First of all, service from Bagdea, Jaathu, Kishaulya and the young restaurant girl (forgot her name, my bad) made my stay warm and quite pleasant. They were all quite helpful. When I was late arriving at the hotel and the sky was dark, Kishaulya texted to enquire. That felt reassuring. I didn't really enjoy the breakfast buffet but at dinner, I had a good a la carte meal. Sigiriya is a little town rather self contained. Apart from the pool, there isn't much entertainment at the hotel although they had a cultural performance and a pop singer on the 2 nights I was there. You have to appreciate the ecological side of the Sigiriya area. So if you are looking for energetic activities, then it's not for you. Unless you count climbing the Lion Rock! My room was nice and spacious although I would have preferred a double bed instead of 2 singles. On my 2nd day, I went out of the hotel to have lunched and hung the sign for my room to be made up. Upon my return, I was pleasantly surprised someone noticed and did it in the short time I was away. So I found that I was well taken care of there

The views around are breathtaking. On the downside: weak breakfasts (wide selection, but not much tasty food) and insects in the room.

This is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.

In general, we were satisfied with our stay at the hotel despite the heavy rains. The attention of the staff is felt.When you check in - a drink, and the room is waiting for a fruit plate, which is very pleasant. Beautiful large area, with a classy pool,pleasant rooms. In the room, a separate shower and a separate toilet. Beds are not very comfortable and pillows.No blanket,just a bed.Most of the roses in the old-fashioned room,they are not suitable for the crossovers. Food:Dinner and breakfast-Swedish table.Choice is good,not all delicious,but you can find something to eat and not stay hungry.We had dinner included-he on the menu.It was provided on the day of departure,because on the day of arrival we didn't have time.The dinner was very much liked, restaurant dishes, good servings. Still satisfied. Excellent price-quality ratio. Separate thanks to the manager of SAMALKA for solving all questions and a memorable gift for the end!

This hotel is located in the forest within walking distance of Sigiriya. Since it’s in the forest, I expected there to be a lot of insects, but to my surprise, there were hardly any inside the room, and I was able to stay comfortably. I had booked for two nights, planning to climb Sigiriya Rock in the morning and then relax by the pool in the afternoon. However, it seems that the hotel has a policy of turning off the electricity in the rooms during the daytime. Although I asked a staff member to turn the main power back on and they did, it was soon turned off again. When the main power is off, the room becomes completely dark, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the air conditioner works. It was clear that even if I asked them to turn it back on again, the same thing would just keep happening. I felt it would only add to my stress, so I decided to move to another hotel.

This place was so lovely! The rooms are individual cabanas in a relaxing jungle setting. The pool and poolside bar was clean and comfortable with lots of areas to sit and seek shade. The villa in Sinhajiri, located in the western province of Sigiriya (English name: Green Hut Nature Resort), is accurately said to be a Sri Lankan house, the location is a bit biased, completely rural feeling. The yard is very large, there is a swimming pool inside, a variety of fruit trees such as mangoes, guavas, and other flowers and plants, the internal environment is more beautiful. The owner and workers of the homestay are very friendly. The room is quite large, but the facilities are relatively simple, there is a general cooling effect of air conditioning, the room and supplies feel basically clean and hygienic, the bed is large and comfortable, bath towels are provided, no quilt or quilt is a thin sheet (This is the least used thing in Sri Lanka), also do not provide toothbrush, toothpaste, comb slippers and other supplies. Breakfast is custom-made, belonging to the British bar, there are omelets, bread, fruit, milk tea, etc. Due to the remote location, I ordered dinner at the hotel on the night of the stay. Fried rice and fried noodles (Sri Lankan noodles seem to be rice noodles) tasted good. The walls of the dining room are decorated with various texts, including Chinese. Overall, the location of this homestay is a bit biased, no car is not convenient to travel, other than the service, environment, etc. are actually good, very close to nature.

The forest cabin is awesome, a completely different experience, a bit similar to the lame building, one person lives on two floors, don't be too cool, the night pillow wind and rain listen to the insects and birds sing, comfortable 10086++ hotel side worried that I would be afraid, repeatedly confirmed whether to change the room, the service is very considerate! In the evening, I also participated in the night visit to the jungle to explore Loris. It was fun and exciting. It was so interesting!

The hotel is near Lion Rock, very natural and shady. The staff are attentive. Upon arrival, we were offered a welcome drink of organic mango and papaya juice grown on-site. The room was smaller than expected. The amenities were basic; there was no refrigerator or television, making the price feel higher than it should have been. The room was not soundproof, and there were ants, dust, and mosquitoes. If you don't mind these things, you might want to consider other hotels.

The staff were superb! They couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one. The room was clean with plenty of space. Air conditioned and comfortable beds. Breakfast was really good: fruit, roti, coconut pancakes, eggs how you want them, fruit juice, other bits too. Our table was hardly big enough to hold it all. An excellent location to visit Lion Rock and several restaurants and bars within walking distance serving local and western options.
