PROS: Location was perfect. The hotel was very clean. I cannot stress how absolutely wonderful the location was, with the river right outside the windows and a few really nice bar/grill type places right next door or within walking distance. Breakfast staff were attentive and kept everything clean. Night front desk staff were really kind. CONS: The room smelled very moist and we were worried about mold lurking. WIFI DID NOT WORK no matter what we tried. Even when we finally logged in, it was too slow to do anything so working online was a no go. TV also did not work, wouldn’t even power on. Some of the breakfast items had run out just an hour after breakfast started. What they had was sparse, one of the more meager hotel breakfasts I’ve had (and I’m usually fine with budget hotels’ breakfasts). Day shift older gentleman was unwelcoming and stingy. Altogether, it was comfortable enough and we’d stay there again if needed. But we’d probably try to find another option before coming back.

Stayed for a week visiting family. Pretty average hotel, basically just needed it for sleeping. We were able to plug in our Nintendo Switch and play with the kids which some hotel tvs don’t allow so that was nice. Only real complaint was the coffee tasted stale and they were out of cups and creamer most of the time. But overall it was a good deal and rooms were clean.

Welcome!Lakeside Cottage is a new (2021) architect-designed 2800 sq.ft. 5-bedroom, 3.5 bath pet-friendly home on the south shore of Lake Erie. It is located 15 minutes from Cedar Point and 10 minutes from the Cedar Point Sports Center and is less than 5 minutes off of State Route 2. The features of the house are unmatched, including its location on the water’s edge and a second-floor deck with panoramic views across the water. The open floor plan offers views of the lake from the back of the house to the front. The kitchen, dining room, pool table area, bar, breakfast alcove and living room all flow together and participate in the dramatic lake view. A second level gallery space with central stairway leads to bedrooms, laundry room and deck. Sleeping quarters include one bedroom on the first floor and four more bedrooms on the second floor. There is also a business center, with desk, HP printer, paper and large monitor that can be connected to your laptop. (an HDMI cable comes out of the screen with a converter to mini display port cable added to that.)The house is decorated throughout with nautical flags, celebrating the language of the sea and the close connection of the cottage to the water.
