A stylish hotel within walking distance to many restaurants and touristy locations, I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Historico Central. Along a bustling street, it's easy for tour pick-up's, which was really useful. From the front desk staff, Ana, to my favorite porter, Heriberto, every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room rates are a bit expensive, yes, but I can say with surety that you get your money's worth. The free meal service provided by the cafe at the hotel's entrance is a useful tool to cut back on food costs. The service is great and the menu, although limited, is just as good. I highly recommend it for those on-the-go moments! My only regret is I wish I had planned a longer trip.

We really liked this hotel even though remodeling was ongoing. The workers came in at 5am and made themselves known right away after a short talk with the manager they were very respectful and were quiet they next several days that we were there! This is an awesome location! A short cab ride to the Museums, the cathedrals, the shopping centers, the restaurants and the night life. We had a family room 3 beds in a large room and 1 queen size bed in a connecting room. Only 1 bathroom but two sinks. We were able to manage getting ready every morning and evening! No fridge, microwave or coffee pot. But the nearby restaurants were open early enough for full breakfast and coffee not to mention most of the bakeries were open some even 24 hours! Again the key is location! We found a karaoke bar and had a great time singing and Imbibing tequila and beers. The DJ really got into the singing and we had a great time!! There was even a band playing in a side street that played Chuck Berry songs for us as we are from St Louis!! Again location of this hotel is key!! The room is comfortable and very clean. The room came with breakfast in the upstairs top floor overlooking Calle Bolívar. Breakfast was great and very filling. You will not be disappointed!

We were booked in this hotel by our airline after a very long, hard day. We hadn't eaten since breakfast and had a terribly stressful day of standing for hours and hours in the chaos of the airport during a covid crisis. We thought a ”Hotel Ritz” near the zocolo would offer a nice respite with a good meal before heading back to a rebooked flight in the early morning. But, alas, it was not to be. The staff who greeted us were very nice and professional. But our room was down a long, stark hallway and despite being in an old, historic building, there was zero character inside. The room was functional, though the shower was only lukewarm. When we went to the restaurant, which had all of the charm of a school cafeteria, and gave them our voucher for $600 pesos, they gave us a worn printout with a small selection of meals, then told us only 4 options were available. None were anything we would choose. We had planned to buy drinks with dinner, but they made us sign a receipt saying we had spent all $600 pesos ($30 U.S.) before even serving our food, which would have maybe cost $300 p. tops off a real menu. I ate part of a rubbery piece of chicken with a small wilted salad and my husband had a sandwich on white bread. Afterward, we walked somewhere else for food and drinks, which we should have done to begin with. We passed one other family eating in the hotel and noticed they had McDonalds take-out. Later, we checked their regular menu, which had many options that would have fit easily into the $600p budget. The treatment felt insulting. We had been given taxi vouchers to and from the hotel as well. At reception, we requested they schedule our morning taxi, which they assured us they would do. I got up early to double check with the morning reception that it had been scheduled, and they said yes - it was on its way. The hotel is on a section of street that is pedestrian-only, so we walked our luggage to the nearest spot for auto traffic and waited. The taxi never came. Finally, my husband went back to the hotel to ask for help and was told to call an Uber. It was clear that they had not called the taxi for us, and we lost almost an hour of time getting to the airport because of it. Oh yes, and the elevator buttons do not work. And the walls are extremely thin. Someone had sick kids nearby and the screaming and coughing echoed loudly through the halls all night. We could hear every flush and every conversation in that corridor. Most MX hotels have solid brick and stucco walls that block sound, but not this one. The Centro area is wonderful, and worth staying in for a night or two, but I recommend the Best Western Hotel Majestic. We stayed in a suite there at the beginning of our trip and our giant room was beautiful, overlooking the zocolo and the staff were great. The rate was good, too. If you have more time in CDMX, Coyoacan is my favorite neighborhood for lodging, but it's nice to spend some time in the centro. I also want to mention that we ha

