Warm welcome from Reception and baggage carried and placed in room Room delightful, with welcome decanter. Room spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Restaurant adorable... Fire Place directly in the centre of the room and comfortable, discreet round tables placed around the room made for excellent conversation. Waiting Staff charming and very professional with perfect English Language Skills. Food and wine was excellent and creatively served. Our guests were greeted so they felt really at home. Breakfast available until 11 am which is great … we went for a nice long walk in a nearby park with views of the River Elbe leading out to sea. Wonderful to get away from the city into what once was a pretty village, which still has beautiful old thatched cottages and huge barns .. indeed Hygge Restaurant (the Hotel Restaurant) is simple a stunningly converted Barn which is trendy, comfortable and discreet. Well done. Hope to be back sometime soon. Thank you

I stayed at Hotel Behrmann for 2 nights visiting a friend who lives nearby and found this simple little hotel to be perfect. I had a comfortable, clean and quiet room away from the road, the bed was comfortable and bathroom spotless. Breakfast was fine, service friendly, altogether good value. I would definitely book this hotel again!

The hotel is located in the exclusive district of Blankenese and combines luxury with first-class service. It is little things like bedtime stories or separate dressing area in the room that make the difference. Breakfast is served with a view of the Elbe, there is everything your heart desires, but some extras like crabs, eggs Benedikt or champagne cost extra (see photo), which seems incomprehensible in view of the room prices. One must absolutely avoid the rooms in the adjoining house, which are located to the heavily frequented Sieberlingstrasse. I was woken up at 6.00 o'clock in the morning by traffic noise. This concerns room numbers 261, 260 and 259 on the 2nd floor and 157 to 161 on the 1st floor. Better book rooms 270-274 or 170-174. There is a wonderful wellness area with sauna, which you should definitely use. The hotel really keeps what it promises, but the traffic noise in the morning is unpleasant. Here, sound insulation windows should be urgently installed.

This hotel is essentially a bed & breakfast, but it is very well run, immaculately clean, and provides friendly service in a good location in the Blankenese neighborhood of Hamburg. Blankenese is in the far west of Hamburg, so this is not a downtown location near the major sights and attractions. The rooms are comfortably furnished and very quiet. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast in the on-site breakfast restaurant; the buffet contains a surprisingly wide range of breakfast items, and everything I tried was tasty and of high quality. The hotel is within easy walking distance of several restaurants, bars and cafes if one is searching for lunch or dinner options. The train station with direct access to downtown Hamburg is a 5-10 minutes walk away. One can also very easily walk from the hotel to the Elbe river, where there are additional restaurants and cafes directly on the river, plus of course virtually endless walking/hiking trails.

My husband booked this 'hotel' in a last minute panic, based solely on price, without doing any research or reading any reviews. My reaction on the location was almost divorce. Its down a lonely road from the station, tucked at the back of what can only be described as an industrial estate. The reception door is round the back of the building and very remote. You have to ring the bell to get someone to answer. However, the guy was friendly enough. Let me first be positive. Immaculately clean bedding and towels, (but only 1 bath towel provided for 2 of us). Very comfortable pillow - one of the best I have ever slept on in any hotel anywhere. That's about it. We had the 'apartment'. Very large room with sofa bed ready made up as double bed. Another settee, dining table and 4 chairs, basic kitchen stuff - not that we needed it. The smallest tv they could find. Bathroom reasonably modern with glass bowl type sink and washstand, which leaked all over the floor. Large shower cubicle which although clean on the surface, needed a deep clean. Bedroom! What can I say? First impressions were brothel (not that I have been in one!!!). Dark red silky curtains, built in bed with mirror located just above head level. I even checked for hidden cameras,, such was my paranoia, Dark wood double wardrobe. Main light didn't work, only 2 tiny lamps giving out hardly any light. Corridor in between bedroom and bathroom had no working light. Living area had 1 light fitting with only half the bulbs working. Couple of bulbs not working in bathroom. Tea, coffee etc were provided which was a nice touch. I didnt realise how close the room was to the railway lines. It was very hot in the bedroom but you either melted, or had the noise of trains running past every 10minutes, so I didn't sleep the 2 nights that we stayed. I never felt safe and was so relieved when we checked out. It was expensive for the location and facilities, and certainly one place I would not return to. Probably more suitable for workmen etc (no disrespect to them).

