My husband and I spent a week here as a birthday celebration. As gold members we were offered a free upgrade by Barbara and stayed in a wonderful suite with a huge private balcony overlooking the town!! During our stay we were extremely impressed by the standard of cleanliness and Covid awareness in the hotel . The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and the staff were so kind especially Piero, Benedetta, Sergio, Andreas and another young lady whom I did not get her name . The reception staff were very efficient in check in and departure especially Chiara and Mohammed . At the pool area there was a great guy called Antonio who looked after us for most of the week and was extremely helpful and very good at cleaning and sanitising !! We only met the other pool man called Salvatore for one day and he was lovely too. I wanted to also give a big mention about Catarina. She worked in the bar area and was absolutely lovely and very funny!! She made wonderful cocktails and we really enjoyed our nightcaps (Carlos Primo) and coffees!! We had such a relaxing stay even in these uncertain times . We felt the location was fine with a 15/20 minute walk to town for a good choice of restaurants. There are a few small restaurants/bars even closer which were very nice too. I would highly recommend this hotel and the Sardinian people are very friendly. Will definitely try to return soon !!

I loved the balcony, style of the apartment and free parking on the 2 storage parking place with the easy access from the airport. The bed was good. The room by the reception was noisy. Also there was no lift so a bit hard with the heavy luggage. Short walk to the restaurants and shops though.

I wish I could give this Hotel 5*'s I really do, however before I get started on the Hotel and our experience I would like to say Valentino, Monika, Valeria and Lisa you deserve 5*'s and I'll explain within this review as to why!! My brother and I had a very warm welcome and were shown to our room, very nice indeed however it would have been nice to be told about the Construction working happening next door as we had scaffolding in the back terrace, rubble and other work materials. I walked out onto the decking to go down to the seats and part of the decking came away, i nearly fell down the stairs (i've had knee ops and dont want another!!) I raised this issue to a lady at the desk who apologised and assured it would be fixed the next day, nobody came to fix the step so I am not sure if this will be fixed. We had noticed bugs around the refrigerator and raised this to Valentino who dealt with this matter in a professional manner, he looked into finding some repellent and when he could not he arranged for us to move rooms the next day! His communication was fantastic and he went out of his way to make sure we were okay, and that we were happy with everything. He made other staff members aware. The room we had moved to was a lot better than the first, we did have the building site next door still however the balcony was a safe area. Every morning we went down to breakfast we were greeted by Monika who is a bubbly individual, she went out of her way every morning to see if we were okay or if she could anything for us. Conversation was very polite and welcoming (Thank-You) We decided to try out the spa which was very nice and peaceful, good facilities and good choice in different treatments. We had been shown around the spa by a lady who explained it all well but failed to comment on footwear.... I specifically asked about my flip flops and was told to leave everything in the changing room, i asked about the lockers and she said no I had to leave them on the bench (we dont get lockers) including my flip flops. My brother was just in socks, he came down in just socks so surely something would've been said? No. Near the end of the spa I slipped on the floor and damaged my foot and knee, if it wasn't for my arm opening the fire door my foot would've gone through glass! As mentioned before I have had 3 knee operations, I am in need of 2 new knees at 25 and would never put myself in any danger of causing more damage! We saw people walking around with flip flops and some without. I went to tell a member of staff where Valeria tried her best to make the situation better. I was disgusted at how I was treated at the top desk Valentino tried his best to make sure I was okay and the lady with him did not really want to fix the situation, there was no offer to reduce our spa payment, or even our massage treatment for the next day, they basically told me I had to wear flip flops even though I was told not to wear them!! we chose Locanda del Conte Mameli because of the wonderful reviews here on Trip Advisor. I agree that it is a nice place, but we had some issues. We booked a Junior Suite, and placed a deposit of one night for a 3-night stay. After checking in and sending our luggage to the room, we were informed that the second floor does not have air conditioning due to a problem with the compressor, and that our room is on the second floor. We rejected the room, it was too hot. So we were given a downgraded room on the first floor next to the lobby. All was fine until we went to check out the night before leaving. We were charged 4 nights on a 3 night stay, plus we were being charged for the junior suite when we stayed in a regular double. The clerk amended the bill to reflect 3 nights, but said we had to pay for the junior suite anyway. He said that because he comped us a massage, we were even. So there was an argument, and the clerk told us that if we didn't like the hotel, we should have stayed elsewhere. We explained to him that we were 7000 miles from home, and that is not that easy. So we went to bed aggravated. In the morning the manager Angelo came in, and he was professional, and he straightened it out. In the end we were treated fairly. Would we ever go back? No, but my rating of this hotel is good. We loved the location, and the restaurant is expensive but great and the building has character. Parking is an issue. I noticed the listing here has been amended to say "street parking' rather than free parking. Yes there is street parking IF you can get a spot which is a big if. Otherwise the lots are expensive.