A fantastic location, very helpful, professional staff, willing to provide assistance and answers to every question. 24h reception, comfortable beds, quiet and quiet despite being in the very heart of the city. The hostel is located in a beautiful building, with the front of the restaurant, one of the best in the city. For this hostel at an amazing price - approx. 40 zł per night.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights (August 20-25, 2022) Our stay was excellent. From the time we checked in and checked out, the process was great. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating! It was plus for me as it seems that everyone speaks English. Breakfast was included during our stay! Food was excellent. Pretty much a brunch for us, as breakfast is served from 7 am till noon: a full service. There was always something different from the day before. They even cooked food as requested. The servers were on top of what we needed or asked! A free drink was also included during our stay: The Rosa Mezcal was sooo good! Our room was very clean, and spacious enough for two people. The room is cleaned everyday! Always good to come back to a clean room after a long day out. Although we have to wait for a few minutes for the shower to get a hot water, we loved it. After a long day out, the showers was excellent once the hot water is on. We were given a room at the back, no windows, but we didn't care for it anyways. No street noise for once. Excellent location, close to everything! All walkable. There are restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy close by. They also arranged our tour , and our ride to the airport. I can't emphasized enough how exceptional service they provide for their customers. We will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend staying at this hotel. Thank you guys! Keep up the excellent job!

While this hotel was aesthetically pleasing and in a good location for relatively easy access to many tourist spots, the amenities, service, and operation was absolutely horrible! The language barrier was also very challenging and one would think for this to be such a hot spot that they would have staff fluent in English for tourists. I was told that the hotel had english-speaking concierge that would be able to guide me with questions on transportation, etc. and that was not the case. Day 1: - Language barrier made check-in unnecessarily challenging - Language barrier made the ability to assist us with our desired tours impossible, thankfully we had a backup plan and had gathered information for ourselves - Bikes as advertised were not available AT ALL, at no time during our stay and per guests that had arrived a week prior the bikes had not been available (out for repairs & unavailable the entire stay)...this was the method of transportation we had planned on using AND had supposedly reserved for the afternoon of our arrival, thus causing us to have to change plans - My 1st evening in the room the air conditioning was not working and my room was SCORCHING! I was calling every 1 - 1.5 hrs asking for assistance, and even though they are able to control it remotely they could not get it working....I was only able to rest approx. 3 hrs and woke up congested and with a migraine. The young woman at the front desk did everything that she could to communicate the issue and actually did apologize that I was ill, however was not successful in her attempts to reach 'The Manager' as she said that 'the manager' would not return calls made in attempt to speak with me - this ultimately made me late for our tour/lunch reservation due to attempts to handle the situation. Upon return for the afternoon I was told that the A/C was fixed. Upon arriving in the room I found it to be freezing cold and attempted to turn the unit off, the front desk staff KEPT turning it back on, even after attempts to help them understand that the temperature was still not being controlled within the room, thus I was probably able to get 4-5 hrs of sleep and my cold/congestion got worse.....and they said there was no room available to move me to All that said, I have my complaint into the booking agency and hotel corp office, but am writing this review to warn anyone contemplating their stay at City Centro Ciudad de Mexico

Very clean hostel and great facilities. Most evenings there’s events at the hostel like karaoke or movie nights. Or if that’s not for you there’s loads of great bars and clubs nearby. The hostel provides free tours around the city. Jair took my group on a cycling tour and a trip via the subway to Coyacan. He speaks great English, knows everything about the city and is fun to have a joke with. Deserves all the tips.

Stayed here for a week. PROS * Location - This is located right in the heart of the Centro historico district. This is the where most of the attractions are. It’s also been significantly gentrified over the past decade and features a heavy security detail (police, etc) so safety is high. The majority of cities attractions are within walking distance. * Security - Kind of feeds into the above. Because its in the Centro district the streets outside have a heavy police presence. The hotel also has someone on the door at all times including at night. I felt very safe here. * Staff were friendly. * Rooms were clean. * Price was reasonable * 24 hour check in desk * Can arrange airport pick up/drop off (Price was 650 per car at time of writing) * Hot water worked CONS * Although wifi was available on all floors the internet would constantly drop out. * In keeping with the historic nature of the hotel there were a few things that were showing their age - in our room the tap in the sink leaked and the remote for the TV was broken. Minor inconveniences. * No air conditioning in the rooms although due to mexico cities elevation this was manageable temperature wise. TIPS * If you wish to go to the gym while you are on holidays there is a snap fitness Torres Latino which is located 550m away on the 15th floor of the latinoamerica building. It costs 100 peso for a day trip. * The nearest laundry we found was Planchaduria La Azteca, which was once again 550m away on republica de Cuba. It charges 35 peso a kg of laundry with a 24 hour turn around service. Overall a great option for the price point.

