I want to be fair to the hotel but we had one thing after another with this place. Firstly we arrived and couldn't get hold of customer service so we could put our bags in the luggage room. Spent 30 minutes trying to get through and in the end was given the wrong code! Luckily one of the staff helped us out after an hour of waiting around. Then when our room was ready we went up and it had not been cleaned. Old wet towels on the floor and dirty sheets. They found another room, but again we had to call (no front desk) - so another 15 minutes on the phone. The response was ”I don't think we have another room”!!! Finally got a clean room - well relatively clean. Room is okay. Small but nice to have the fridge and kitchenette. Bathroom is ridiculously tiny. Overall not great. it felt like a hostel more than an hotel. Area is not great at night and we came back to a dozen men hanging out the front smoking.

My husband, two adult sons, sister, her husband and I travelled here for my sisters 50th birthday. Did not know what to expect from the hotel as is in the city centre so could be hit or miss. Did not have to worry at all. The staff are absolutely amazing and could not do enough for us. The buffet breakfast set us up for the day. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a mini fridge. Also small ironing board and iron in the rooms should you wish you iron! Water on tap available in the lobby, in the restaurant, in the gym and in the lounge and all had a choice of still or sparkling water. Along with a variety of Nespresso coffee pods. Could not tell that the hotel was in the middle of the centre. Brilliant location and place to chill with the train station within walking distance. If we were coming back to Oslo, this is where we would stay as everything you need and want is close by. Made wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

I booked this hotel based on reviews saying that it was quite centrally located. And for the most part it is. The central train station is a 17-minute walk with luggage. But once you get to the hotel, there are steps and curbs. We came in from the airport in a taxi. (Avoid. The fare can give you a heart attack or a fine dining meal.) My luggage had broken and so I had to lug my, well, that's the reason they call it luggage. It's quite a walk from the taxi stand. We had to circle the hotel as the driver was not familiar. The rooms are small painted black and purple/reddish that seemed to be intentionally dramatic as the hotel is across the passageway from a theatre. It gave the room a dark tone and an Alfred-Hitchcock-Psycho sense. The toilet is in a smaller room separate from the bathroom sink and shower. I thought that the hotel tried to compensate. The breakfast was the best in my visit to seven cities. Then, included in the hotel package, was an afternoon tea and a dinner. The dinner was homey--salad, soup, fish, fries and soft drinks. If you are so minded, it could be a dinner. Staff were helpful. We had an issue with the room and after explaining the staff said: I do not really understand but let me come up and see how I can help. In contrast, some staff in other hotels have simply shrugged their dhoulders.

I would really have liked to have given this a five star review, because the reception staff were super friendly, making sure I knew where the tourist attractions were and how to get there on my first day and letting me use the toilet when I popped back on my last day well after I’d checked out, as well as giving me a room with a phenomenal view of the fjord, but a couple of things took the shine off for me. One was the lack of air con. I mis-understood how hot Oslo could be, which is kind of on me and not the hotel BUT the DIY open window and fan arrangement weren’t entirely satisfactory, and while I was in my room, I never felt entirely comfortable with how hot I was. I guess the opposite could also be true if you can’t control how hot or cold your room gets in winter (when I assume my imaginings of snow drifts is actually a thing). Secondly was the breakfast. I can in no way fault the food - smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, bread, carrot cake (always a joy, whatever the time of day), melon, cheese and ham, but trying to find a table was sometimes impossible. It was particularly difficult for me as a solo traveller. It involved getting up early, crossing my fingers and piling everything on my plate in one go, just in case. Some days it was fine, but one day, after walking what felt like the entire length of the shopping centre getting increasingly dispondent, I had to perch on the end of a table with a group of pensioners who were staying there after two weeks travelling up and down Scandinavia together on train. Fortunately I am mature enough to be able to make small talk, but I can see how it wouldn’t go down so well with everyone else. Coffee was also a hit hit and miss - I was only offered some two out of four days. These little quirks are a real shame, because the location is great (handy for the train and city centre tourist attractions), and as I say, the staff on reception were lovely (and based on what I heard while I was standing in line, some of the other guests can be quite demanding). If I’m in Oslo again, I would definitely consider staying here again (but maybe bring a handheld fan or multiple layers of clothing, depending on the season) and maybe avoiding the breakfast.

