Gourmet bar in Greenwich recently had a refit, great for drinks and food. Service was brilliant. Jeaney really looked after us. Nothing was too much for him. We had a brilliant time. We will definitely be coming back. We are local to Greenwich and it’s good finally a bar has opened up to compete with the local pubs.

We stayed for one night prior to taking our little girl to the Jurassic World exhibition down the road. Room - Good, beds comfortable, view of a building site which didn’t bother us but maybe worth requesting a room at the front of the hotel if that’s something you’re bothered by. Shower was ok but not very powerful. Food - Breakfast was okay. Mix of continental and full English. Room service wasn’t available during our stay which was a shame, but we were told at check in that if we came down to the restaurant to order they would be able to prepare it in such a way that we could take it back to our room. There’s also a small Tesco on one side of the hotel and a Nisa on the other if you just want snacks etc. Facilities - good. We used the pool during our stay which brings me onto my next point. Staff - Excellent. I’d read some reviews that aren’t particularly complimentary of the staff but we couldn’t fault them from check in to check out. Our daughter was sick in the pool which meant they had to close it down and they couldn’t have been nicer about it (we were mortified! Sorry again!) they also gave my daughter a little activity pack on our way through reception to breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the Excel, which is just a few minutes walk away.

I booked a stay to celebrate my birthday with my partner. I was really happy with everything. Lovely service, King size double room with gorgeous view, good spa facilities and a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

Today was the last chance for me. I booked the hotel through IHG. I was subsequently charged double what was offered on the telephone a call which will have been recorded so evidence is there. Despite multiple calls to IHG and a case being raised no one has contacted me in weeks. (I write this review almost 2 months after my stay). I was told by IHG to contact the hotel. The operations manager replied to my email basically saying it’s not us it’s them. I tried again to contact them but still no one has contacted me after multiple attempts to resolve on the phone. Today I called the hotel again. I was put through to the general manager who answered and then the phone went dead. I called back to be told the general manager is in a meeting and would call back. 4 hours later I called back apparently the general manager is no longer in today. This is the poorest customer service I have ever received from IHG and doesn’t reflect well on my previous years of being a member. I will not respond to some half effort of a reply on here saying we’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations, please contact me to resolve. My surname is waddingham and I stayed with you on the 29/7/22 for 2 nights. I’ve no idea if it’s the hotels fault or the IHG customer help line but either way someone from the company should be trying to resolve this instead of me chasing my tail!