This lovely gem is right in the heart of the city! The interior hallways are sleek and modern while homage to a historic past. The building is a former law office and the interior is a classic courtyard presentation. The restaurants and bar are on the roof top, which is the 5th floor. My room was on the street side and I got an upgrade due to my Hilton status, so I had this huge suite on the 4th floor with incredible views of the interior when I opened my door. The bathroom was roomy and spacious. The shower was huge with both a hand held and a shower rainfall option. I had dual sinks and the lotion and other amenities were very nice. The bed was comfy, the windows could open and there were many lighting options. There was bedside lighting, overhead lighting and more. It was quite amazing! The bedroom was all white and quite bright. My ”living room” was dark, but had so many additional lighting options, plus the record player, TV, and the bright window for when the curtains were open. The sliding door between the 2 rooms was perfect. And, I had not only a desk with hand sanitizer, but also a small dining table with 2 chairs in my ”living room”. It was a heavenly stay. Now, the pool was tiny, but the hot tub was lovely and the cocktails were nice! Breakfast at Oliva was included for me and was delicious. The other restaurant on the rooftop, Paixa Do was also quite amazing. Creative food and a gorgeous view with excellent service and a great wine selection. What else? The front desk staff and bellmen were lovely. The concierge was a little odd to me, so I ignored him after the first day. It was easy to take an Uber from my hotel and the Uber was very cheap in US $. Within walking distance were a few Sanbornes, a money exchange place, and some nice restaurants. I totally would return here again. It was my fifth trip to Mexico City in the last 15-20 years and I've stayed only in 1 other place twice. Again, this is a fantastic place to stay...I almost forgot to mention the private movie theater upstairs, the art gallery and the records (vinyl LPs) that one could take and play on bluetooth speakers in your room! What a treat!

Excellent location for shopping. Good attention, it has its own parking lot shared with a public one. Just one detail: a lot of noise from guests entering and leaving. I don't know if it's a lot of echo in the corridors or that the administration asks the guests to be quiet, but they don't let them sleep.

Unfortunatelly, although in a great location, hotel Administration clearly has a problem. We are Hyatt members and this experience has not been pleasant for what is paid. Restaurant service any time after breakfast is terrible..food bad old refrigerated tast and bar service poor, not attentive to the public, doesnt know how to serve great or anything.. We have not been the only onces complaining today.. lack of experience and training of the personnel is clear as they dont know how to serve and anticipate themselves to the service. Again, food is real bad. People have come and left today because they were not being attended and no interest seems to come from the people on duty. We reserved a different room on the web because our bed was real bad. We are suppose to get the check in today to a better room and room is not available yest, its after 3 pm. Anyway, I think this is our last time staying here, sorry to say and I have to share to make you head Management know that your service here should be expected to be 100 times better than it is...food here in Mexico is amazing, who is in your kitchen? Why are you not traning your people?

Despite its convenient location and relatively clean rooms, several significant issues greatly affected our overall experience. One of the main drawbacks was the excessive noise within the hostel. Unfortunately, the rooms were all oriented towards either a closed courtyard or the staircase, and the lack of proper windows intensified the noise levels. Instead of windows, only wooden shutters were provided, which proved ineffective in blocking out the sounds from outside. As a result, getting a restful night's sleep became a challenge, and any hopes of tranquility were shattered as early as 5 am each morning. Adding to the disappointment, a booking issue arose during our stay. In an attempt to address the problem, the hostel offered us cocktail vouchers and a promised 15% refund. However, when we arrived at the bar to redeem the vouchers, we discovered that they were only valid for Mezcal or beer, contradicting the promise of cocktails as advertised. Furthermore, despite reaching out to the hostel twice regarding the 15% refund, we have yet to receive any response or reimbursement. This lack of follow-through reflects poorly on the hostel's commitment to customer satisfaction and further contributed to our disappointment.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January 2022. The hotel is in a nice area close to shops, cafes, restaurants, street food, convenience stores, and a Sumesa grocery store. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, and another one adjacent to it on the other side; it is only open from 7AM -2PM. I walked to Paseo de la Reforma and Centro Historico, or if you're not a walker, Ubers are readily available. My room was large, and divided into three parts; bedroom; dressing room with clothing rack, full-length mirror, and sink; and bathroom with a large shower. The water was hot, and had good pressure. The bed was comfortable, and there was an outlet near the headboard so I could easily charge my electronics. Wifi was excellent. The room, including the dressing room, was very dim. There were no bedside lamps, just a light attached to the wall above the bed, and a small lamp hanging over the TV. There was a large picture window in the room, which helped with lighting, but I didn't open the curtains completely for privacy reasons. My room faced the street, but I heard very little street noise. Likewise, I did not hear noise from adjacent rooms or other guests, either. The biggest drawback to my stay was how cold the rooms were, almost inexplicably so. During the day the outside temp was in the low to mid-70's F (~23-24 C), but the room felt like it was about 60 degrees (16 C) or less. At night the room temperature felt like it was near-freezing. I got an extra blanket, which helped a little, but not enough. As large as the room is, it could easily accommodate a mini-fridge, but there wasn't one. There was no coffee maker, tea kettle, or microwave either, and none available in the lobby. The room prices for this hotel fluctuate a lot, and are much pricier if you book on short notice. I only paid $27 USD total per night, including tax, but I have seen instances where it was double that. I think the room was a good bargain for the price I paid, but not if you pay much more than that. If you don't mind cold rooms, and can get a room at a reasonable price, then I recommend staying here. Unfortunately, the icy rooms were a deal breaker for me, and I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I have visited Mexico city more times, but since I have tried Grand Fiesta America there is no other place to stay especially if you need to be near a Polanco area, where I had some business meetings. Hotel is quite modern equipped. Some of big Hotel chains in Mexico city had some 90s look, which is not the case of Grand Fiesta Americana. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff really friendly and flexible. I have been there more than one time and to my surprise some of the staff on the 16th floor recognize me and get me quite warm welcome. Some of the staff works there for more years which means that the management treat them well which is a good sign. I will be definitely be back in near future.