two nights here on the second leg of our sardinia trip. we arrived around 16:30, i think, and there was nobody there. the missus made a call and somebody arrived to let us in about twenty-five minutes later; check-in felt a bit hurried. later, after we returned from an evening out, we couldn't get back into our room, so another phone call required. in fairness, she arrived within about ten minutes and explained that we couldn't get in because we'd left a card in the power slot, so we could charge a phone; strangely it was just one of the cards that did this, and it was fine the other way around. as a positive, this was probably the nicest room we stayed in and had a small balcony.

On Arrival at this hotel you are met with an un manned reception and locked doors. You are required to use the key card given on checkin to access the hotel but to get checked in you have to locate a member of staff at an alternative hotel somewhere further down the road ( we never did find out where it was exactly) or you can call the number on the locked door and somebody will come to you in a few minutes. However after a long flight, travel from the airport and then walk to find the hotel which is situated on a pedestrian zone you do not fell like going through all this just to get checked in, especially if it is dark and night which is was on our arrival. Rooms are small and boring and very uncomfortable bed. On the first night of our stay I actually slept very little. Firstly our room was situated next to the street where the rubbish being removed in the early hours was very noisy and woke me up with a fright as all of the glass bottles from the bars was tipped into a recycle vehicle to be transported away, this was about 3.a.m I believe. Then at 4 a.m some very unruly guests were running riot through the hotel, shouting, screaming, crying girls and knocking doors. I understand that the hotel cannot judge their guests before allowing them to stay but you I can expect is that there is available staff to deal with these problems, there was not and the disturbance carried on for over an hour. It was actually quite scary as we did not know what was happening outside of our room. No staff at all unless you telephone for assistance but as the number to call was only on the front door or the reception that night we could not get any attention. It was horrible and I had very little sleep. Only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast which was lovely ( if I could find the energy to eat it ) also the lady staff member Francesca who was available throughout breakfast was very nice. I would never return to this hotel as there is much better at less cost in Olbia. Very very disappointed and actually quite angry to be treated like this.

