Hygiene: The new room and king-size bed were indeed very comfortable, and I slept very well for all three nights.
Location: It's right next to Chinatown, and light rail/subway access is just outside, which is perfect for visiting Sydney.
Service: The amenities were pitifully sparse. For three nights, only the towels were changed, and the room wasn't fully cleaned. This is unacceptable for the price.
Breakfast: It wasn't a buffet, just a set meal, so the value for money was poor. The taste was also terrible; I had to send one of the dishes back to the kitchen.

Right at the entrance of Chinatown, this hotel offers a surprisingly quiet escape in the bustling city. It's rare to find a hotel in the city center with convenient parking right outside. Getting to the Sydney Opera House area is super easy by light rail. Sydney rooms are smaller than Melbourne's, probably due to the premium on space here.

Managed to get 2 connecting rooms which made it very convenient to move around. Spacious and clean. The location is excellent, just a shirt walk to Central Station or the tram. Even by foot, you can easily reach Hay market and Chinatown. If at Haymarket, check out the fish and chips stall and the butcher stall opposite it. Very good food at reasonable prices. If don't want to walk that far, just along the stretch beside the hotel, there are many restaurants that open till late, so food is literally a stone throw away. Receptionists friendliness vary. The 2 chaps from Fiji, Jason & Sidibeni were very friendly, the others not so much. If looking for a safe, convenient place,, this is a good find. Recommended!

Location is just opposite Central station. Chinatown is nearby, supermarket is walking distance too, very convenience. room is big and new. Coffee tea is provided in room. However, no toothbrush set provided. Wifi is good. Staff is friendly. Check in time is 3pm and check out is 10am. If room available, check in can be earlier. You can store luggage for free after check out.

Facilities: The hotel's facilities are pretty standard, the furniture is old, and there's nothing particularly special about it. The lobby environment, in particular, is quite ordinary and small.
Hygiene: Overall, the room's cleanliness was very good, but the sofa was dirty with many stains.
Service: The front desk staff were unenthusiastic, especially one male wearing glasses. He spoke English very quickly, which made communication difficult for those not fluent in English, wasting a lot of time during check-in.
Environment: The hotel generally lacks distinct features. They promote an eco-friendly concept, but a smoke alarm will trigger if you don't close the bathroom door tightly while showering. This wasn't communicated to us, which gave us a fright. We only later found a warning on the bathroom glass, which isn't ideal, especially for non-English speakers who wouldn't notice it at all.

The hotel's location is fantastic, especially for Chinese guests! It's right next to Chinatown, which was perfect for satisfying our Chinese cravings. The room was clean and tidy. On the first day, we had an issue with our room and emailed them about it. The next day, they immediately upgraded us to a different room type, and it made a huge difference. Odd-numbered rooms overlook Darling Harbour, so we could watch the Saturday fireworks directly from our room. Very satisfied!

I went on vacation with my family, chose a family room, in the master bedroom there was a big air conditioner in the room, it was very noisy, I could not sleep at all, if I did not turn on the air conditioner, the air in the room would not circulate, and it was very hot, I felt very guilty.

Overall, it is worth it for its location and price within Sydney CBD. You can have a room of decent size without burning a hole in your pocket. While it is not a fancy hotel and has been refurbished, you can still see some dents and marks on the walls. However, it is clean and comfortable.
One thing to note: the hotel informed me that the reception would open at 7 AM. When I arrived, there was no one to be seen, and I didn’t have a data SIM that could make local calls. Eventually, I asked a friendly local to borrow their phone to make the calls. It was a bit inconvenient.

Great location in Sydney's China town (Light Rail stop right at door), with great access many food options and darling harbor within walking distance. The room was clean, bright and comfortable but the toilet orientation was tight for our room (little/no knee space) but we managed. The self service laundry (2 commercial washing machines and dryers) was sufficient - $5 a token for either one load of wash or drying was okay. Would recommend it!
- Guest User
It's about a 15-minute walk from the central train station, and the route is quite easy to navigate. The room has a kitchen, but you need to call to have the cooking utensils delivered. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, including a Chao Fa Chaoshan hotpot restaurant downstairs.

Excellent location in Sydney at an affordable time. Our room was quite dated, particularly the bathroom that gave out hostel vibes divided in the middle by a partition between shower and toilet. Bed was comfortable and check in/out was easy.

Very old style building and modified interiors to make the max out of space. While the location was excellent the place had bare minimum space to move around and felt claustrophobic. Stayed one night only so perfect for work trips and going hotel to sleep only.

The hotel's location is excellent. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk, you can reach Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Square, Darling Harbour, and Central Station. The room size was adequate, and it was clean and tidy upon arrival, with daily housekeeping being prompt and thorough. The front desk service was also on point.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks:
1. The lighting in the lobby area isn't great; it's generally too dim and looks like it needs a refurbishment. Hopefully, they'll update it soon.
2. We believe our room was in the newer extension of the hotel. There's a noticeable difference in floor levels between the two buildings, and the connection between them is entirely stairs, which is really inconvenient when you have luggage. This also needs an update.
3. The flooring under the carpet in our room was bulging in places and requires maintenance.FromRUB 14,753

This was my first time staying in a hostel alone, and YHA Sydney Central was amazing. Amir in particular was a super helpful staff who went above and beyond to help. I appreciated the free guided walk they organised from Cogee to Bondi Beach, it enabled me to meet fellow travellers. The toilets and dorm room were clean, and I particularly appreciated the privacy curtains around each bed, reading light and individual charging points above each bed.FromRUB 3,221

This hotel is right next to Sydney Central Station. They mentioned that the building itself is quite old, about a hundred years, and was later converted into a hostel. Given Sydney's sky-high prices, paying over 700 for a single room without a private bathroom is tough. The layout inside is also quite complex; getting from my room to the communal restroom felt like a good hundred-meter walk, which was really inconvenient for night trips. The hostel has a large common area, with the entire second floor dedicated to dining and a communal kitchen, complete with utensils and cooking equipment. There's also a paid laundry area and a conversation space. The hotel's own介绍 [description/brochure] said there were many free tours and activities available, but I didn't join due to the language barrier. The room card was designed with a lanyard, presumably to prevent it from getting lost.FromRUB 2,738

This is a great place to stay for a few days. The staff is friendly. The location is right in the center, allowing you to reach most places with a short walk or train ride. Remember to bring your own towels. There's no need for a padlock as your key card will open your locker, which is spacious enough to hold your carry-on luggage. The capsules are large enough for a comfortable sleep, though you might want to bring a blanket or some type of cover as the AC keeps the room cool. The capsule has an electrical outlet to recharge your devices. There is a place to sit and watch movies on the 4th floor and also make a meal. Note that the desk has limited hours, so make sure to keep your key card with you to avoid getting locked out. ThanksFromRUB 2,485

Checking in out staff are relaxed & very helpful. Basement laundry area was lacking in ventilation, consequently rather smelly as you exited elevator to head to kitchen. Self serve cereals & bread for toasting at breakfast with typical Australian spreads was as good as expected - better than some budget hotels.
I Twin bunk bed had linen that was too narrow & the quilt/doona barely covered the double bed sized mattress.FromRUB 2,147