I give this hotel 5 stars for some very simple reasons. It's got a good rate, it's a new building, the employees were friendly, the rooms comfortable and generally very clean. Bedding was fantastic, towels of decent quality, and the amenities were a good brand. (CO Bigelow). I took away a start because they list themselves on Orbitz and Expedia as a ”VIP Access” hotel for people who have elite status with Orbitz (or Expedia) of which I am Platinum. They did not offer any upgrade, late check-out, or even mention that I was a Platinum member of Orbitz or that they participate in the VIP Elite program. Sort of disappointing and they shouldn't be listed as a VIP Elite Hotel with Orbitz or Expedia if they're not going to honor what they said they would. (Because listing themselves this way helps them attract more customers such as myself.) Be more honest Fiesta Americana Viaducto Aeropuerto hotel.

This is a very economical hotel in Mexico City. It is ideally located between the Cologne Monument and the Plaza de la Revolution. The room was small, but spotless, the staff was friendly and there was a small restaurant outside the lobby that tasted very positive. The mattress is very soft, comparable to a zero-pressure mattress in a certain season. I have nothing to ask for when I can lie down comfortably for two days. . Hygienic: very clean, much cleaner than domestic chain hotels at the same price. Environment: Very quiet, no noise. Service: I arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening and left around 3 o'clock in the morning. The front desk intimately called a taxi for me. It was ten minutes and I liked it.

Fantastic stay with club lounge privileges. Fair warning to Bonvoy Platinum and Titanium members (Ambassadors you better know the drill with this brand, otherwise your handlers have been carting your carcass on a handcart from property to property while you’ve been under the influence) lounge access is NOT included unless you pay for it. The groveling from a previous reviewer was pathetic! Now that that’s out of the way, what a muy bien experience! Food and beverage presentations in the club lounge were superior to any other Ritz lounge we’ve visited in North America. Alyssa leads a first rate team with Francisco and Michelle as all stars. Hot entrees were present even between the breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings. We were upgraded to a corner suite. Impressed with the space, layout and electric curtains. Bathroom was superb with separate bathtub and shower. Only complaint was entitled guests allowing screaming children running amuck in the hallways first thing in the morning. And a neighboring guest listening to loud movies on his balcony whilst smoking cancer sticks. Hope he endured a handsome fine for his behavior. But he probably didn’t. Enjoyed the walking proximity to Chapultepec Park with its many fine museums. Service in the restaurant was also excellent. Looking forward to our next stay.