Super location. Right next to oslo city mall and central station and all transport and entertainment food options. This is a modern hotel (or very thoroughly renovated). Entrance was very busy or maybe because I was there at around 2 pm. Very nice looking lobby with lots of seating spaces and good vibes. An Andy Warhol is a. Ice touch. Check in was smooth but room was not ready so I kept my bags in their bag room. It was ready when I came back at around 240. Elevator is a combination of using your card and entering your floor on a touch screen so don’t just hop in with someone else. Room was really modern, hip and user friendly. Smart tv, lots of storage spaces and big bathroom. The view was of the inner courtyard so not much. Bed was very comfortable and really overall liked the room a lot. Depending on your room number it could be a bit of a walk from the elevator so keep that in mind. I tried out the basement level which had sauna, pool, gym. Gym looked good but didn’t use and the sauna was very nice. The pool is round, very small and about the only negative of the hotel. Forget laps, you can sort of float around but even that becomes a problem if 2 or 3 people are in there. I wanted to see the views from the top so went to their restaurant and must say had a wonderful time. I wrote a separate review on Norda but suffice to say it was well worth the visit just for the views alone and the food was very good as well. Finally the breakfast was something else. Honestly I doubt if anyone can try out all the dishes as there are so many. Quality stuff I must add, different types of salmon, avocado halves(!) and what not. Really something to behold. Overall though definitely not cheap, I really liked the modern aesthetic, the prime location and excellent room facilities and the breakfast and Norda were just icing on the cake.

Hotel location is very good, next to the train station, the service is also very in place, I will set a person's bed is 20m2 big bed room, the result is told that it is a single bed room (the cheapest file only 15m2). Due to the midnight in China, the hotel also helped me upgrade in the spirit of people-oriented. This kind of thing is not the first time on the website. My friend used to have a similar thing overseas. It took a long time to get it done and delayed the trip. If the guest staying in English is not English, it is awful. We stayed here for three nights this week. We checked in late and were given room 501. It was an ok room but the windows were high up on the walls and difficult to see out. Since we had booked a superior room we asked to switch to a better room in the morning. The guy at the front desk seemed very bothered by our request and quickly said without checking that they were fully booked and we should just spend our time outdoors and not in the room. Very unprofessional attitude. I know help is hard to get but this guy should be furloughed. Later that same day we asked another gentleman at the front desk if we could change rooms. He immediately said he would look into it and gave us room 239 with large windows overlooking the plaza and Karl Johan Gate. I wish I had his name. He was a black person, and should be given a raise. Takk skal du ha. Very conveniently located with access from inside the train station. Just walk towards Karl Johan Gate and it’s on the left just before you exit the station. Easy walking, train, tram, ferry access to all the things to see. Excellent breakfast with a large array of hot and cold choices. We’d stay here again in room 239 not 501.

We stayed here for four nights over the Oslo Marathon weekend. We were lucky to have a superior room (only four on each floor by the look of things) and so had plenty of space - indeed our bathroom seemed to be much the same size as the standard room. The bed was very comfy and the room was quiet, with the window facing an internal space. Slept well and pigged out on Sky's coverage of the Queen's death when in the room. Note no tea/coffee/fridge/safe etc in room but all these were available on the ground floor, Breakfast (included in our online offer) was great - the usual Scandi buffet with the only problem being holding back and not overeating. The hotel has a good central location on the west side of central and we found that we could walk everywhere no problem. All in all a great stay and we would certainly consider staying again were we ever to revist Oslo, which I hope we do.

