This was a nice resort. The service staff were kind and accommodating and let me check in early and upgraded my room when I told them I’m checking out at midnight and won’t even be sleeping over. It was so nice to just enjoy a pool day right before our 2:40 am flight. We had fun, took naps, and didn’t have to go to their airport too early to wait around. The evening buffet was delicious. We wanted to get a massage but the price was too much compared to other places. The beach was great to snorkel and we had a lot of fun looking at the fish. They had a fire show by the pool in the evening. Just a few concerning points: -The water from the shower was warm but didn’t get hot enough to enjoy so we had to take a bath instead which provided a good temperature - They need to update their carpet in the room so it looks more modern. This carpet looks like from the 90s. I know it can’t be that old but it’s got that vibe. -Two slides in the kids’ area were closed and not able to be used -Wave pool was closed I guess I knew this would happen. When you go to these kinds of places, there’s always something that’s closed or broken. -The beach sand is very hard, wear water shoes All in all, it’s a nice resort. Very bustling, full of energy and lovely.

Got a beautiful mactan ocean suite room with perfect view. Kiddos loved it all!! The slides and fireshow etc. Close to airport can easily access with grab taxi.

This is a fantastic journey! Highly recommend! Shangri-la is the best hotel in cebu All staffs are very friendly and enthusiastic! The service is so sweet . Although our flight are delayed , the staff still wait us in the airport for 1 hours and pick up us quickly by their car. The room is so tidy and comfy , the view is amazing!

Great hotel. Staff at reception and around the location super friendly and safe. My room did have a damp smell which didn't go away. Parts of the hotel are a little tired and need to be modernised.

My wife, son, and I went there for my birthday. We wanted to try a new resort in Cebu. Wow were we overwhelmed and surprised. The Sheraton staff treated us with kindness and as if we had been there multiple times. Every single staff member greeted us. From the housekeeping to the guards at both entrances. They even took my son by the hand and kept him entertained while we were checking in. They gave him popcorn. I was also shocked at the one restaurant when they sang happy birthday and gave me a wonderfully delightful cake. It was so smooth and silky. The food was also perfect and tender. The sauce for the fries was very creamy and tasty. For the first time in the almost twelve years in Cebu, even having been to numerous Cebuano resorts including Shangri-la everything was 100 percent perfect. The wifi was strong and no lag, the food was perfect, parking perfect, staff were perfect, beach and pool were clean and perfect. We even go to feed the fish as well which the guard at the water activities area gave us. I mean it was all around perfect for the first time here in Cebu. At Breakfast they even gave me a thank you cake for staying there. I couldn't believe it. It really felt homey and that warm feeling. For the money we spent it was 100 percent worth it. Oh by the way the atmosphere was perfect too. No loud people on cellphones everywhere talking or taking selfies and the like.

All the staff in Sheraton resort were so incredibly nice and helpful! I and my fiancée are planning to come back in next year. The location and the views were stunning. The facilities were modern and clean. Can’t wait to revisit again.

One word to describe Bluewater Sumilon Island would be PARADISE! We were greeted by a mild-mannered receptionist (if i remember it right, Kevin) before we hopped on the boat. Sit on the first row, if you wish to enjoy the water splashes. We didn't mind as we were still wearing our swimmers from our whaleshark experience. We got there about 1pm, the room was ready about 3pm, but no trouble, because we enjoyed alone time in the infinity pool, took a nap on the daybeds, enjoyed a ”must order” halo halo on a buko, and fruit smoothies! What makes this place awesome is the staff, from the pool guy who picks up every leaf falling on the water, to the porters who helped our bags, to the friendly people at the reception and the dining area, even the nice ladies at the Amuma lounge. William's smile and attentive service is really heart warming. I'm not surprised why he's popular! Security is spot on! My husband flew a drone in front of our room and was told off 10 seconds later, which we are ok to abide. When snorkelling, I highly recommend getting a guide to the marine sanctuary. It's so worth it! It's good that the guides protect the sanctuary. There are only areas where you can snorkel, but plenty of fish, corals and clown fish. We stayed in premier deluxe room, which was very spacious, closest to the sandbar and best spot to watch the sunrise. Buffet dinner and breakfast are really good with plenty of options. Highly recommend, but would stay for more than 1 night next time.

