hotel is so annoying. From ground floor you need to go to the lobby at 24th floor, and only after that you could take elevator to yours floor. Back way is the same, if you want to go outside you need to take elevator from yours floor to 24th, and from lobby to 1st floor. It’s so irritating.

This hotel is quite close to Olympic Hall and KSPO Dome, and you can definitely walk there, especially since it's in Seoul's tallest building, visible right from the venue. However, the value for money is a bit low; for the same price, I'd recommend Josun Palace. The hotel opened in 2017, but the facilities already feel dated. The view from the top floor isn't as visually appealing as Josun's either. Plus, because of its tower structure, the elevator lobby reminds me of high-rise offices in Shanghai's Pudong. The room type I booked included lounge access, but the offerings there were far inferior to those at the JW Marriott Seoul. On the bright side, it's very convenient to Lotte World below. There's also a street with food and pub options nearby that's bustling with locals even late at night, a walkable but not strictly necessary distance. Unless I need to attend another concert in the vicinity, I probably won't stay here again.

The environment was elegant and comfortable, the service was attentive and thoughtful, and the facilities were complete and convenient. My stay was excellent. The breakfast was rich and delicious, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing was superb, ensuring a full night's sleep.

Great location, service and room were great. Only hiccup was not being able to get a room with one large bed instead of 2 beds. (requested but unavailable). They did make it up by giving us some wine and cheese in the toom. Good touch. Parking was also included which is great. But you have to validate with the hotel each time you return. There was once, I asked for validation and it did not work. I had to pay for overnight parking first and the hotel them applied for refund. A bit inconvenient. If you go, make sure you use the gym and pool. Fantastic!!
- patniewoo
With New World Department Store conveniently located right downstairs, this hotel is ideal for families traveling with children. The gym is excellent, the pool water quality is great, and the staff at the golf practice bays are very friendly.

The hotel's location is fantastic! The rooms are spacious, clean, and stylishly fresh, offering a comfortable and elegant feel without being overly luxurious. It features smart toilets and Dyson hair dryers. The pool is beautiful and not crowded, and the sauna is comfortable, though it's a shame that children under 17 are not allowed in; my 15-year-old was turned away, so they missed out on that experience. I already knew from previous reviews that disposable toothbrushes and razors cost extra, so that didn't affect us. Breakfast was exquisite, delicious, and diverse. One room even came with a complimentary bottle of red wine, which was quite good. The other suite allowed free access to the bar in the evening, offering unlimited cocktails. There's a whole street downstairs with plenty of shops and eateries, including late-night snacks, which was lovely. Check-out was seamless.
- XinaideCherry
The room was spacious, and the bathroom was also large, featuring two sinks and a separate wet/dry area. The staff were very friendly and had good English. There's a garment steamer in the room. Breakfast was standard for a 5-star hotel, nothing particularly outstanding. Nearby, there's a convenience store and a BHC fried chicken delivery shop. We mostly used cars for getting around, so we didn't pay much attention to the immediate surroundings. The gym was a highlight; they offer free rental of gym clothes and shoes, and it includes a Pilates equipment studio and an indoor golf simulator. All the equipment is Technogym.

Excellent location, but the facilities were quite disappointing otherwise. The decor and design were reminiscent of an upgraded budget hotel. Housekeeping consistently left behind items like forgotten tissues or towels in the room. The most frustrating part was on the first day at check-in; the front desk staff, struggling with English, tried to assign me either a twin room or an accessible room, despite my booking for a standard single king-sized bed. After I refused, I was told there were no rooms available because the hotel was full. Excuse me?! If a hotel is full, guests should be upgraded, not asked to downgrade! After I firmly stated my refusal, the front desk claimed they'd consulted with a manager and found me a 'very good room.' It turned out to be the exact room type I had originally booked. What a ridiculous charade! Paying 2800 a night, I certainly didn't expect to experience such service and disrespectful treatment.
- 320084****
The room size is decent, and every inch of space is well-utilized. They provide complimentary snacks and drinks, and the front desk has concierge staff who speak Chinese. The hotel's fried chicken is genuinely delicious, just as my friend described; it's a must-try. The hotel's location is very convenient, it's clean, and the facilities are relatively new.

I stayed here 7 or 8 years ago when I was in Korea. I was impressed by this hotel with traditional Korean architecture. This time I traveled to Korea with my wife and chose this hotel again. It was still of excellent quality and impressive as always, worthy of a 5-star hotel.