Everything is different at the moment because of CORONA... We chose this hotel because it was one of few hotels that had opened the pool area. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The spa area was closed but the spa pool was really nice /quiet and relaxing. It was nice to swim outside. It was heated. The spa area lokkede really nice as we walked through it. The fitness classes were all fully booked - but I was lucky to get a spot from the waiting list. The yoga was good. ( We didn't know we had to book in advance from home which would have given us more options of different fitness classes) next time we will do that. The gym is really nice. The garden around the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was at the lobby and it tasted really good. A clean and nice hotel where you can relax and be active. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. There are a lot of great restaurants walking distance from the hotel. And the bus is easy to use - bus stop right outside the hotel. We enjoyed this calm and stress-free hotel... It might be different after corona. Maybe we'll take the kids next time. They can play soccer and much more...

Well aware of what to expect from an Ibis, I decided to give this section of the Ibis selection a chance by staying a bit detached from downtown Hamburg but not that far; one is at the heart of the city in no time, tube station U3 Hamburger Strasse is no 5min away on foot! The aera is purely residential, extremely quiet, really away from the hussle and bussle, perfect for families; in the surroundings one finds supermarkets, coffee shops, small restaurantes, a petrol stations and one shopping mall, the famous Hamburger Meile! The concept of style differs depending on the location, the idea is to adapt to the area and make basic special: if that is the target, they did succeed in this ibis Style branch, although it could definitely cost a little less for not being that central... Similar standards found in any Ibis around the world can be expected there, though I got amazed at how large the room was, compared to a usual tiny Ibis size! There is no wardrobe in the room, the floor is carpeted, I couldn't find where to control the temperature and the worktable is too small for an adult; some furniture is already a bit tired and scratched, bathroom is all right but towels are reaching their due lifetime... Breakfast is rather basic but you really won't miss anything there; bread is fresch but juice isn't and only scrambled eggs are the warm options. But bear in mind it is an Ibis anyway and the the hotel lays between two supermarkets, if you miss something! It's a place to bear in mind for short stays in the future but management should really see into price, for it should really cost much less given its location and what it offers - thumbs-up, though, anyway!

Deliberately chose a hotel suitable for shopping, it is really good, next door is the mall, you can go shopping at any time, hotel facilities are not like five stars, put China is the most four stars, the waiter attitude is very good, some general, especially Restaurant waiter! I have had two burgers at the bar. It’s so delicious that you have to try it! The breakfast is almost always cool. It’s enough to eat for seven days. I still want to bring some Chinese food. We stayed 4 nights in this excellent resort. It was very quiet and our room had plenty of space. Our bed was good and comfortable and as it is a fairly new resort everything was really well kept, very clean and everything was of high quality. The bathroom was very nice and large enough for 2 persons. It is near the main station and within a short walking distance of the main areas such as Rathaus, Jungfernsteg, Speicherstadt etc. and the main shopping streets. We had a cooking facility, but we only had breakfast as there are so many good restaurants in Hamburg. A delight was being able to drink Nespresso coffee as there is a machine in every room. When we come back to Hamburg we know where we will stay. The staff at the reception were very helpful when we had questions.

Had an oppertunity to stay for three nights with family at this property. Just 30 min drive from Hamburg airport. Rooms are good with comfortable beds and wash rooms. If you love commuting by public transport, the local bus stop is right infront of the hotel. Of course presently you have to walk a few steps view a large scale construction work going around. The hotel provides a limited menu for your buffet breakfast, lunch n dinner. But a well equipped bar at the entrance itself is a good attraction. Few local eateries with fast food are also available at walking distance

