The room was a little small, but everything I needed was compactly packed. The lockers in the changing room at the large bath were small, so it was difficult to get changed when it was crowded. The water was thick and good for a bath.

It's very convenient because it's next to the station. There is also a large public bath, so I think it's good value for money. There are also many amenities, and I was grateful that they gave me new towels every day. The room is still very small, but I think it's more than enough if you just want to sleep.

In the mornings, opening the curtains to watch trains slowly pull in feels like something out of a movie. Hakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character. It’s onsen is natural spring water and though the bath are relatively modest, it never gets crowded. They provide free bus shuttles to and from the Kanazawa station and is a very helpful feature. Rooms are large and well appointed and everything in the fridge - water, tea, orange juice and beers are free and topped up everyday. The stained glass in the lobby area and in the rooms are nice touched included the very nice pottery ware used for breakfast! Breakfast buffet spread is both western and Japanese and they even now have sparkling wine and sake for breakfast!

This was my second stay at the hotel, and I again stayed in a high-floor executive room. The hotel offers a lounge. The service was warm and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The only downside was the significantly reduced food selection in the lounge. Afternoon tea only had three types of cakes left, with no salad or savory snacks. Breakfast also only had yogurt and fruit. The drink selection was also much smaller; last year there was Yakult in the morning, but this year it wasn't available, which felt like a major downgrade. For breakfast, we tried both options during our two-night stay:
The first morning, we had the three-way blackthroat seaperch dish at Omicho Market. The fish was delicious, and the ochazuke (rice with tea) was fresh and flavorful. This is a great option if you plan on trying multiple local foods throughout the day, as it's not too filling.
On the second day, we opted for the buffet breakfast on the hotel's first floor. There was a wide variety of choices, but it did get quite crowded, so I recommend going early. This is perfect if you have travel plans for the day, as a hearty breakfast here could easily carry you through lunch.
The room itself was reasonably spacious. The TV conveniently displays real-time occupancy updates for the public bath. Compared to other business hotels in Japan, Mitsui Hotels tend to be more consistently reliable and modern.FromIDR 1,344,207

This was the best out of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and there's a bus stop conveniently located nearby. The superior double room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-thought-out layout that included a microwave and a washer-dryer. This is a great hotel, I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's right across the street from the JR station exit. The toiletries are complete, and the drip coffee the front desk gave me was delicious. The 7-Eleven outside the hotel is large, but they don't restock quickly enough, so you might want to buy things at the JR station and bring them back. There are tourist buses from the JR station that make getting to attractions very convenient, or you can walk to them after dinner. Best was the receptionist! A young and very professional gentleman that helped us with everything along our stay, he normally works in Kyoto but came for a week to the hotel in kanazawa. Hope to see you at the hotel insomnia KYOTO next time we pass through. Highly recommend this hotel!

i could hear the traffic clearly on the 3rd floor, so they moved me to the 12th floor where it was mostly quiet. there was an electrical buzzing sound coming from the bathroom, i thought it was the lightbulb, but when i got in the shower it sounded like it emanated from the vent. i shut the bathroom door and it was almost inaudible from bed so i was able to sleep. definitely quieter than most of the japanese hotels i've experienced in this price range.

free water machine on every floor (i think). free coffee in the lobby. convenience stores nearby. expensive grocery store ~200 meters. regular grocery stores are a bus ride away, so it made more sense to me to get the buffet.
breakfast costs 1800yen when paying in-person, but when adding it on trip.com it was less of an increase in cost. it was disappointing because there were pictures of different kinds of fish online and on the picture in the hotel lobby, but they didn't have fish as seen kin the pictures. i still purchased the breakfast when i extended my stay because they had eggs, good vegetables, and ice cream. the fruit was in syrup so i'm guessing it was from a can. orange juice was from a carton. i didn't see any meat in the curry, just potatoes. overall, mostly cheap, but with a few tasty items of quality.
only 2 washing machines and they also dry the clothes so it takes ~2 hours. 400-600 yen for washing and drying. it dispenses detergent automatically, but the detergent was insufficient so i added my own and rewashed it; therefore, i was unfortunately hogging 1 of the 2 machines for several hours. plus it cost me well over 1000 yen.FromIDR 623,055

The hotel reception and waitstaff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The room was very clean, with a simple yet stylish design. In the evenings, you could enjoy soba noodles in the lobby and even order a sake set to chill with friends. I even asked the front desk if I could bring my own snacks to enjoy with the free drinks. It was a very comfortable space. If you're staying for a day or two, I recommend trying the hotel breakfast. Both the Japanese and Western options were delicious, especially the bread 🥯. I bought breakfast every day during my 3-day stay, but I got tired of having the same thing daily 😂. Despite the no-refund policy, I wanted to cancel breakfast on my last day. The staff were very thoughtful and said that even though a refund wasn't possible, I could take away some bread 🖤.
