We came down for a funereal, abit upset as we was unable to book into room early even though we even said about paying extra to get into our room early. The room was clean and tidy, apart from 1 public hair in the bathroom, which can’t be helped. Comes to trying to sleep and then the problems started, it sounded like there was a helicopter under neath us, it was so loud, we don’t sleep with the tv but we had the tv so loud and you could still hear it, I went down and complained they turned the air con off was no help what so ever. Then an actually helicopter came out aswell so we had the noise ontop of us and below us for half an hour, I know the real helicopter has nothing to do with travel lodge, it finally stopped at 3am and started again at 5am, so we managed to get 2 hours sleep. I was ready to get the pillow and the blanket and go and sleep in the car. The bed was also like sleeping on a rock. I couldn’t be any happier being back home with the worst night sleep of my life!! Was horrendous! Complaining didn’t get anything sorted, I can’t believe we had to pay for this room, was a joke; even laying there at one point staring at the ceiling saying I’m going to try and get a few hours in the car. If I was in my car I would of ended up in the car, but unlucky we wasn’t and was in my partners which is a lot smaller car then mine. Dont think i will ever book a travel lodge again!!

Hotel is OK, very basic but everything worked as it should and it was relatively clean. Bath is a bit slippy but there are grab rails which were helpful. Bed was very comfy, I slept like a baby. TV could do with the channels being updated/reinstalled as many were missing. Plenty of choice for breakfast continental & cooked but sausages (meat & veggie) could be better. The staff were amazing, very helpful & kind, never had to look or wait for staff when I needed them. Would stay here again.
