Just returned from a week and a 1/2 stay at the Sonesta ES Fort Lauderdale, FL - Plantation - it was great. 1st - we got in screaming early and the front desk associate Kisha (!) found us a clean room (hotel was fully booked) and let us check in. She gave us lots of excellent recommendations for things to do, places to eat, events that will be taking place...whew! Awesome. 2nd - Our suite was great, clean, well-appointed and well situated. Because of covid, housekeeping doesn't come every day, but this wasn't an issue, you could get fresh towels, additional pillows and toilet paper from the front desk (easy-peasy). 3rd - FREE ample parking!! 4th - huge Publix grocery store across the street. Wow, this really helped us to save and 5th - great full-sized kitchen (there is also a gym/fitness center) and free washer/dryers. 6th - Free Breakfast - ok, because of covid, it is a take-away in a bag, but, umm - there are good selections to get you started on your day (biscuit with sausage/egg/cheese, cereals, coffee, tea, toast, bagels, boiled eggs, yogurt, muffins, juice) 7th - close to almost all of the great things that Ft. Lauderdale has to offer - and the Sawgrass Mills Outlet and about a 1/2 hour away from many other great places to see, do and eat. The staff is great, so friendly and helpful. I will DEFINITELY be back.

I am making a complaint regarding my recent stay from Mar 07, 2022 - March 10, 2022. We always stay at Sonesta Plantation simply because of its location, amenities etc. especially since a special diet for my mom and we therefore have to cook her meals and at nights she have to make her tea etc. We checked into room 142 on Mar 07th but to our amazement the stove was not working and the microwave took extremely long to heat up items. I reported this immediately and the Assist general manager Stephen decided to comp that night and promised to have it looked into the following day. The following day the situation was still unresolved and I asked if we could be moved to another room on lower floor but they said none was available but we were still charged full price for a room that inconvenienced us. On Mar 08th, while we were parked on the property and taking our stuff out of our vehicle, we were attacked by a guest dog that got out of the room without the knowledge of its owner. One of the ladies was a heart patient at Cleveland Clinic and had just came from her appointment. She had to go back to the ER for further observation.. Thank Godness we did not got bitten but the fear of it had us shaken up. Another guest and his daughter came to our rescue and chased the dog away. I explained this to Stephen again, he went down the corridor and came back say he didnt see a dog. I told him it happened outside, he said they don't have any cameras outside the property and it s at your own risk.. This was sad but true. Again he did nothing. Not even an apology was offered! We extended the stay on the 3rd day and again nothing had changed and Stephen the asst General Manager seemed so nonchalant so I asked to speak with the General Manager who I could not speak with because he was never available. However, Stephen did mention that the GM was aware of all of the comlaints but he never even attemped to reach out to us or myself while at the property. While checking out on March 10th I again attempted to speak with the General Manager but he was still unavailable so I just left.