Food nice but expensive than other local restaurants .Howevr it is worth it ,coz you can sit next to the sea ,lagoon and the mangrove . Corals and underwater are vlose by and beautiful ,you can also see baby shark just in front of your toom (my rm no is no 1). Services and maintenanve both outstanding apart the front desk, Lory ,who seemed not care to help us when greeted us on arrival without telling any facilities on the island and in the hotel, instead just giving me a key to walk to the room ourselves. She siad we could ask her if we have any questions. But , when i went to the desk try to arrange a transfer for checkout date ,she told us to discuss it next day. The life guide ,toto, who is excellent ,had shown around the under water. The treck trial is about 30min you walk throughout the bush to the sandbar . The swimming pool is also a very good place to relax yourself, as you have a good view overlooking the sea

My family enjoyed our stay at Crimson. Amenities are superb and world-class. Rooms and entire vicinity are clean. The villa in which we stayed was the best! We had a great experience from check in to departure. Everything was fast, smooth snd organized. Perfect service indeed. Crimson staff is the best! Everyone we met was friendly and accomodating, ready to serve, answered all queries and met our needs. Crimson will have a special place in our hearts! Thank you Crimson for everything! God bless! :)

Besides Crimson's great facilities and amenities, we love the quality of their customer service. They go above and beyond just to ensure their customers' convenience and safety. We were there during the landfall of typhoon Odette, 16 Dec 2021, and all of their staff members were always ready to assist us every time we need help or have questions. This hotel & resort is highly recommended and the staff highly commendable. 👍

Amazing spa service with amazing result for lobby. Look Sunset bar was strategically located next to the swimming pool and the infinity view of the ocean. Dinner buffet was surprisingly romantic, situated in the garden next to the bay front left the ambience however, they need to consider to pack their table and chair later not when the guest are still having their dinner so attitude was great everyone’s greeting you and treating you l with friendly and welcoming attitude:From the front doorman to the kitchen stuff you met at the corridor. Since Ball is the heart of energy after 8 pm with the set up of pool, table, darts and acoustic band at the night, the other part of the result were quiet and not so happening .. the room facing sea with amazing view come with the one chair balcony which supposed to be 2. there’s a tiny bit of smell on the right side bed if you’re sleeping there close to the wall of the bathroom.
- TravelTinkerbell
One waitress informed us that the evening buffet was only 500 pesos per person but when we received our check it was 1350 per person. I was outraged by being misled by the staff. If the staff, see you have money they will continue to hound you by asking you many questions and offering different packages to you. The room was good and had a very beautiful view of the seaside view. The pool was very large and shallow, it needs a deep cleaning as there are stains on the edges and in the kid's area. The food was overpriced for the buffet and the Korean restaurant.

We checked in last Sept.15-17 in Fili hotel we had a blast my family were satisfied all the services they offered. The hotel is a five star hotel, so its all worth it what you paid for. The last day we checked out accidentally we left my sons’s iphone in the room we noticed it when we were on the road heading home. I messaged the duty manager MR. STEVEN ROYO SANTIAGO assured to me that phone is just there in the room. Other staff were looking and asking others to help them to find until MR STEVEN SANTIAGO personally went to the room and searched and he found it. I am so happy, HONESTY and INTEGRITY is the right words for you sir STEVEN thank u so much.

The hotel markets itself as a 5-star hotel in Cebu but it is way waay far from that star rating. I will be listing down good things about this hotel but you also have to consider the following items that I listed below. Pros: 1. It has the better ball room/ convention halls in the entirety of Cebu. 2. Rooms are spacious and new 3. Elegant interior and facade Cons: 1. First night, I reported that there is a foul smell in my room but the telephone operator sarcastically told me that the hotel is fully booked because of the event that we were having. The duty manager came and told me that all of the rooms smell just like mine. What he did was spray an aerosol. I even said to have an air filter or aeromatic in my room to help remove the smell while sleeping. He guaranteed to have it delivered but none came to my room that night. We are out the entire day so on the second night upon entering my room, I complained again because apparently none from the housekeeping nor from the front desk tried to resolve the issue. This time, the smell was unbearable. Like something was wet and it didn't dry off properly. I waited outside the room because the telephone operator told me that the attendant will be in my room in 15 minutes to spray again the air freshener. So I waited outside. 20 minutes passed, I called again and told that no one came. The same duty manager (from last night) arrived a couple minutes later rushing and now told me that there is indeed a foul smell in my room but to my dismay, we waited again outside the room because the attendant was not with him. This time, he told me that the foul smell has been a common problem they receive. This statement surprised me considering we talked about this the night before and he gaslighted me about my complaint. This time, he offered to transfer me and upgrade my room but with all the stuff I have, I told him I do not want to transfer and just to resolve the issue. He then sprayed the air freshener and decided to leave it here. Basically, my issue stopped because I stopped complaining, not because they resolved my issue. 2. Hallways going to guest rooms smell paint and construction materials. Even the elevator smelled like this. 3. Breakfast was repetitive. 4. You can see construction everywhere. Most especially to the rooms on the lower floor. While the ”soft opening” phase is acceptable with all the construction and eye sores, customer service should not be compromised. If you are planning to stay here, please manage your expectations.

