We moved to this hotel, having been at another one, so we were delighted when we were greeted with a lovely reception and a drink. The weather was awful when we were here but still had a lovely time. I imagine in the summer when it's hot, its amazing! The Room: AMAZING. So spacious and bright. Had an outside terrace with loungers and was close to everything in block 2. Had robes and slippers. Big towels (which I love) and nice showering products. The cleaning was exceptional. My partner loved the Nespresso coffee machine in the room and always topped up on water. Only criticism from me is I felt the bed was a bit firm (but personal preference). The Hotel: The grounds are lovely, really well maintained and just a really nice resort. SPA was amazing; spent many hours here (due to the poor weather) and felt very grateful to have this space. I imagine it could get busy in peak season and not huge. Staff in the Spa were also lovely. Easy to walk to the beach over the bridge or down to the roundabout. Pools were lovely and well-maintained. Plenty of sunbeds around and sunbed service with drinks. Food/Drinks: As a picky eater with lactose intolerance, I found plenty to eat. It was hot and had lots of variety. Though it was good quality compared to all other all-inclusives. Ice cream was delicious. The drinks were great, lots of branded alcohol and white wine was good, given it was an all-inclusive. There are 3 a-la cartes, we ate at one of them and the pizza was amazing! Throughly enjoyed a more restauranty feel. Snack bar is basically a restaurant, never had such a fancy snack bar! Staff: All absolutely lovely and very attentive. Didn't really ever lift a finger. Entertainment: This was okay; I feel like it is probably much better in peak season. For example said there was live music, but it was instrumental and just a bit boring. It kind of felt like background music as opposed to the entertainment for the evening. To improve: - We had to check out at 12pm but we weren't being picked up for our transfer until 4:30 pm with our TUI package and we were told we couldn't eat, drink or use any facilities. I personally think this is really poor given we couldn't check-in on the first day. - The weather was not their fault obviously; but it would have been nice if they had tried to organise more indoor activities to get involved in as there is very little to do otherwise.

Lovely hotel with very attentive service and food & drink which is a class above most other all inclusive hotels. We stayed for 4 nights early April and whilst the weather wasn’t the best the quality of the hotel more than made up for it. There’s really not much to fault here but if I were to be very picky I would say the service on the bars and reception could be a little quicker and the replenishment of the food in the buffet restaurant was also a little slow. Particular highlights for us were the al la carte restaurants the beautiful grounds and swimming pools and the quality of the rooms. Thanks Tivoli Alvor, we would love the chance to stay with you again for longer next time and perhaps with better weather.
