overall, this guesthouse is great. we enjoy our stay here and we definitely love furano. location is just 2 step away from kitanomine gondola station, save us a lot of energy to carry ski gear. lots of eatery nearby, and seven eleven convenient store is also within walking distance. Room is small but clean and comfortable, toilet are clean. staff are helpful and friendly.

The staff is kind and cleanly renovated, but the original design is an old pension, so the soundproofing is not good, there is a small number of free drinks for one hour at night, but there is also alcohol. There are 9 parking lots in 13 rooms (unspecified), so it seems to be a problem to stop when you arrive late or go out and return.

The room was large and spacious, and it was very comfortable to sleep. The facilities are average but clean, and you can do it for one night. In addition to shower gel shampoo, toiletries have to be prepared by yourself. A bit similar to a university dormitory ～

The hotel is a bit remote, located on a mountain, so it's more convenient if you're driving. I booked two nights, but for some reason, the reservation stated we had to switch rooms halfway through our stay. I asked the front desk if they could arrange for us to stay in the same room type so we wouldn't have to move, but the hotel refused.
The room type was good and quite spacious, with a lovely view of the lavender garden. During our stay, the hotel announced that the restaurant would be closed for dinner in the evenings, so we had no choice but to eat out. Fortunately, the hotel's breakfast was superb, with a wide variety of choices – definitely a plus!From€84

This hotel is super close to JR Station, and the breakfast is fantastic with a seafood rice bowl and unlimited melon – which would cost 500 yen for just an eighth of a piece in Japan! The hot spring is also excellent, offering a magnificent mountain view while you soak. The room is a bit small, but that's pretty standard for Japanese hotels. I took the ”Furano Biei Romantic Flower Tour” sightseeing bus at 8 AM, enjoyed the journey, and arrived at the last stop, the Shin Furano Prince Hotel's Ningle Terrace, around 4 PM. I got off there and checked directly into the Prince Hotel. This was a pre-planned arrangement based on my detailed research, saving me money, time, and hassle. After checking in, I booked the 8 PM buffet and then headed to the famous Garden of Wind. The scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful, and I even saw two deer. However, the Garden of Wind was a bit far from the hotel; it took me about an hour to walk there and back. By the time I got there, it was already closed, so I could only walk around the outside of the wire fence (which seemed to be electrified) to admire the small Garden of Wind. Then I returned to Ningle Terrace to continue my interrupted exploration. Since it was still early, I sat down for a coffee at the ”Mori no Tokei” (Forest Clock) cafe before leisurely heading back to the hotel. The evening buffet was incredibly rich, featuring hand-rolled sushi and king crab legs. I ordered a carafe of sake and slowly savored my dinner. After dinner, I went to Shisai-no-Yu to enjoy the hot spring. The next morning, I had planned to take the nearby cable car up the mountain for sightseeing, but there was fog on the mountain, and I knew I wouldn't see anything, so I gave up. Instead, I returned to the hotel and enjoyed another hot spring. After checking out, I took the Asahikawa Line bus to Furano Station to continue my journey. If the timing is right, taking this Asahikawa Line bus is very convenient as it can take you to Furano, or Nakafurano, Kamifurano, Biei, and finally to Asahikawa. However, the buses are infrequent, with only about one every hour. You'll need to check their timetable. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and the fare from the hotel to Furano Station is 260 yen.From€73

The only downside is that the parking lot is a bit far, so I recommend dropping off your luggage first before parking, as dragging it through the snow in winter can be a hassle. Stayed two nights at this hostel. The room was clean and quite spacious. We were a little surprised that we had to put on the bed sheet liners ourselves, but we understood that it is part of the hostel’s culture and regulations, so it was fine for us.
The shared toilets were clean and well maintained for all guests. However, the main disappointment was that the hostel’s air conditioning was not working properly on the second night, unlike the first night. The room became very humid and stuffy, making it difficult for us to fall asleep even after informing the hostel reception.From€27

I had a wonderful stay at Chalet Burlap Furano (yes, this is their official name on Google map) and enjoyed their hospitality! The host is very friendly and kindly recommended what to do and visit in Furano. I had a great experience exploring Furano with Motorbike, recommended by my host Kuen! It is warm and cozy hostel and also got music shows after 9pm.

This hotel use the self check in system. However they don't remind guest about the check out time so I am never informed about the check out time. Finally the last day, the receptionist just came to my door at 10:00 and told me I need to pay. I was shocked and asked politely about not charging extra money and got out the room at 10:20. They finally still needed to charge me 2000 Yan. I requested to have the price list and all policies about the check in and check out.
THE MAN RECEPTIONIST CAME INTO MY ROOM AND SHOWED ME THE BOOKLET. ONLY ME AND HIM IN THE ROOM, THEN HE SHOUTED AT ME IN JAPANESE RUDELY !!!!
I have the right to understand all the pricing and information although I have time exceed, I can pay however I don't deserve the bad attitude of their hotel service. It is the WORST STAY EVER in my life.

1. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Kitanomine ski resort, just across the street. Ski rentals are available directly at the hotel, and there's a very enthusiastic young man from Taiwan who works there. The prices are also the cheapest, highly recommended.
2. Transportation: There's a direct bus from New Chitose Airport that stops right at the hotel entrance, making it a seamless journey. The bus stop for Biei and Asahikawa is directly opposite the hotel's main entrance, with a direct Lavender Bus service that accommodates luggage.
3. Dining: We booked breakfast and dinner. Breakfast has a 1-hour limit, and dinner has a 90-minute limit. Both breakfast and dinner were very rich and plentiful. Dinner even included BBQ, though the dishes didn't change daily. Beer and sake were all-you-can-drink.
4. Entertainment: The hotel offers free 24-hour beverage machines. There are also scheduled times daily for roasted marshmallows, baked potatoes, cookies, and beer time, which the kids really enjoyed. There's also a children's play area.
5. Room: We had a triple room. The room wasn't very big and was a bit dated, but the heating was excellent.
6. Onsen (Hot Spring): There are two pools, one at room temperature and one at 40 degrees Celsius. It was quiet and not crowded.From€73

This was my second stay at Edel Warme, my previous one being in 2024. Both times were excellent. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable (my husband and I each had a bed, leaving the other two beds for clothes and luggage). What I particularly love is the hotel lobby's decor and setup. Every day after skiing, I'd sit by the fireplace in the Lobby Lounge, enjoying a coffee and relaxing. This visit brought back those wonderful memories from two years ago. Although, the lobby decor has changed; it's now more youthful and vibrant, moving away from its previous elegant and understated style. The breakfast has also seen quite a few changes. There are fewer options than before, but the food is much more refined and unique, tasting delicious. They also offer many local Furano specialties, including sauces and jams, which was very satisfying.
This time I only stayed for two nights. The staff informed me that they wouldn't clean the room (which I agreed with). If I wanted to use the onsen, I needed to bring towels from my room, and fresh towels for the second day would be left outside the door. However, after skiing on the second day, I found no towels outside my door. Luckily, I had brought my towel back to the room after my first onsen visit, as there was no designated spot to collect towels in the onsen area.
Despite this, I still really love Edel Warme, so I'm giving it a perfect score.From€63

This air bnb-style apartment is simple and clean. Although the place is small, it is comfortable and cheaper than the new apartment hotel nearby. The location is actually quite good. Open the door and you will find the ski trail, which is very suitable for friends who love skiing. When we came to Furano in summer, we did not ski or take a car, but there is a bus stop outside the accommodation, from which we can take a bus to Nakafurano and Upper Furano to see lavender, which is very convenient. We go out by bus at 10:49 every day, and return to the hotel at 20:06 in the evening. You can buy wagyu, bread, etc. in the supermarket near the scenic spot and cook for yourself in the apartment, which is very convenient!From€171

First, Trip.com needs an update. This hotel doesn't have bathtubs in all rooms, even though the website says they do. However, I wasn't planning on checking out when I arrived, so I stayed and ended up using the large baths both nights.
This is a very old-fashioned inn, so the price is quite reasonable. It's just a little dated. I saw a lot of Japanese people staying there, and it's actually quite down-to-earth. 😂
I highly recommend it for those traveling by car. There aren't many accommodation options in Furano, and there aren't many shopping malls or convenience stores nearby. It's recommended to buy something and then take it home.From€94

We were here scouting a bit for the coming winter and really liked the location very close to the slopes and also a few restaurants a short walk away. Downside perhaps that no Lawson or similar in the immediate surroundings but maybe there was some other minimart around the lift station. Just spent a night here so not much time to drift around the area.
Easy parking in front, fast check in and a kind offering to help haul the suitcases upstairs. Hotel is in super good shape, felt almost brand new. Nice public area with couches and a fireplace. Room was good size and comfortable for 3 but especially for a ski resort it really lacked storage for clothes. Could easily have fit something under the bunk bed. Also in the bath theres no place to hang towels or clothes, just a really tiny foldable drying rack. Room fridge was not cooling either and pretty small.
Breakfast was set menu and nice for this stay but for winter I would rather have a buffet to load up for a day on the mountain. Might be though they change for winter and i realize that buffet may not be a sustainable option for low season and few guests.
All in all it was a good stay and we will definitely keep this in mind for the next visit to Furano 👍🏼From€60
