We had the pleasure of staying once again at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. It's our favorite staycation location for special occasions. This time was to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary. I had stayed a few weeks before on a ”girls trip” and spoke to the front desk to request a room with a specific view for the anniversary trip. We received an outstanding room in 4205. We overlooked the flowing stream and koi pool and Catalina Mountains to the north. Anaya at the front desk and Peter, the bellman, were outstanding and their warm, welcoming personalities made the stay extra special. Thank you to them both.

The overall design of the hotel is great, and every place has been carefully designed. The hotel is built on a hill with a natural waterfall that is said to protect more than 30 endangered species. There is a golf course in front, a swimming pool in the back, a bar and gym facilities, and many golfers come on weekends. We booked a big bed room without breakfast, the room is 45 square meters, very spacious

We have offered this feedback to corporate and property general management via email with no reply. Sadly, due to the issues that we experienced we probably won't be visiting again. Its a beautiful property but the staff and issues we experienced don't allow us to highly recommend. (+)At check-in my wife had a helpful and excellent experience with Jaime Ortiz. He took the time to help her get our family and our luggage to the room since I had not arrived yet. He is to be commended for his genuine attention and how truly eager he was to help. (-)My wife enjoyed cocktails from the Azul lounge and unfortunately received very aloof service from the female bartender with dark hair and glasses. I also experienced this same level of dissatisfactory service from this particular bartender on a separate occasion on Saturday. (-) Saturday morning our room was covered by black ants. My wife called the front desk and asked that housekeeping or maintenance please come to the room to address the issue. The issue was not taken care of until a few hours later while we were at the pool. (+) Saturday, we spent our breakfast at Azul and Tommy was our server. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. He made recommendations for entrée selections and interacted with our children in a genuine way. (+) We spent Saturday late morning and early afternoon at the pool and Andrea helped us with our alcohol and food order. She was very sweet and checked on us as she saw us around at the different pools. (+) We booked our 2 children into the Kids Club from 5:50pm-7:50pm on Saturday. Hannah was efficient in the reservation and check in process. Our children detailed that they had fun. (+) We wanted to enjoy some tapas from Contigo while our kids were in the Kids Club but didn’t know how to get there. We went to the front desk and Andrianna actually came around the desk and walked us to the door to ensure we had correct directions. She was the 2nd employee, from Jaime (mentioned earlier) that went above and beyond to help my family. (+) At Contigo our experience was perfection, which we hadn’t experienced at La Paloma up to the point unfortunately. My wife made sure to ask for the manager, Jorge, and share that Erin O and our server Danny V were such great staff members throughout our meal! (-) We returned to our room to see that the ants were still prevalent now having gotten into all of my children’s snacks and a dozen cookies we had delivered to the hotel for our children as a Saturday night surprise. Ants were in my son’s shoes and our carryon bags. It was a mess and my wife had to spend some time on her staycation cleaning our room and hotel furniture, and throwing out so much food! (-) We went to breakfast again at Azul on Sunday morning and Michelle was our server. She forgot to fulfill some of our small requests and our drinks were not refilled in our meal. When she came to bring our bill she open mouthed coughed onto my son and his pancakes. This is appalling! She made n

We had just relocated from the excellent Marriott at Desert Ridge, Phoenix and were looking forward to a further weeks R&R at this Marriott hotel. On arrival the reception staff could not find us a room as they were fully booked for there weekend with a number of conventions. After an hour we were found an ambulant room, perversely far away from the hotel and pool. The hotel continued to let us down. We received a printout on check-in saying our room would be fully serviced daily. This did not happen and we were eventually told room service would be by request. Over the 7 nights we were there we had our room serviced twice. We were told to collect our own towels and to put our trash in the trash bins by the elevators. We ended up buying our own coffee and milk for our morning drink and we bought soap for our showering. We were there for a week and intended to get some pool side in. The pool loungers were the worst in the world and had no toppers. It was impossible to spend more than a couple of hours on them before feeling the ache in ones back. Mr Sudan, the man in charge of the pool, was excellent, but one of his reliefs would have benefitted from a spell in care. The hotel is showing signs of lack of care and general cleanliness with bags, old towels and general dirt showing on balustrades, in elevators and around the complex. Conversely the gardens surrounding the hotel were excellent. This hotel is clearly going through some pain and I suspect largely caters for weekenders and conventions. For those who want to stay a little longer this hotel is not for you. Stay away.

I enjoyed my staycation here very much. While some reviewers observe that the hotel is old and dated, in general, that was not at all my experience (except for the drapes in the room which may have been from the last century). Fact is - this IS an old hotel and a Tucson landmark. My room and balcony were comfortable, clean, and pleasant. The soaking tub was delightful. My room overlooked the pool (salt water!) which added to my enjoyment. The bed was comfortable as were the chairs, large ottoman, and small sofa. I liked the computer desk. The grounds abound with native plants. I don’t play golf, but I understand that it is an excellent course. Only one of the two pools was open due to Covid restrictions, but it was thoroughly delightful and there was plenty of shade from umbrellas, decent lounge chairs, and some comfortable outdoor upholstered furniture available as well. I did not use the spa or fitness center, so I can’t comment on that. A few negatives in my book, though. First, the hotel is nowhere near ADA compliant. I understand a major upgrade is in the works so hopefully those issues can be addressed. Second, I think it’s ridiculous to charge for self-parking. Third, the hotel was not following the current CDC guidelines for indoor masking. The few times that I actually had to go into the lobby, I was the only person wearing a mask. When I compare that to a recent stay at another local resort where every single staff person and most of the guests I saw indoors were masked - I think that is inexcusable. Finally, the tv selections are heavily skewed to sports of all kind to the detriment of entertainment. Finally, the bed linens were pretty tired. Overall, I think the Omni Tucson is delightful. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to my friends. I look forward to the unveiling of the new and improved resort.

