The front desk service was awful. When we arrived, we arrived early and after traveling we needed to use the restroom. Knowing we couldn't check in because we were early, we were told there were no public bathrooms. Having been a guest there in the past, I knew that was a lie. The manager REFUSED to allow us to use the facilities in the bar area. My brother became ill and needed to go to the hospital. The night clerk told us they had no idea where the nearest hospital was. When the clerk was asked to call 911, they refused. When I spoke to the manager the day after our trip, I was told they will use that as training for the desk clerks and refused to do anything more. During my visit I had inquired about past employees as they were awesome. I was told some were let go and others left. They screwed up there. Those employees were much better that the current staff. I will probably look for a new hotel next time in Milwaukee. The manager has stated we tried to check in 5 hours early and that is not true. We knew we couldn't check in at 10am, we just needed to use the restroom facilities. Not once has the manager commented regarding to the refusal of calling 911 for a medical emergency. What a sad staff. He has to train his people how to dial 911. Amazing.

The walk to American Family Park to watch the Brewers was only 15 minutes along a sidewalk. Very easy to navigate and others will be on the path too so safe. The hotel had large comfortable rooms, with a bonus separate sitting area with another tv. The microwave and fridge were new and spotless. Great hotel experience with check-in and check-out too--very friendly.

Pros: This is a great hotel for visiting the Wisconsin State Fair. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the entrance. And meant we could maximise our visit, even taking the kids back for a post lunchtime swim to avoid the midday heat, before going back again for evening. The room was nice enough and there’s a small indoor pool that’s good for kids. Disappointing was that covid seems to mean that rooms are not cleaned daily and breakfast, while reasonably good food, is served on styrofoam plates, with plastic cutlery and paper coffee cups. The waste from this breakfast restaurant alone has a huge impact, and disappointing from a Hilton hotel that’s there’s not a covid friendly, less environmental impact alternative. Would have thought that hot water dishwashers would work.

1. Breakfast: Canal street cafe in the lobby, completely Western-style! 2. Not suitable for bringing children (casino hotel); 3. The hotel location is not convenient and the surrounding environment is general; the hotel parking lot is large and hotel guests are free! Hotel room soundproof! 4, recommend friends who like ”small gambling”

Let me start that most of the bad reviews are out of this Hotels hands. They can’t help since Hosting the first Oscars that the neighbourhood has gone down hill or that the rooms do get old. The good is that the rooms are huge with great beds and pillows. This would have a 5 Star if they would just open the Classic Bar area to relax instead of eating at the McDonalds across the street! Finally, the shuttle service to the ballpark is great thanks to Kennedy. He is professional, kind and takes everyone’s phone calls. I hope he got a raise recently! Shuttle is FREE so don’t forget to Tip Kennedy.

While we initially booked a hotel in downtown MKE, I'm really happy that we relocated to Tosa. We used it has home base as we explored the city doing many different things. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was nice having a kitchenette where we could store perishables and heat our food. I know we could ask the front desk for additional supplies, but it would be nice if they stored at least an additional roll of TP and kleenex in the room. The vent for the AC was pointed at the right side of the bed. It was too bad that it wasn't directed towards the middle of the room. Parking is free and I appreciated the large parking lot. We also took advantage of the side entrance (protected with key swipe entry). This avoided us going through the front lobby and walking clear across the property. If you want breakfast on the weekend, you have to preorder it by 10:00 p.m. the night before. Items like muffins, fruit, oatmeal packets and cereal bars are available.

As far as hotels go… a unique concept. Some positives, some negatives, of which one – hotel management’s inadequate response to a significant problem – caused me and my wife to checkout after two nights of what was supposed to be a four-night stay. Our room was a junior suite on the top floor and was good-sized and had nice furnishings. We thought the food and service in the restaurants and bar were good (thumbs-up to Kate), the valets and bell staff hustled, and there is interesting artwork on some of the floors. All good things. On the downside: A few days prior to check-in we received an email offering us an early check-in for an extra $25. Not needing early check-in, we arrived at the posted 3pm check-in time. Our room wasn’t ready for another 35-40 minutes. Certainly a mixed message. The front desk staff are definitely hit-or-miss in terms of friendliness. There was no fan in the bathroom to help manage steam from the shower. The bathroom window is opaque but has no shade. As a result, at night, light from the highway adjacent to the hotel comes into the bathroom and continues into the sleeping area through the opaque glass shower wall. While the glass shower wall is opaque, it makes the shower far from private. Not a problem for us, but others might disagree. Also, the freight trains that run on the double tracks immediately adjacent to the hotel are noisy. I don’t want to have to wear a mask and earplugs to get a good night’s sleep in what is supposed to be a luxury hotel. Why the horrible rating and not just a mediocre one? Shortly after 8:00pm on our second night we smelled smoke in our sixth-floor room. Because the smell grew worse, at 8:45 I called the front desk. The person I spoke with explained that on nights when there is no breeze, smoke from the restaurant's “hearth” will drift up the side of the building and into the room. They had a ready explanation. In other words, they knew the smoke could be a problem but have done nothing about it. At 10:30pm I called again and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Unfortunately, the only manager in the building works in food and beverage and isn't that well versed in other aspects of managing the hotel. Regardless, I asked her to come to the room so she could establish for herself that I wasn't exaggerating about the eye-stinging, headache-causing smoky air. She and the restaurant's banquet manager did come upstairs and did acknowledge that the smoke was a problem. For a number of reasons - some the hotel’s, some ours - changing rooms at that hour wasn't a viable option. We were assured by the manager we were speaking with that she would write a detailed email for the hotel manager coming in the next day and that that manager would call us “first the in the morning.” I’m writing this review four mornings later. We are still waiting for that call.

King bed room. The room is much smaller than the Hilton City Center in the next few days. The facilities in public places are also lower. Fortunately, there are some business trips.

Disappointing to say the least. The Sonesta website depicts this property as an upscale hotel boast ”all the amenities you could wish for in such a prime location” and ”our full-service restaurant and lounge will surely satisfy” (both are copied from their webpage on 3/28/22). The reality is: The rooms do not have a microwave of mini fridge. The Amorie (stand alone closet) is more suited for a motel-6. The on-site restaurant has been closed for several months and is not expected to open until May (??). The snacks that are offered at the ”pantry” are both minimal and overpriced. When asked about somewhere to eat - the ONLY place within walking distance was another hotel which was several hundred yards across two parking lots ( Do this at night with your wife when the wind chill is in the teens w/ a biting wind, light snow and sleet ). BTW - this is not available on Sundays. I understand Covid -19 has been tough on businesses, but at least update your website ! ! Two prominent signs state facemasks must be worn in all public places. However, no one at the registration desk (or any other staff) wore a mask. Far too many little things went horribly wrong during our stay. Several clerks at the registration desk were wonderful and did try to make up for the poor experience, but unfortunately were not able to do so.

Very old-fashioned hotel in the city center, parking is a little expensive, opposite the public parking lot, ask the waiter how much parking fees, actually do not know the answer, do not take the initiative to load and unload luggage, this is a bad review.