I stayed for 4 nights in this basic, efficient hotel which has 6 more or less identical floors. The rooms are small and spartan, but clean. Think 1970s — wood chip walls, thin, cheap carpet on the floor, hard bed, a small bathroom with shower cubicle, with a shower head that is very hard to fix in position. The room is definitely below the standards of Travelodge let alone Premier Inn. It really needs a full renovation and modernisation (USB sockets in rooms, new lighting etc) and I believe another Novum hotel nearby has had a refurbishment, which I would have loved to see. However the hotel was not expensive, well situated in terms of transport links, WiFi was easy to connect to, and the staff I spoke with were generally very good. Housekeeping came every day and changed towels etc. , they were good and polite. I did complain as hotels.com said the rooms had blackout blinds, and as you can see from the pictures, this was not true. I got nowhere. I was shown a couple of other rooms but they are all pretty much the same, one was a little better in terms of floor space but would have cost me €15 extra per night. The area is a red light district at night, the transport is great but being bang next to the train station generally isn’t the best part of any city. So there is some noise of sirens, people randomly yelling etc. But the double glazed windows can be fully closed (as well as opened). I never had breakfast at the hotel, at €8.90 few people were and the place looked completely soulless. It’s an efficient, basic hotel if all you want to do is sleep there for a night or two, but I would not recommend it for a longer stay. if you like to spend time in the room and look at nice surroundings and enjoy hotel facilities this isn’t really the place.

The hotel itself has nice rooms. I stayed in an Executive room which was large and comfortable. Had a meal at the onsite restaurant which was not great. What I disliked the most about this hotel is that it’s in a business area, but not the kind of business area that’s bustling and has a variety of restaurants. It was very difficult to find a decent restaurant nearby, given that the onsite one fell short of expectations. The hotel is frankly in a very boring, business/industrial-looking area with some construction going on. Not great for a holiday stay because it is also quite far from the city center. I was also irritated by the fact that you have to download an app by a third party provider for the free airport shuttle and ask reception for a voucher code. Really cumbersome and I do not like submitting personal information to random third parties. Overall it is just OK for a night.

Clean, modern and centrally located. ***** I decided on a weekend away to visit the beautiful city of Hamburg and catch-up with a long-time friend. This hotel is centrally located - a 5 minute walk away from the main station and was perfect when arriving on a late flight. It is modern and comfortable and the staff pleasant enough. I opted for a single room and found it to be spacious, with all the amenities I’d expect and a full sized bathroom. There were free apples in reception and a free bottle of water in the room, which was a nice touch. I had a comfortable time and I don’t recognise the comments made in the negative reviews. The hotel describes itself as a “boutique” hotel and I wonder if the negative reviews are a reflection that it really isn’t a boutique. It’s clean, it’s functional, it’s modern - but I wouldn’t describe it as boutique. For example, the staff were inflexible on a late check-out (it just didn’t seem to be a possibility, even for a fee!) and some of the small touches you might expect at a “boutique” hotel just weren’t there. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact it was clean, comfortable, conveniently located and good value.

I've stayed in Hamburg many times but wanted to experience something different, so decided to book this hotel. The rooms are unique but very well laid out to maximize space. I loved everything about the room (except for the rock hard pillows) and the hotel. It is also located within steps of the S-Bahn (the S1 is only 2 stops from the Haupbahnhof (Main Train Station) and only 30 minutes direct to the airport. The area is also within steps of the main shopping district yet only a few minutes walk to the harbour/river. With everything within walking distance, there was no need for using transit. The hotel also has a really neat "vibe" and the staff are all fluent in English and very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable except for the rock hard pillows (I purchased an airline pillow after the first night). While the breakfast is adequate, the bread selection was very limited and portions extremely small (bread rolls). These were the only minor issues I found otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

Never been to Hamburg before; read reviews for this hotel and took it. The short walk from the U-bahn I had a few doubts... lots of gratiffi etc (I'm not a prude, but thought maybe I'd made a bit of a "too colorful" choice). Got to the hotel and it was great. Newly remodeled, very clean and modern. The desk manager was absolutely the best and most friendly I have ever run in to, even at 5-star hotels. She volunteered info, maps, umbrella etc, gave hints for where to walk close in the neighborhood to find shops and supplies. Room was wonderful. Good new bathroom, great shower. Good quality towels and shampoo. Breakfast buffet was top notch. There were the typical pan of eggs and sausage, but then tons of other high quality food. I stayed for seven nights at the Ibis St Pauli Messe from 30th May to 6th June 2019. Although the hotel's reception area was in the middle of refurbishment, the friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff meant that this did not impact on the pleasure of my stay in any way. My room was basic but very clean as were the en suite facilities. Breakfast was of a high standard and the staff courteous and helpful. The hotel is close to St Pauli Messe U and thus the city centre and other areas are easily accessible. There are good restaurants in the vicinity. My only complain would be that the room did not have a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. I know this was made clear before I arrived, but it would have made a big difference to my stay to have made myself a cup of tea on waking and on returning to the hotel at the end of the day. The Holiday Inn Express hotel opposite, which is of a similar standard, did provide such facilities. This apart, I would recommend heartily recommend this hotel as a Hamburg touring base.