We stayed in a business room in the main palace. The room was wide, clean, light, soundproofed, well furnished and provided with everything: towel, hot coffee machine, tea and tea boiler, chibate, shower and shampoo cream, true phon, frigobar, The bathroom was very large, modern, with double shower and was clean. The very comfortable bed, in the Scandinavian style and also clean, large, with double coats, applies with USB grip, soft lights and faces a large LED TV with Norwegian channels. There was a chair and a desk with a chair, a mirror, and a courtesy light. In the very well furnished area of the restaurant, you could have a buffet breakfast that was excellent, you can find almost everything and the very kind insights; the only sin was that there were too many people approaching food without. The latter were very helpful, even though they were sometimes a little sweet, no one of them spoke Italian but it was not a problem. The location is not very close to the centre, it is a time ranging from 20 to 30 minutes, we were well with the bus that stops right in front, the distances gave us no problem. The price compared to competition was advantageous. I strongly recommend booking standard rooms in dependance 2, on the opposite side. It was a pleasure to stay at the hotel thon.

The room is not small, the bedside table and table are small, not commensurate with the room area, the bathroom is large, but unfortunately the glass door of the shower room is not well designed, the water will still be immersed. The advantage is that the landscape is good, the breakfast is good, and the breakfast area is cute. The overall service is ordinary, not professional and procrastinating.

The hotel is a solid four. Good: 1. Great location with free parking. Not in the very center, but everything can be easily reached on foot. Oslo is an ideal city for walking at least in the summer. 2. Very decent breakfast. Three rooms, lots of seating. Minuses: 1. We lived in room 210. Kavrolin dirty, evoked a feeling of disgust. The shower is leaking no matter how tightly you close it. After every shower, the entire bathroom is wet. 3. No ”welcome” bottle of water. When you travel a lot, you get used to it, but in Norway this is not accepted, I guess. Then we were in three more hotels and there was no complimentary water anywhere.

Clarion Hotel Savoy has got mixed reviews, but our 3-night stay was really pleasant and I would definitely book it again. The hotel has old-time charm, and though the standard room is quite small (compared to the huge bed, which occupied most of the room), it was functional with a beautiful bathroom. The location of Hotel Savoy in the city centre is excellent and unless you want to explore Oslo on foot, you can easily do it by tram or bus. The best part of the stay was the delicious high-quality breakfast and ”light” dinner, which turned out to be a 3-course meal (warm main, soup and various salads). I don’t eat meat so I just asked the staff member in passing if there was any vegetarian warm-dish option and the next night they had prepared delicious chickpea curry as an extra dish for me. That’s what I call real customer service!😀 Also, the afternoon final (coffee and cake) was a plus in this expensive city. The only (tiny) minuses were a very small selection of TV channels and (in my personal opinion) uncomfy pillows (one gigantic, the other flat and lumpy). But after strolling around Oslo for many hours and enjoying the evening meal, those issues didn’t prevent us from sleeping well in our quiet room facing the inner yard.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. The bathroom has floor heating, which is very comfortable. The balcony is very large, 3-4 square meters visually. Food: The breakfast was very generous, I didn't shoot the whole thing, and a bunch of sausage bacon and meat for the English breakfast. I have breakfast at the hotel every day and it's great. Service: Five points for service, the staff will greet you when they see you, and the room attendants are all. Price: It is not expensive in Norway. Considering the location, facilities, services, etc., I think the price/performance ratio is OK.

The hotel looks cool and follows the Internet celebrity route. The details are very rough. Every time you use the toilet, you have to close the lid manually. The flush black sanitary ware looks good but the porcelain surface is of very poor quality and is not clean. The hotel is generally good, there is a parking place at the entrance for loading and unloading luggage, the parking lot is underground, and a small door not far to the right of the hotel's main entrance enters. Note that the door and driveway are particularly narrow, you must drive in carefully. The parking fee is expensive, 250 crowns per night, but cheaper than outside. But there were few parking spaces. When we arrived at the hotel later in the afternoon, a waitress said there was no parking space underground, so I went outside to the nearby public parking lot to park. After I unloaded my luggage and checked in, I took a chance to go to the basement level and found that there was still a vacant seat. I immediately went to the front desk to handle the parking procedures. In the next few days, I walked around the city on foot. Without moving a car, I walked to the Sculpture Park, the Royal Palace, the National Opera House, and the Munch Museum. Hotel rooms are more comfortable, breakfast is great, there are salmon, two ways. Hardly ever seen salmon in hotels in Sweden and Denmark. In short, everything was satisfactory.

