I wouldn’t think anything would go wrong as with one-night stays at a lot of the hotels I’ve stayed at. I love the unique the hotel exudes, very much accentuated with the internal steps, turns and multiple corridors. It can be rather challenging if you have heavy luggage, especially when it’s more than a piece. Thumbs up for Jamie (the receptionist on shift) as he has been of great help. I’d give the full English breakfast a miss if I’d stay for more than a day as it’s virtually drenched in oil. There’s a pressure pump in the bathroom which sounds every 20 minutes and that made it difficult to sleep as I’m a light sleeper. The room which I have been assigned heats up when the sun hits the west facade of the hotel and it’s very uncomfortable if one doesn’t leave the room. All in all a pleasant stay and I hope my feedback will provide some impetus for improvement.

Fieldways has real character and has all the adequate needs you need. The rooms and bedrooms are comfortable with all the required amenities. It's nice to have a fresh breakfast cooked to order even if you have let them know the day before. It's sad to see areas closed as with a little TLC Fieldways has real potential.
