We booked a last minute deal to the Electra Palace hotel and are so glad we did. It was our first time in Rhodes and first up, the quick ten minute transfer to the hotel was bliss (i'd definitely recommend booking a taxi from the airport). The hotel itself is lovely, we arrived late at night and were put up in a room in the annex overlooking the garden. The room was lovely but we'd booked a pool view room, We were moved the next day without any problems. We loved that there was so much variety at the hotel and so many areas to spend the day within the hotel, eg loved the bali double beds on the decking at the pool, the loungers on the beach etc and it all added to the experience. Likewise the options in dining and bars, the buffet restaurant, Greek restaurant, Italian restaurant were all great and we loved the wine bar too. I think the hotel is definitely more geared to adults and whilst there were children there, I think if my teenagers were there I'd have struggled to entertain them for the week. We found it was a chilled experience which is exactly what we wanted. Being so close to Rhodes town, the hotel provides a fantastic taxi service which is reasonably priced and very frequent both day and night. It was lovely to get out and about but handy all the same which was great. My only minor gripe would be I think the entertainment options could be improved upon, especially at night but apart from that we'd definitely return and all being well will hopefully do so in the not too distant future

One of the best holiday hotels we have stayed in. It is spread across a wide area and boasts several linked pools and a large garden. The hotel is tastefully designed with a large reception and seating area. The food was exceptional and in addition to the main restaurant there are an additional two, Italian and Greek which are al a carte. In addition to the pool and beach bars there are two bars in the hotel with a wide range of drinks. The staff were excellent and the hotel, rooms and outside were well maintained. There are several areas in front of the beach with loungers as well as the beach itself which has pebbles rather than shingle and bathing shoes, available in the hotel shop, are recommended. It is also on the flight path into the airport but we didn't find that an inconvenience. Rhodes Town is a 15/20 minute drive in the shuttle bus which runs at regular intervals throughout the day and comes at a reasonable price. The hotel is set up as a relaxing experience rather than a party hotspot and I highly recommend it.