All on expected level except one but pretty critical for me issue - air conditioning system is covered in mold. It have had severe implications for me - I’m allergic to mold and have got severe allergies just few hours after arrival while I couldn’t figure out what caused it. Room felt very moist and smelly, so I was hoping turning on air conditioning will fix a problem in a couple of hours, but it get significantly worst. I’ve got another room assigned after I have identified reason (photo attached); alternative room was having less issues (not obviously smelly), but air conditioning system was covered in mold as well. Also pool was on maintenance, what was not announced while I was booking… traveling with kid, I’d have booked another hotel if I had this info.

This visit to Marco Polo truly saddened me. If you read some of my past reviews of this hotel I noted it was my favorite place to stay anywhere in the world. This was my first post Covid visit and I was shocked and disappointed. - Basic maintenance has not been completed. For example, there is a glass elevator that goes to Blu their rooftop restaurant. This elevator was out of order and when I asked why I was told “Covid.” Covid travel restrictions were lifted a long time ago and that’s no excuse. In a second example, we returned to our room after a long night and the key did not work. It turned out the battery in the electronic device on the door needed to be replaced and the front desk understand the issue immediately, so this must happen often. Good hotels replace these batteries on a schedule so the guests never suffer from dead batteries. - Service, which used to be outstanding?@, is now unacceptable. First, the English language skills of most employees we encountered were sub par. Second, the person who checked me in was being trained, so the check in process was very slow. Third, service at the poolside bar during lunch was slow, the waitstaff inattentive and they failed to include my banana shake on the bill so as we are leaving the grab us and give us a second bill to pay. Fourth, service at breakfast was terrible. I had to ask for black tea three times before I got it, seeking some out 3 times as no one ever came to check on us. When we arrived around 9 AM there was no bacon (later replenished with bacon that looked so bad I did not even try it, fatty and not crisp), there was 1 banana, which was never replenished, there were no juice glasses (later replenished). The food quality was adequate but not nearly up to pre-Covid standards. Overall the service was lacking. - I was also disappointed that the lobby lounge, which used to have live music every night now has piano music only and only 1 night per week I am told. - There was a cart of dirty linens in our hallway both days Some of these things are not expensive or hard to fix. It doesn’t cost a lot to have live music in the lounge nightly as there are lots of singers groups looking for opportunities. It doesn’t cost a lot to make sure you change door card batteries regularly Others are basic requirements if doing business. For example you don’t leave a glass elevator to one of the most expensive restaurants in Cebu out of order for month/years. I am purchasing a condo unit in Marco Polo residences and expected to regularly visit the hotel for meals/drinks, but if this is the quality and service we can expect, then I will not be utilizing their services.

IT park is a great central location for a short stay in Cebu. The apartment was perfect, well furnished with everything you'll need. There's laundry & dry cleaning services downstairs and shopping, dining, and entertainment with in short walking distance. I'd recommend Sugbo Mercado (outdoor food court) for evening food options. I actually bumped into the owner Jason and he was kind enough to show me another apartment he has available and recommend nearby Gym. I'll definitely be booking this apartment for my next stay in Cebu.

Great city view. Room size is above average meaning bigger than other deluxe Seda rooms we’ve been to. Misto resto is with a great view but it can be easily get full and refill takes time especially the bacon. There is direct access to the Mall which is a good thing however there is not much yet in the Central Block Mall but the basics are there. It could have been 5 star if not for the front desk who called in the middle of the night 10:30pm. They interrupted our sleep for a mistake. We were asleep when they called to ask if we’re done with the iron and board which we previously requested but declined because there was no available. Other than that, it was a great 2N/3D. We’ll comeback when in town.

I had a wonderful Christmas Hotel 2022 Staycation experience courtesy of the Main Hotel and Suites located in Barangay Banilad in the City of Cebu. This is my 21st Hotel-Resort-Farm-Campground Staycation in total here in Cebu since Christmas 2020. I instantly noticed most of their guests are foreign tourists. I easily feel the warmth the moment they welcomed me and I could feel at home away from home with their kind and accommodating staff like the  Housekeeping personnel, Irene Tolentino who carry my traveling bag to my standard queen room while having my vlogging, and Stanlee Montecalvo for the maintenance for something that needs to be fixed with Security Guard Jonathan Mendoza who act as my cameraman and delivered all my needs in the room. All these things are made possible by Front Office Associate Joyce Villanueva from the booking reservations up until our constant communication as she instantly answered all my queries and requests weeks before my stay. I got the biggest surprise when I was given that amazing Christmas gift hotel room upgrade on that Christmas morning when Front Office Associate Sheila Matuguina handed me the key for the Main Suite Room with a king-size bed, a sofa, a spacious shower & toilet, a personal refrigerator, a kettle, safety deposit box and has a small balcony overlooking the city view. I could still remember this beautiful serene Christmas night when I powered off all the lights while I was seating on top of my big king-size mattress with large soft pillows at my back and on my head while leaning on the wall. I was deeply mesmerized by the beauty of the city by night from the main suite room window. I couldn't imagine that I can have this kind of wonderful celebration on Christmas night blessed with good weather and a good climate. Two years ago, we were in quarantine and social distancing with strict protocol to follow brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, and a year ago, we are to deal with the devastating aftermath of super typhoon Odette without power, no water supply, limited supply of food, most houses were destroyed and several families were homeless. No wonder they have been awarded Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Award winning for consecutive years for the kind of service they have given me. With this track record, now I know the reason why travelers both local and foreign nationals choose to stay here because I, myself personally experience it.