We recently stayed at the Omni National Resort in Tucson and had a moderately pleasant experience. The front desk reception was not friendly or welcoming which probably got our stay off on the wrong foot. All other hotel staff, including housekeeping, pool bar and attendants, and restaurant wait staff, were very friendly, welcoming, attentive and accommodating. The restaurant available for breakfast was The Table located in Bob’s Steakhouse and the meals we had there were excellent. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the basic eggs with protein breakfast and both were wonderful. We also had appetizers in the Legends Bar and Grill and very much enjoyed the food, drinks, and experience there as well. The room was very large. I enjoyed the deep soaking tub and the lovely bathroom amenities. We also enjoyed our patio. The bed and mattress seemed old and overall the room appeared to worn and old and not very clean. The grounds could use some better upkeep and cleaning. The pool was very nice but it was quiet and did not have a very upbeat or fun atmosphere. The pool area could have also used some better cleaning and attendance. We were supposed to have a guaranteed late check out of 4 pm because we used the Amex Platinum Hotel Collection to book our room, however when I called to request a late check out the front desk was very reluctant to grant the request and would only agree to a 2 pm check out. Again, very disappointed with the level of hospitality from the front desk reception. Also through the Hotel Collection we were supposed to have been given a room upgrade upon availability, and despite the resort being very empty, I am pretty sure we were not given a room upgrade. Our stay was moderately enjoyable but I do not think we will return to the Omni in Tucson. The Loews at Ventana Canyon is a far superior resort for often the same rate and sometimes even less.

Check in service was friendly, servers were sweet, and room-service was prompt. However, staff is totally lacking in any hospitality training and it is obvious that the hotel (i can't say it's a resort) is using the pandemic as an excuse to employ less staff and therefore, not provide cleaning in guest rooms, as well as, no obvious santitization in common areas. The common areas are unclean; the lounge and breakfast restaurant floors were dirty every morning. We chose a 'resort' expecting at least an effort in these areas. Instead we're paying a resort fee as a handout for nothing in return. We booked a junior suite for our family. Though we asked for mountain views on a top floor, we got no view on a ground floor at the bldg entrance. Our check-in staff said 'but we upgraded you to a suite' till we pointed out that we had booked it and it was not an upgrade. Food is mediocre--at best. Our food order was messed up both times we ordered (hence we did not order any more); red chile fundido container came to us upside down in a bag; our tortilla soup came to us without queso, tortilla *****s or black beans and tasted like it was out of a can; flourless chocolate torte came on a plate pasted in coffee icing; and breakfast parfait was a spoon of yogurt with sweetened granola and honey and doused in over-sweet fruit jam that did not seem fresh.

We are Hilton Silver Members and look for nicer resort type hotels when staying out of town. I had messaged the hotel before arriving to confirm our accommodations and was asked what time we were arriving which was around 3. When we arrived I was a little disappointed that our room wasn’t ready. I was surprised because it was very quiet at the hotel. We waited an hour for our room to be ready. I was extremely dissatisfied that the room was not cleaned properly. New sheets and towels and that’s it. Floor had hair in the bathrooms, as did the tubs and toilet. My mom put towels on the floor to keep from walking on it! I called and asked for housekeeping to do a full cleaning the next day. We were there and still didn’t clean the floors, or toilet, until I showed them. Are you kidding me. Hiltons website guarantees a clean room and lists mopping floor, wiping down everything, all of which was not done! On our last day I spoke to the manager on duty and she assured me this won’t continue and that she would comp one night and pay for our breakfast. I was satisfied with the compensation, but probably will never stay here again and I now question Hilton standards in general. Otherwise, it’s a very nice property on the outskirts of Tucson with 2 pools, golf and tennis.

Really nice spot with very friendly staff, I love the swimming pools; not too crowded in the middle of the summer, and a great summer rate! Room was very spacious too. One of the pools was a nice, smaller pool down a path, and one was larger, adjacent to the mail area. There is also a lap pool which I did not go. I did not try the restaurant although it looked great. There was a nice little porch in front of the room too. I recommend this place.

Beautiful grounds, attentive service, large room, and excellent food. Enjoyed a fabulous massage and the hot tub as well. Gold is a magnificent dining room, and the bar and grille had excellent live blues music the night we went!

The room is large and the bathroom is large. Clean and tidy, staying is not bad. Located in the University of Arizona campus. At 6 o'clock in the morning, the sound of construction work began to come, with a little noise. . 20 minutes drive from Tucson Airport, no traffic jam, very convenient. There is a lively dining street and supermarket behind the hotel.

No breakfast, the location is very good. Very suitable for bringing a family to play with, the most important thing is that it is very close to the University of Arizona. It is very convenient to visit the University of Arizona. There is a parking lot nearby.
