I stayed one night at Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney and had a really nice experience overall. We are lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade, and the room is super spacious and comfortable. There is a small living area which made it really nice to sit down and have some food in the room. The TV is huge (honestly loved that), and everything felt very well-designed and aesthetic. The bathroom is clean, modern, with a separate shower area and good water pressure. Everything feel very neat and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only slightly odd thing was that there seems to be a motion sensor system, when we fell asleep for a while, the power (including the air conditioning) suddenly turn off, but it switch back on once we moved. Not a big issue for us tho, just something we noticed. Overall, a very clean, stylish, and comfortable stay.

The hotel's location is fantastic, especially for Chinese guests! It's right next to Chinatown, which was perfect for satisfying our Chinese cravings. The room was clean and tidy. On the first day, we had an issue with our room and emailed them about it. The next day, they immediately upgraded us to a different room type, and it made a huge difference. Odd-numbered rooms overlook Darling Harbour, so we could watch the Saturday fireworks directly from our room. Very satisfied!

Great location in Sydney's China town (Light Rail stop right at door), with great access many food options and darling harbor within walking distance. The room was clean, bright and comfortable but the toilet orientation was tight for our room (little/no knee space) but we managed. The self service laundry (2 commercial washing machines and dryers) was sufficient - $5 a token for either one load of wash or drying was okay. Would recommend it!

The location is great, but the building is quite old, so you can definitely feel its age. It seems like maintenance needs more attention. The shower head and the toilet flush button had minor issues, but they weren’t too inconvenient. I informed reception after checking out.

Overall, it is worth it for its location and price within Sydney CBD. You can have a room of decent size without burning a hole in your pocket. While it is not a fancy hotel and has been refurbished, you can still see some dents and marks on the walls. However, it is clean and comfortable. One thing to note: the hotel informed me that the reception would open at 7 AM. When I arrived, there was no one to be seen, and I didn’t have a data SIM that could make local calls. Eventually, I asked a friendly local to borrow their phone to make the calls. It was a bit inconvenient.

The room was super comfortable, and the location is great – right between Sydney University and Circular Quay. It's really easy to get around by public transport. You can also walk to Darling Harbour, the Fish Market, Hyde Park, or the Royal Botanic Garden. The hotel breakfast was good too, definitely recommend it.

The room was quite spacious and clean. However, for some reason, the bed was very narrow and too soft. Upon check-in, they pre-authorized a deposit of over $200 on my card and recorded my credit card information. The refund process is slow, and I still haven't received my deposit back.