This was our second stay at this property, this time with another couple (who also loved it here) to celebrate my birthday. As always, the room was super clean, bright and comfy. Love the fact that it has a full kitchen so we can cook/warm-up/store food if we don't feel like going out. The bed has thick comforters and four pillows to snuggle into. There is plenty of hot water, a cute little balcony for sipping morning coffee and a mini-split AC (at least in our room - I believe some rooms don't have it, so be sure to check). The location is perfect, within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, shops, la Reforma, etc. And it's surprisingly quiet given its location. I prefer this property to other places I have stayed at in CDMX over the years in part due to it being a more business traveler/long-stay oriented property. This means that the guests are usually well-mannered and quiet, and any type of obnoxious behavior (screaming kids, loud parties, drunken guests) is not tolerated. There is also no restaurant, thus cutting down on the noise level even more. Wonderful. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the personalized service by the concierge (and one-man welcoming committee) Javier. He is a real gem and goes out of his way to ensure your stay is perfect. He and the staff even gifted me a bottle of wine for my birthday! Such a lovely detail. He will immediately take care of any issues (minor as they typically are at this hotel) like getting a dish sponge, more soap or a TV cable (did someone steal it???) brought up to the room. And he will be more than happy to make any arrangements you might need, always with a smile on his face (well, smiling eyes, in any case, on account of the mask!). Thanks again to everyone at MX Grand Suites for our highly enjoyable stay. We will be back.

I was pleased that this hotel opened recently in the same block as my cousin's apartment. The hotel is beautiful, with every modern amenity. It is an all suite hotel, so I had a spacious area with a kitchen, desk, sofa and breakfast bar as well as a large bedroom and bathroom with a rain shower, with which I had no trouble as did a previous guest. There were locks on all three doors, so even though I felt very safe in any case, this was extra security. The gentleman on the 3-11 shift was especially helpful and gracious. My only complaint was a yappy dog in the neighborhood who made his presence known for a couple of hours every evening. At less than $600 for a 6 night stay, I would certainly return as it is near shopping, restaurants and convenient transportation. Bravo, J. Towers.

This is a modern designed hotel where the decor is in good condition and common areas and rooms are clean. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows and there is a large walk in shower, which I like. There is even a small fridge in the room which is whisper quiet. As the Hilton Garden is connected to a Doubletree (the share the same driveway) the hotel is full service, including room service, which was prompt and the food hot and wine from the Doubletree’s collection. There are numerous restaurant options just down the hill. Of course, you will then need to walk back up the hill at altitude! There is a large and pleasant breakfast area on the lower level and snacks can be purchased in the lobby. The only negative during my stay was a TV which was virtually unwatchable. After about ten minutes that picture became pixilated and the sound intermittent. It did not appear to be the feed, but my particular monitor. The front desk said they did send a technician to repair it, but I never saw any improvement. So, I could only watch by turning it off, waiting a few minutes and turning back on. That would buy me another few minutes of viewing time. Anyway, although the guide said there was CNN in English, there was not. Only Fox (which I could not watch for more than a minute anyway 😊) or the BBC, which repeats itself hourly it seems. Aside from the TV, which I suspect is a one off, I will return.

Be Mate Masaryk is an excellent choice for both business and leisure. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the location is convenient and safe, with easy access to attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The staff were accommodating and friendly—helping us with the washing machine and carrying our bags up the stairs when the elevator wasn’t working—and the daily breakfast was homemade and healthy. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it.

I missed my flight to Panama City. As Coldplay was in town, all hotels within an 8 k radius were booked solid. By chance I got a great cab driver who took me to this hotel. What a treasure, a lovely little room, very clean with a restaurant and close to a number of other restaurants and little shops. I have always been nervous of Mexico City Center but there were a lot of police presence so it was a great surprise adventure.

We found it by chance but we finished staying 6 nights. The hotel has a lift which is very good and its rooms are very comfortable, although they are not large. They do not offer breakfast but it is not really necessary because on the corner they sell a great cake at a good price a lady that is in the morning and is also a office area and there are many places close. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.

Located on the Reforma Avenue, the hotel is less than 1 km from the Museum of Anthropology and the Angel Independence Column. It is conveniently located about 8 minutes on foot from Metro Line 1. The breakfast at the hotel tastes good and has local features, but the variety is small. The buffet breakfast has two options, the regular version and the local special edition. Unfortunately, even the second one is not very rich. I tried the dinner at the hotel and it tasted very good. The price is slightly more expensive than the average restaurant. The red velvet cake sold in the hotel's bakery tastes good and is inexpensive and worth recommending. The hotel's swimming pool is relatively small, the gym is not very big, and there are few people in the evening.

This place in Mexico is not very good, but this apartment makes me very satisfied. The landlord is super nice, enthusiastic, and the key English is good. Mexicans don't know English very annoying. So it is worth everyone to live. The fruit milk drink prepared by the boss is very good, and the kitchen is very good. I fried steak every day, very satisfied