We stayed at the Mare Blue at the beginning of July for 3 nights. We wanted a small hotel close to the beach with parking, which is exactly what we got. There was a small bit of confusion at check in (10 am) where we booked a sea view room but were first led to a ground floor room. After some checking by the owner we discovered that the room we were meant to get was not yet cleaned, so we toured around the area for a bit then came back to a freshly cleaned room (with crib already assembled for our infant). In the first, ground floor, room I saw that the bathroom had been upgraded more recently compared to our sea view room (2nd floor). However, our new room was larger so no complaints. The hotel offers direct beach access from a private gate with shower, and there is a beach bar directly adjacent as well. The breakfast was adequate for folks wanting to take off their shirts shortly afterwards (ie not a lot of heavy stuff like sausage or pancakes), and it wasn’t busy so no jostling for the cucumbers or whatever. At night I was able to get a glass of wine from the bar as late at 10 pm and take it to my room, although there is a large sitting area with TV if you want to chat with friends. While not offering a restaurant, there is a popular cafe about 0.5 km down the road, or a nice adults only restaurant attached to the Pelican Hotel directly adjacent. Overall very pleased with my short visit. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Inspite of Coronavirus and the ever changing rules to mitigate the impact on the economy the class of the hotel shone through. Originally booked GHP through TripAdvisor. Unfortunately with Boris wavering from one day to the next and with the rather long notice of the cancellation terms we decided to cancel our booking. Scouring the area for other alternatives I kept coming back to the GHP. Having made the decision on the hotel, we contacted directly and what a top decision that was, Elena was great and added to the feeling that we had done the right thong. Though more costly we probably ended up with a better view, balcony, view over the gulf, late checkout of 1pm, not 10am and with a late flight that was needed. However importantly we were able to cancel very late in the day. Then came Boris decision to put Italy on the destination with lurgy that we need to disinfect on the way back even though returning to a country with worse rates, ours is not the reason why. No island exception. So decision time isolate again but just for 7 days away is it worth it. Well the hotel looks good ,Elena has improved our expectation so let's do it. An empty flight over, 45 on board. Short flight, very quickly through the airport, no waiting for a test just quickly temperature check. Bus outside, hindsight wonderful but took the twenty euro taxi ride and arrived at the hotel 4 minutes later. Greeted by Elena and a temperature check. Room 312 ,what a lovely room, lovely balcony, lovely view ,ferrys in the port, London eye to the left with its light display. Right choice made , no restaurant operating due to Coronavirus! But only two minutes walkfrom Olbia. Waking up every day to the view, sitting on the balcony was wonderful, lovely cup of coffee and the view nearly heaven. Traffic can be noisy so perhaps higher floor would be better. In my opinion the noise is worth it for the view, rooms on the side don't have the full view. The maintenance of the room was perhaps the best I have come across, with clean towels daily and sheets every two days, four times in a week. Breakfast was exceptional, with lovely cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, sausage, and for me a wonderful selection of cakes. The berry cake just shading the cream by a smidgen. Orange juice on request and the coffee wasn't bad. The three staff that worked the restaurant looked the part, smart and were excellent, nothing seemed too much trouble, though I suspect they have to bite their lips at times. Quickly realised how to get busses to Pittunga beach ,the train to Costa Aranci, this was a good choice. Restaurants in the vicinity were ok , a vegetable or two would be nice to have on your plate when you don't a want a whole course. The weather at the end of October was great, the Coronavirus was respected by the majority. Corona,As I said the restaurant was closed because of Coronavirus but it appears they were able to cater for the visiting football teams do breakfast but coul

This little and likely new or renovated contemporary hotel lacks of absolutely nothing that you’ll get in a 4* hotel but it doesn’t price like that. The lady at the reception (or was it the owner) is very friendly and helpful. She gave us great and accurate descriptions of the area nearby, which came with a top notch restaurant tip. She also seems to work very hard (we saw her in the evening shift and yet again the next morning 👍). The hotel respectively it’s rooms are spotless clean, good double-glassed windows and thus quiet, comfortable beds, sufficiently spacious bathrooms with quality towels, etc., and it is just around the corner of Olbia’s corso (it’s walking street with lots of restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and gelaterias). It’s a great stay to stop over but actually it’s worthwhile to add a day in Olbia.

I stayed at Ciro’s House B&B the last week of August 2018. I had an absolutely wonderful experience. It is located in Olbia, close to the airport. Managed by Eduardo, the check-in and check-out process was seamless. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and the staff exceptionally friendly. I stayed alone, and occupied the suite, which had a large room, and private bathroom. The whole experience was very easy to manage by myself. Eduardo was readily available to communicate and answer any questions I had. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Olbia, Sardinia, Italy.

End of March we stayed here for two nights. The hotel is a charming, family run hotel right in the centre of Olbia. The room we had was spacious, very clean and everything worked as it should. Some things appear a bit dated, but we prefer this to the spotless anonymity of chain hotels. Breakfast was abundant with predominantly Italian dolces (sweet pies). Staff is friendly and though our lack of Italian prevented any real communication, we were served our every wish. The hotel has a single elevator connecting the floors. We could not find any stairs other than the fire escapes. Wi-Fi is free and works fine. The hotel has a secluded parking free of charge.

