|7.45km from city centerBreakfast and dinner are both provided by the hotel. Dinner is served in a separate room, and breakfast is served in another public room. There is a unique menu for dinner, with staff introducing each dish. There happened to be a few people who knew Chinese when I checked in. The staff introduced it, the dishes were rich, and I was very satisfied. When you have a meal, the staff will go into the room and lay out tatami mattresses. There are no private hot spring baths, there are open-air public baths. There are only two independent indoor hot spring baths for the use of the entire hotel. There are two keys during the period. After the guests return the keys, they can then take them out and use the independent private baths. Fengli, unfortunately there is no reservation service, so I don’t know when other guests will return their keys.

The futon was clean, the color taste was fashionable, and the family rental bath with four was small, but it was very clean and the worry about the amenities was the best. |10.68km from city centerThe Western-style room had a good view with a golf course and a plateau overlooking the magnificent Mt. Aso Outer Ring. The room was comfortable with a sofa, chairs and tables and two semi-double beds. Actually, it was a large bath in a golf resort, so I didn't expect much bath. However, the hot springs were hanging from the source, and both the indoor bath and the four open-air baths (including the barrel bath 2) were all hanging from the source, and it was a good hot spring with a little brown hot spring. I checked out at 11 o'clock, but I was a little disappointed that the bath was until 9 am. The meal was a Japanese and Western appetizer, a cooking and a hot bowl at the restaurant. In the second half, the dinner was good with soft Kumamoto beef and seafood grilled on a ceramic plate, high-vegetable rice and miso soup, and delicious desserts. Also, the dining staff was kind and polite. Breakfast was a volume breakfast, probably because of a golf resort. After checking out, if you are trying to take a picture with Kumamon in the lobby, the staff will carry a large Kumamon to the outside by cart, saying that you should take a picture in a good place with a good view of Mt. Outer Ring in Aso. It was done. Thanks to you, I was able to take a nice family photo with Aso no Yama 々 and Kumamon. I was very happy with the kind consideration.

The room is very comfortable. The store provides extra breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a rich Chinese food. It is a rare worker to eat Chinese food. The staff are very enthusiastic and most of the staff can speak Chinese. If you want to ask in advance, you can call and contact the staff in advance to communicate with WeChat. |4.62km from city centerIf you are looking for a true Japanese Ryokan experience, this is the place to be. Everything in this ryokan is not done randomly, even the rooms! All rooms are named after a kind of flower and the owner planted the named flower outside of the room. Moreover if you off the lights at night, the landscape created outside will form a painting-like view when you see from the washi paper windows. The ingredients used during dinner and breakfast are all farm products by the owner itself. He even use his own rice (Koshihikari) and if you would like to support him, you can purchase it at the lobby. After breakfast, the owner prepare coffee at the lobby for the guests to chill. Onsen wise, there is a public onsen and also a private one which you can book for an hour. The onsen is smaller than normal ryokan but it is still enjoyable! The only problem I have during my stay was the smell of smoke as they use wooden fire which spread throughout the ryokan. There is no bathroom in all the guest rooms so you will need to use the public bath.The meals provided was scrumptious and we have trouble finishing it because it was just too much! We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely go back there if ever we are visiting Aso again!

|7.72km from city centerWe stayed for one night from July 9 (Sat) and stayed with a couple in the Japanese style room ”Nikwa” on the third floor. The purpose of this time was to touch the nature of ASO and to feel the liberation and to soak in a hot spring with good quality of springs. The room was more modern and sophisticated than I thought and more than expected. It was a room that was renewed last year. What I was worried about was that the closet was an old Japanese house, and it smelled mold without lighting, and the mattress on the bed was a little too hard, and the view was not good even on the third floor. The bath was a pure source hanging water, which did not heating, water or circulation, and the hot water temperature was just right, and it was a very good quality hot spring as rumored. However, the size is small and there is no open-air bath. I also used ”taruyu” in the rental bath, but it was well maintained and very comfortable. The meal was ”red beef steak seat”. There were many items and all were very delicious, but I thought that the red beef of the heart was a little fat and the mountain woman fish was quite small. The service was made to be a woman from Nepal, but there were several points that I was worried about, such as vertically distributing rectangular dishes of incense. I think this is a problem of staff training. Overall, it is a very old established inn with a very historical style, and it is well understood that it is carefully maintained, and it is thought that it is a hot spring inn with a taste. I felt that the charm of this inn was exhausted by the word ”good quality hot spring”.