The location is excellent, and all the sights and shopping centers in the city of Hamburg are walking distance. Close to the Dommtor train station, it is convenient to get on and off the train and light rail, and it is less safe than the central station. The view of the floor on the floor is good, but there is a bar downstairs with some noise at night. There was something wrong with Ctrip when booking. The three-night order allowed me to split it into 1+2, saying it was cheap. After the first night of confirmation, after a day, the text message told me that because the contact could not be contacted, the second order could not be completed (very strange reason), and the price went up a lot when the order was placed! And every morning I have to go to the front desk to check out and check in. Although I just walked through the game, it also added a lot of trouble.

We stopped here for a night while going through Hamburg, but didn't have time to spend more than one night here. Our stay had nothing to do with it being Eco-friendly, but that was a nice bonus. The room had one bed and some space, and there was an extra double bed in a separate bedroom. It worked great for our family of five including 3 kids. The breakfast was a highlight, and was very fresh. They made eggs to order as well as hot chocolate for our kids. The woman working in the morning was very sweet with our kids, gave them a piece of candy and even found a box of colored pencils and coloring sheets for my 5-yr old son who was bored during breakfast. After we checked out we made a 5+ minute walk to a little park with a great little playground just a bit north and east (Spielplatz Zylberbergstraße).

Couldn’t have asked for a better room. Mike did struggle building his tooth in your kettle but I don’t think this will be a regular request from guests in the future. This is a top class Hotel. Service is very good at every place. The Hotel, rooms, restrooms and all other places are absolutely clean. You can access the viewing platform around Elbphilharmonie from the hotel lobby (8th floor) for free, just use your room card. The room has an incredible view. It is just amazing. Its size is a standard hotel room. The Bathroom door offers a nice double-feature: It is used as the Bathroom main door, but also can be used as the door for the toilet only. Parking is 6 Euros an hour and 35 a day. The breakfast has a very good quality, but is a bit overpriced at 30 Euros. To be critizised are a few things: The door from the garage to the elevtors is manual only. This is very bad for handicapped people. Should not happen these days. Needs a change. The telefone in the room is a mess. It is not intentional in its use. The letters at the buttons are so small that you might need magnifying glasses to read them. Even the button for emergency has no bigger letters or different color, it just vanishes in this mash of buttons. If you leave the curtains open it is impossible to get the room to a good cool temperature. Due to the size and shape of these special windows the sun gets its natural job done. So, keep the sunscreen-curtain closed or be boiled in the room.

This hotel is in a great location and serves as the perfect base if you want to stay centrally for a weekend trip/ few days in Hamburg. During COVID the hotel handled everything very well in particular the pool/ spa which was limited to 10 people maximum (make sure you book in advance). The areas was super clean, modern and actually very enjoyable to have all the space for leisure facilities (and I believe one of the only hotels to keep everything open during the pandemic). The breakfast was very good and rooms comfortable, with a good sleep thanks to the blackout blinds and comfy bed. The only downside to the hotel is its need for a major upgrade of fixtures/ decor. The building might be old but that shouldn’t be reflected inside- a new carpet and lick of paint throughout would make a big difference. The lobby area is dark and uninviting and hallways like stepping back into the 2000’s, with peeling wallpaper and weird IKEA style lights- not really expected for a 5* hotel. Stay here for the location, pool and friendly staff!

A brilliant find at the end of the Reeperbahn. Excellent location, but nice and quiet. Only a few minutes walk from public transport which services all parts of Hamburg. Exceptionally clean rooms with very good amenities. Rooms were modern and spacious. The service was brilliant and we couldn’t have been happier with the staff and how we were treated throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Hamburg.