We booked Casa Solmes through booking.com and was not disappointed. It is a small house with currently 5 rooms. The arrival was easy as they tell you how to get in and when you are in the courtyard you enter the building and your room number is on a blackboard with the key already in the door. Once inside the rooms are recently updated so they are very clean and well appointed. Breakfast is served in the kitchen and while simple is excellent to get you started. This is a modern hotel with a lovely outside pool and some of the friendliest hotel staff I have come across. It is a little outside the main restaurant and port area of Olbia which is around a 15 minute walk through a less picturesque part of town. So do take comfortable shoes to talk to town in! The rooms are also fairly small and basic, but they have a very large double bed with good sheets/pillows and nice modern bathrooms. If you can, ask for a view of the pool as the rooms on the other side of the hotel have a very poor view of the fly over/dual carriage way. they have standard swimming pool hair dryers in the bathrooms, so I would take your own as they only seem to have larger hair dryer for the whole hotel. Breakfast was a bit slow as a system of ordering the night before seemed to take a while to deliver the next morning in the breakfast area, but we did get used to it. The car hire man, Paolo, in the lobby was also extremely helpful and priced better than on line in an extremely busy bank holiday weekend. We were doing a mix of work and holiday and on some long days, used a local supermarket (2 mins walk away) for food and the hotel does a few things on their own bar menu, but it's not a large choice. They will put a kettle (a boiler in Italian) and tea and coffee in your room, but you have to ask for it. There was nothing in the mini bar at this time, due to the current situation with covid, but you can buy drinks and put them in the fridge. The best things about this hotel are really the lovely staff and the pool!

I have stayed 3 nights at Sardegna-e room. I had double Lavanda room on 2nd floor (Italians say 1st floor) with decent balcony and sea view. Amazing! The room itself has everything! Maybe rather small for 2 persons with 2 big bags. As I was alone it was enough. But the view from the bed was to dye for. You open your eyes in the morning and you watch the sea! Aircon worked perfectly, there is small fridge and tea kettle (for Russians very important !!) You can find chairs and tables on the balcony. Of course there is umbrella for the balcony and you can have one for beach. Laura who works there is wonderful person! So caring and so supportive! She speaks a very good English and you can reach her via What’s Up. As for the area around: - bus stop #4 is behind the house; - taxi ride from airport cost 30 Eur - product shop is around the corner (unfortunately here in Sardegna it is a good surprise) - big supermarket is 2 km away(use bus #4) - Olbia is 20 min away by bus (go to local mercato and back) - beach is 100 m from the house - there is also restaurant (don’t have my personal experience) -beach is very clean.. mainly Italian families. - water is nice and clean (no yachts around). I would strongly recommend this place if you just arrived in Sardegna or your flight is tomorrow. Also I would recommend this place if you travel by car and you can daily reach Costa Smeralda and come back for sleep.

Wow wow wow, what can i say From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Fabio who showed us around the resort, and then to our beautiful room. What a wonderful surprise, not only a fabulous junior suite, but the most amazing private pool. As we arrived quite late, the chef waited for us and prepared dinner, which was brought to our room which was a fabulous welcome, it was delicious and well needed after the journey When we woke in the morning we could fully appreciate what i can only describe as the most fabulous view ever, and a glorious sunny morning Breakfast was great, lots of choice, but its the views, the calmness, the privacy and the fabulous team that make this place probably the best resort i have ever visited. The staff are wonderful, Izabella was a star, dealing with my reservation from start to finish, answering every question, which included the journey to the resort, up the hill, which she assured me was safe, it was indeed, and was a joy to drive up to this wonderful hotel Barbara again i have to mention, smiley, friendly, funny, and patient when my boyfriend said he wanted her to play led Zeppelin at breakfast instead of simply red, which i told her to ignore! Mirela the lovely housekeeping lady, very hard working, smiley, happy and friendly. In fact every team member that we came across was a joy, really, you can see they love working in this beautiful paradise. As i also work in hotels i understand the challenges of ensuring each and every guest feels special, looked after, rested, and recharged when they leave Well done Petra Segreta.. you have cracked this! We loved every single moment- and would return in a heartbeat and we will.. so so very special, thank you to you all.