This was a place I'd always wanted to visit, and I was lucky enough to snag a reservation and stay. It was fantastic having so many great spots for a walk nearby, like Hanok Village and Central Park. Just a heads-up: amenities aren't provided, so make sure to bring your own.

Location was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately for us, on our last night (16 August 2025) and up to checkout (17 August 2025), the A/C seemed not to function normally as the room was very warm, stuffy and humid amidst the super hot summer. Other than the warm and stuffy room on our last night till check out, all things were good. Not sure if it’s the malfunction of the A\C or the hotel’s intention to save costs on power.

This hotel was great in every aspect. The lighting, air conditioning, and other features in the room were all controlled by a smart pad next to the bed, which was pretty cool. The hotel's location is excellent; it's right next to Lotte Department Store, and Myeongdong shopping street is also nearby. Deoksugung Palace is across the street, so you can walk there, and Gyeongbokgung Palace isn't too far either, about 1km away, also within walking distance. A heads-up: Korean hotels typically don't provide complimentary toothbrushes. They're usually found in the paid minibar area and cost an additional 1100 won, which is quite different from what you'd find in China.

I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos. The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly. When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice. Will definitely be back. Grand Hyatt <3 !

The hotel is big and beautiful, full of services and a great taste in design. However, there’s too little staff compared to the space and the guests. Check-in line is very long, the waiting for your luggage to be delivered and picked up is longer than the average. Also, they do not provide a room where guests that check out could get changed/shower before going to the airport. Rooms are a little narrow and the bathroom not specially comfortable. The rooftop though is amazing :)

The service was outstanding, truly living up to its reputation as a Forbes-listed hotel in Seoul. While the room's decor is a bit dated, it was impeccably clean and tidy. Housekeeping was consistently five-star standard, which was truly excellent. All the staff spoke excellent English, and I was even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was much appreciated. The amenities are fantastic. There's a duty-free shop right opposite, and the hotel provides a shuttle service to Myeongdong and the subway station, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there's a convenience store near the subway station. Staying at The Shilla was exceptionally comfortable, and I'll certainly return on my next trip to Seoul.

Room reasonable. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (12 years old). Just managed to get our 3 bags and 1 carry in it. I would describe the layout as a bit weird. As you enter the sink and the pantry (coffee making facilities) are together. While one brushes his teeth the other one is making coffee. The bathroom is only wc and shower. The beds were comfortable and were sufficient for 4 of us. We did not have bfast but there is a CU in the hotel itself. The front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. Distance to Euljiro 4 station is just 100 meters away, moving around the city would be easy but walking to central areas like Myeongdong may be too far. Hotel is good if you are paying a reasonable price for it like usd 120-140. Unfortunately we booked during peak time and paid like USD 220 for it. Overall we were satisfied but be mindful of the pricing per night when you choose this hotel.

⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars) Location: 10/10 | Hotel: 5/10 I booked Sejong Hotel because of its excellent online ratings (8–10 range), but the actual experience didn’t quite match the reputation. The room was large and spacious, offering plenty of room to move around comfortably — that was the highlight. However, upon check-in around 12:30 PM, I was charged an early check-in fee even though I had requested it in advance. The bathroom had hair in the shower, a ring in the toilet bowl, and a faint bug-spray odor. Not terrible, but noticeable. Housekeeping didn’t provide full daily cleaning — they simply straightened up the room, replaced towels, restocked coffee, and made the bed. It looked tidy, but not freshly cleaned. Another challenge was the daily noise from demonstrators outside the hotel. The music was loud and went on much longer than the front desk claimed (they said only an hour a day). When I asked about it at check-in, the staff initially ignored my question before giving a dismissive answer. Overall, the location is absolutely prime — right next to the train station and within walking distance to several attractions — but the higher price seems to reflect that convenience, not five-star quality or an 8–10 rating. If you’re looking for a central spot and don’t mind average service or cleanliness, this hotel works. But if you’re expecting luxury or true 5-star standards, you may be disappointed.

We stayed on a high floor with a great view. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean and serviced daily. One day, I accidentally left the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on, so it wasn't cleaned, but when I returned in the evening, the front desk promptly provided fresh towels and slippers. The hotel service was also quite good; the staff were very friendly and helpful, and communication was smooth. Luggage storage was available too. The area around the hotel was very convenient for shopping and dining, with the bustling city center just a few minutes' walk away. Getting around was also easy, as public transportation was readily accessible with both subway and bus stations nearby.