”Comfortable Chic”... I don't have enough good words to say about Lex Hotel. Hotels to us are just a place to sleep in. It's more important to have a clean and cool room, a comfortable bed and a very sanitary bathroom - all 3 are 5☆ in my book. It's apparently 12 years old... well maintained; very accommodating staff; complimentary breakfast above par and well centered in the City (we're senior New York residents), so walking to Ayala mall and IT Park was a big sweat but not out of the ordinary for us - distance wise. If you're from a driving city, it might be a struggle for you; but if you're adventurous enough, the local aircon jeep/minibus rides are a mere US$.40 cents and up depending on distance. My plus - the best campari and orange juice in Cebu!!! Well definitely coma back to this hotel in the future.

Me and my friend stayed at mad monkey for 5 days which was far too long but we didn’t know when we booked that there wasn’t much to do. When we arrived we didn’t get the most friendly welcome from reception we didn’t get told about any events going on in the hostel or any trips that the hostel were offering We found the room was quite dirty and very loud on the road side. The air con made the loudest noises and half the time it was hot. The room smelt very mouldy and damp. The floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned for months especially looking under the beds. The walls were cracked and the paints hanging of the walls. No one cleaned the room in 5 days but we did get toilet roll delivery’s. We found it quite hard to chill near the pool as there wasn’t any comfy chairs and it was a greenhouse in there and soo hot we couldn’t sit there for long. It’s all enclosed and we was told on a very occasions that they couldn’t turn on the aircon. We was pretty disappointed with the food prices(the food was nice) although the pizza doughs were a bit undercooked they were so expensive to say it’s a hostel with backpackers on a budget staying there. For 2 meals it cost us £15. And we spent £3 getting a can of red bull which would cost less in England. We wanted to join in on the beer pong one night and we was told we wasn’t aloud to play if we didn’t buy a bucket of beer which was a big of a money making scheme really so we didn’t end up playing and we didn’t want to drink that night to save on money. Everyone should be able to play as some people don’t drink alcohol. We enjoyed to music quiz we found that was a good laugh. The music was very good in the bar and the dj was great. We also found out you couldn’t buy bottled water which was disappointing so we went to the shop to get bottles. They only have one water dispenser in the full building which is very inconvenient and should have one on every floor. we thought the monkey punch was great and did get you drunk with the free shots. Our only recommendation is that you do this promotion later as 7-8 is still quite early if you don’t go out till 12. Overall wasn’t the best and wouldn’t recommend for backpackers on a budget.

We arrived at express inn hotel and it was very nice. We can have separate rooms and it is very affordable. You can have more plans and save money. More fun with my friends here. They are very kind also.

I loved how responsive the hotel was when i requested for my friend to be added as a guest. The people at the reception were helpful and courteous. The room itself was spacious and clean. I see reviews about the rooms not having an aircon that can cool the room, it only took me a few adjustment and it got cold, the controls were just confusing. What I liked the most was that the breakfast was available all throughout the day so my friend who was partying a lot at night was happy to hear he could still have ”breakfast” in the afternoon haha.

I booked a room for 2 nights for my gf and her daughter. I know that its beyond the hotels control that they didnt have some of the facilities because of typhoon Odette, but I booked the room in the understanding that there was a gym and a pool, neither of which could be provided, This was very disappointing, my step daughter likes to swim and my gf would want her to do that to get some time for herself too. The gym being closed also was another disappointing step, because my gf was wanting to be able to work out and again I booked the room because these facilities were advertised tp be on offer. My GF had said the room itself was nice enough but was not cleaned at any point despite her contacting reception on numerous occasions and being assured that it would. The hotel generator kicked in at 7:30am with a cacophony of noise, which lasted hours. This was beyond the pale, and she complained asking to have a change of rooms but this was not accommodated. The staff were polite and agreeable but they did not do what they said they would, again this is not good enough. The location was good, but frankly most everything else was below a good standard.