My wife and I visited Sardinia for a week this year and stopped in this wonderful accommodation provided by Marco and Leonora. We stayed in the purpose built mini villa a short distance from the main house. It provided us with the perfect spot, a fifteen minute drive from Olbia airport, with which to explore the Costa Smerelda (Emerald Coast) of north east Sardinia. Fabulous beaches, wonderful food. We hired a Fiat 500 and travelled all over the area. One fantastic beach/view after another. We recommend Isola Rossa, Porto Cervo (how the wealthy live in Sardinia!) Porto Rotondo. Santa Theresa di Gallura is well worth a visit. Olbia itself has a lovely main street but isn't anything special, but you don't need to go far to find many special places. A car is a must. Beware the mad Sardinian drivers, they take no notice of speed limits or road signs and will tailgate you if they think you are too slow. A visit to the interior and the fabulous plains and mountains is a must. Our breakfasts at La Scala were tasty and fresh in a lovely purpose built gazebo. Mozzies can be a pain sometimes, especially in the evening so Avon skin so soft is a must (apparently the armed forces use it so it must be good!) Thanks Leonora for a wonderful holiday. We plan to return.

Olbia City Center
It is worthy of being a hotel in the whole city. The hotel is basically in the center of the city. There is a platform on the top floor for 360 degree viewing and sun bathing. The stay was very good. I saw the rainbow on the platform and it is a recommended hotel.

We did not actually stay at the hotel, we booked it for 4 nights, but when arrived it was not suitable for a wheelchair user. But we feel we had to let people know how understanding and helpful the man on reception was. He telephoned Booking.com and explained our situation, whilst offering my wife and I and hot drink. We cannot thank him enough for his help, hence the 5 star rating, he is a credit to the hotel.

we got in late and the owners stayed up to welcome us, get us situated and recommend a restaurant. Room was very clean and quiet. Also had blackout shutters as well. Would definitely stay here again if transiting through olbia in the future.

We stayed a night here in October, we got there close to 11 pm and found a place to park the car on the street. Check in went smoothly, friendly staff, clean room, A/C and wifi. There were two outlets that allowed an adapter for US to EU electrical plug ins, the rest of them were too small. Toiletries such as soap and shampoo were provided. The A/C worked well and it is a quiet hotel. It is a good value for the money, plain and functional. I thought the sheets were scratchy but we stayed in four hotels during our stay in Sardinia and they all had rough sheets and blanket. The person who checked us into the hotel mentioned breakfast was at 7:30 in the morning, but when we arrived for breakfast at 7:30 we learned that it did not start until 8 am. We had to leave before 8 am so we asked if we could take some food with us and the person working the desk brought out a plate of different croissants and yogurts for us to eat on our way. One odd thing was that I received an email the day before we arrived stating that we should check in no later than 10 pm. Our flight was delayed so we arrived after 10 pm and I was worried that we wouldn't get checked in, but when we arrived later than 10, they were there to check us in.

two nights here on the second leg of our sardinia trip. we arrived around 16:30, i think, and there was nobody there. the missus made a call and somebody arrived to let us in about twenty-five minutes later; check-in felt a bit hurried. later, after we returned from an evening out, we couldn't get back into our room, so another phone call required. in fairness, she arrived within about ten minutes and explained that we couldn't get in because we'd left a card in the power slot, so we could charge a phone; strangely it was just one of the cards that did this, and it was fine the other way around. as a positive, this was probably the nicest room we stayed in and had a small balcony.

I loved the balcony, style of the apartment and free parking on the 2 storage parking place with the easy access from the airport. The bed was good. The room by the reception was noisy. Also there was no lift so a bit hard with the heavy luggage. Short walk to the restaurants and shops though.