It’s very near to the Royal Palace, museums, the street food market, the piers ans a 10 minute walk from the Central Station. If you like to walk, you can walk for 40 minutes to Frogner Park. You may never have to use the transit system. My room was comfortable with its own bathroom (it’s not a given in Scandinavia). It had a window on the street. So it was noisy during the day but quiet late night. When I checked in, they couldn’t find my name. But this happens to me often when I don’t book directly with the hotel. The reception staff was very friendly, especially the morning (blond) lady and the afternoon summer intern. I did not like the breakfast they served. Might think of having it elsewhere. The room on the 2 nd floor was strangely spacy, unpleasant, not clean. The bathroom also very strange, big but ...never more. The dinner at the upper restaurant had one positive: a nice view at the city. The pork ribbes heavily ”workable” by fork and knife,we had to eat with fingers!? So,the best at the end: the breakfast buffet was rich, the breakfast room quite pleasant. Conclusion: not satisfied and never come again

The location is great, right in the centre of Reykjavík, 5 minutes walk to reach the main attractions. The room was clean and tidy and there was a complimentary breakfast offered which was great.

good hotel in the city center, 15 minutes from the railway station, 25 minutes from the DFDS pier, currency exchange 15 minutes on foot, metro and public transport nearby. we arrived late, settled without problems, the room is small but cozy. , all is clear. everything you need is in stock. liked the full wall window to the beautiful buildings of Oslo. breakfast is good, breakfast until 9.30, we came to closing, and stayed until 10.30, everything was in order. hotel recommend .

We were satisfied with our stay at the hotel! Spacious clean room, decent bathroom, kettle, cups, coffee/tea. The windows overlooked the street with a tram, but this did not interfere with sleep. Good location, literally 10 minutes to the town hall) Excellent breakfast, varied buffet.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotell Bondeheimen! The rooms were clean and cozy. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for us. We walked everywhere, except for Vigeland Sculpture Park. We took a tram but the stop was really close to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was incredible! It was full of delicious foods that lasted me until dinner. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fantastic. See separate reviews for Kaffistova. I would highly recommend this hotel if you wanna be in heart of it all but without the noise.

I have mixed feelings here. The location was really good for us (close to the library, where I was working, and close to Aker Brygge and the city centre). The staff were also friendly and tried their best to resolve issues quickly. We never got the heating fixed and our flat was extremely hot for our entire stay, and though they brought us a tiny fan, we were quite warm, especially at night. However, I agree with other reviewers here, who noted that the flats are pretty small and that for the price, you'd expect a bit more. I think for stays over 5 or so days, they should automatically clean, rather than charging for it. They should also offer more toilet paper and kitchen towels instead of expecting you to buy it, and they could provide aluminium foil and a few other basics (again, given the price we're paying). I'd like to see refillable soap containers, in order to be more eco-friendly, rather than small plastic bottles that they presumably throw away. And I think they could easily offer a vegan breakfast (you know, bread with vegetables isn't that hard to prepare...). In general, though, we had a good stay.

I spent a night at Comfort Hotel Xpress Central Station Oslo, and while it's a no-frills accommodation, it's worth mentioning its cleanliness and thoughtful amenities. The heated bathroom floor was a pleasant surprise, providing an extra touch of comfort. Since it's a straightforward hotel, there's not much to elaborate on, but for a one-night stay, it served its purpose well. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, with friendly and polite staff readily available to assist if needed