After checking in, when I was about to head to my room, a female staff member ran up to me and guided me, saying, ”This is it.” Please get on the elevator,” and ran away. I get on the elevator on that street, but I can't find a room even if I look for it. When I went back to the first floor, I found the same female staff member again. And when it's time for dinner, I try to leave the room, but the door won't lock. Even though the door should be auto-locked, it opens when you push the door. Maybe it's badly built, the key doesn't go in and it doesn't lock. When I called the front desk, a female staff member came immediately, but she said, ”Please wait a moment,” and left without a word for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes had passed, a male staff member finally arrived, but he said, ”We can't move rooms because they are fully booked. We will call a contractor to fix it.” Do I have to?” When I asked, he said, ”Since there was a canceled room, please go to that room.” For dinner, I had the ”Akaushi course”, but there were also extremely few dishes. Red beef is a small amount of beef about 2 x 5 cm thick and 5 mm thick, about 3 small bowls, and a little horse sashimi and sashimi. This is the first time I've had such a small amount of food at a hot spring inn. It may be good for small eaters. Also, the foreign staff brought the chawanmushi, but for some reason it was placed on the table instead of on a plate with a spoon for chawanmushi. As for the private bath, when I went early in the morning, there was a used toothbrush and floss on the edge of the bath. It's gross even if it's not in the corona misfortune. At checkout, not a single word of apology was given. Is it because I changed rooms that the matter has already been resolved? The hotel is brand new and while our room was a great and functional design, the bed was the most comfortable western-style bed we’ve had in all of Japan! It’s location is super convenient if you arrive by train (it’s across the street) and while they don’t really have dining facilities, there is a fun outdoor market right outside where we grabbed dinner: meat skewers, mustard greens biscuit and a delicious craft beer (there is also ramen and a few other food choices).

The desk is small for room drinks and makeup. The seven spillows of the futon are pleasant but you will have different tastes. I want a hot spring because it is Aso, but I think that if there is at least a large communal bath, the evaluation will be raised. I feel that breakfast has fallen in quality compared to before. １ There is a free coffee machine in the lobby on the floor.

|7.06km from city centerEverything is awesome except for a little bit of position! We took the bus from Kumamoto and crossed the bus from Kyushu. We got off at the entrance of Yoshiji-mura and walked towards the signboard of the whole family. The location was next to the family. The pure Japanese experience is really good! Tatami, yukata, raft, stone bath... I don't know if it's because of the off-season, we almost have a hhh breakfast and it is quite rich, especially for people who like Japanese food (not Japanese). I will stay here when I come to Aso next time. By the way, I hope that Jr can quickly repair it. From the hotel to the jr station, it is still a bit painful hhhh.

|7.6km from city centerWe stayed in this hotel 6 nights. Our room was in 5th floor and we had super view of sleeping Buddha (Aso Volcanoes). We appreciate that room was much bigger than we are used to see in Japan! So it was very comfortable! There was everything what you need - fridge, fan, air conditioning, safe, humidifier, tv, sofa, and more. Everything was clean! You can use your own bathroom or go to the onsen which is in the hotel! The onsen is traditional and have indoor and outdoor areas! We like jpns Yukata :D sou you can wear it instead of your clothes! The staff was very helpful, kind and professional! But what was the best - was food! It was indescribably amazing! Awesome! So oishii! Everything what we ate was delicate! And very nice to look at! We enjoyed dinner and breakfast time so much! In front of the hotel is special foot onsen what is very nice when the weather is beautiful and sun is shining outside and what's more, you can drink this water cause it is healthy! So we hope to come again!

The hotel room is very comfortable, the room is large, the sound insulation is very good, there is no bathtub in the room, but the hotel provides four private baths, which can be used for couples or families to take a bath, and can accommodate up to four people, and it is free, very recommended. Everyone was fine, but the car could no longer move. The car rental company arranged for a tow truck. I originally wanted to cancel the booked hotel, but the hotel actually said to pick us up🥹. As a result, the hotel took 1.5 hours to come and another 1.5 hours to go back. Originally one meal and two meals, they actually left dinner for us, very touched.
In the morning of the second day, the hotel manager actually said that he could rent another car for us, and even drove us to pick up the car so that we could continue our journey.

|7.83km from city centerIn the quiet mountainous area of Azu, the superior traditional hot spring hotel, it is impossible to expect direct rail or public transportation! Only suitable for self-driving travelers, go to the nearest convenience store and drive 4 minutes.
The service is too good to ask for more, very kind, the waiter can communicate in simple English. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, eat in a separate room. Originally there were cows and sashimi, but because we didn't eat it, the check-in explained that the waiter worked hard to help us communicate with the chef to change to duck and sashimi.
The room is very large, the TV is a large-size Sony new smart TV in recent years, Wifi is stable, you can stay in the room to soak in the hot springs, lie on the sofa to play waste and watch YouTube, not afraid of doing nothing at night.
The whole hotel only has 7 rooms, so there are not many guests. The room has been soaked in separate baths, and you can use a large bath (indoor and outdoor) at night to appoint 5 separate soup houses, soaking is very cool!
Next time if you have the opportunity to pass Asu to do the midway station, you will definitely come again!
