Stayed for 3 nights 1-4th April . The staff here are amazing! On check in after a 6 hour car journey they couldn't have done more, restaurant staff excellent as ever. Children given chocolate on arrival and Easy check in. Ran manchester marathon on Sunday and the breakfast the next day was amazing. We will be back again and this isn't our first stay as I have family near by.

Initial impressions weren't great as in all fairness Blackburn isn't the prettiest of towns, but once I'd got parked I soon changed my mind. The receptionist was great and I was soon in my large, well-equipped bedroom. The room and the sumptuous bathroom were absolutely spotless, and I had a good night's sleep followed by a tasty breakfast.

Visited for one night on Monday 22/08 perfect welcome - everyone was friendly, attentive and very informative. Also the check out was just as perfect. Room was perfectly clean and very good value! I’d stay again in a heartbeat - the Team were really good ! It’s hard to get good staff but you’ve managed it - congratulations! See you in 4 weeks ! We've just refurned from 4 nights at The Avenue, what a brilliant place to stay. The suite gave us (and our preteen) plenty of space to relax AND get ready for a family wedding nearby. Food in the restaurant was delicious (we had pizzas & burgers one night, then breakfast, a roast and evening snacks on the Sunday) and very well priced. Although we faced onto a road, the fact that this is a gated community meant that it was peaceful and quiet, and for a Bank Holoday weekend we didn't have any disruptive noise from the bar (even better that the rooms are in a separate wing). We elected for the paid cooked breakfast on the Sunday which was lovely, and took up one of the Continental breakfasts included in the price - it was fairly basic but suited our needs. The other 2 mornings we popped to the Coffee Shop across the car park for a delicious well priced cooked option. Adequate parking, a night door (handy if you're staying whilst attending an event nearby). Beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed our daughter was sleeping on. Due to the Bank Holiday and the timings when we were using our room, we didn't see housekeeping but managed to get extra towels and other items as needed. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Absolutely would stay again if in the area and will recommend to others.

I like this hotel and have stayed here a few times. It is well located near Blackburn just off the M65 at junction 5. The on site pub is nice and there are also numerous places nearby where you can socialise and eat and drink. The room is of a high standard and modern, the bathroom is more than adequate for shaving or doing makeup properly. The room was warm and comfortable even though it was quite cold outside. Check-in is straight forward and handled in the adjoining pub. Once you have checked in your key card gives you access into the hotel accommodation. There is a night porter available when the pub is closed but you won't see staff in the hotel accomodation apart from housekeepers in the morning so it's useful if a little discretion is required.
