I stayed two nights in November 2022. Hotel is in a good location in the phase 1 area of Hulhumale, many restaurants and shops nearby. Room was basic, but comfortable for the price point. Breakfast was very basic, but adequate. A/C worked well and there was hot water in the shower. The internet was wonky. It usually worked, but sometimes cut out. There was a voucher system that allowed for one device at a time, and using the voucher on the reception area network prevented using that same voucher on a higher floor (where the guest rooms are) network. The front desk guys were good about issuing another voucher as necessary, but it was a hassle to go down to the reception. For those going to/from the airport, there is a bus in Male, but tourists are not encouraged to use it (it is more complicated than it needs to be--you cannot buy tickets on the bus, you must buy them at stores or the post office or download an app that only locals have). Nevertheless, there is a bus stop close to this hotel, so you don't need to use a taxi. One of the front desk workers was great with advice or any questions about Hulhumale, but the other worker was only (overly) excited about calling a taxi (I needed to tell him 3 times that I ”didn't need a taxi, stop calling it”). It is one of the more affordable hotels in Male/Hulhumale, I would stay here again. 4/5

Stayed for two nights Pros: Compared with the surrounding prices, it’s much cheaper. Generally clean. The location is great. It’s only one block from the beach. There are also many small restaurants nearby. Cons: 1. I made an appointment for the airport pick-up but didn’t come. After waiting for half an hour, I called again, but said that we could not come, and we had to go by car. 2. It was generally clean, but there were small stains on the bed sheets and bath towels. 3. Said that the credit card machine was broken and could only accept cash. It was not fixed until the last day. 4. OK The former email asked the hotel to help book 1 DAY TOUR, but when I arrived, I found that there was no confirmation and the price was 10-20 yuan higher than the email (I asked the store next to H78 for a cheaper price, but I decided to trust the hotel and booked with the hotel at a more expensive price. However, I later found out that the store next to H78 is recommended to undertake the itinerary as a whole) If you don’t care about the details, you can check in

Wait for the bus under the sign of Bank of Malaysia on the right side of the airport, Take the direction of Hulhumale, the first stop is very long, get off at the station, Turn right at the 50-meter T-junction, Walk another 150 to 200 meters and you're here. No elevator. The conditions are average and fairly clean. Transit hotel is cost-effective.

We stayed here for one night before flying out. It was a very good stay. No frills, just what was needed for a transit stay. The room was clean, amenities were good, the included breakfast was great and the fact that they included one-way airport transport was a bonus. They were also flexible with check-in (possibly a factor being we travelled during non peak months). The one downside, if it matters, is that the property is not beach-facing. Though it's a 2 minute walk away. The locality itself is fabulous. The beach is great, a public park (with skate ramp!) is nearby, and there are several options for restaurants. It's a good budget pick for a hotel for a one-night (or more) stay. I'd certainly stay in Hulhumale again rather than the more crowded Male!

Wonderful ocean view room with balcony. Very spacious. The people who work there are very nice. The food options were surprisingly very good. I recommend the chicken noodles and chicken curry. The only con would be that the bathroom is very dim. It would be nice to have a mirror in the room since it’s dark in the bathroom. Would definitely return.

This is my 3rd visit in hulahmale. I have stayed in some other hotels too but this time white herb hotel was the best hotel Excellent hospitality. Food was yummy always ready to serve. White herb family( staff) is brilliant. No complaints no suggestion everything was just perfect. Mr Falik was so helpful nd restaurant staff was so polite. Definitely will visit again. Stayed here for 8 weeks and it was a brilliant. All the staff are very warm and welcoming and simply can't do enough for you. The rooms are very well presented and immaculate. Beach is a stone throw away aswell. Gordon the chef serves up very good food aswell. Mr Hugo is always available to sort anything out, the whole team were superb. Hope to see you all again soon

The first day said that it was an airport pick-up. We waited for half an hour at the airport and didn't come. It’s not worthwhile to pay in dollars! Half a day is enough. Don't go by boat, just take a taxi and go to the China-Malaysia Friendship Bridge in the past. When we went back, we exchanged the Lafia currency in Malé. We could rent it back to the hotel with only 100 Lafite. Equivalent to RMB 50.

We stayed here for the second time before catching our flight home after a dive trip. It is fine for one night, the room was clean and the air con worked great. This island is man made, so space is at a premium. We booked a twin in the hope that we might have a bit more bed space, but the floor space was not really big enough to have both our dive bags open at the same time. However the staff were absolutely delightful. The rooftop restaurant was really nice and the food and service was great. We had to leave at 5.15 and there was a lovely breakfast spread out with yogurt and juices and fruit beautifully presented. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel is right next to the beach, gorgeous sea view from the room. The hotel staff Amy, was friendly and ever ready to give the best recommendation for a few hour walk in male, from shopping to where to shop for souvenirs and she also recommended us to take a short ferry to villemale which only cost less than $1 to and fro from Male jetty to the island. Great advice that just keep our time worth staying in Amber beach hotel.

No frills stay, centrally located, everything was walking distance, well maintained hotel, I must thank Roshan Dilshad and his wonderful, polite and courteous staff for making me feel like I was at home, very attentive service, Roshan even helped me to book few day trips, my flight was at 9pm, I was supposed to check out at 12pm, they kindly let me stay until 5:30pm, next time if I visit Maldives, definitely I will choose this hotel.

I stayed only for one night and during my whole stay construction was going on. It was not so pleasant when you tired to hear that noice. However, reception staff are all super polite and friendly and helpful all the time. I requested a late checkout which I was provided. Furthermore it was a Friday and I need to visit mosque to pray but I did not have proper uniform but hotel staff helped me to sort out this case and I am really glad for that. Room was super clean and super cozy, I loved it. However, towel was only one for 2 people, I did not know why. As my partner was flying abroad, I was the only one who used that towel. At the end of my stay, I left from this hotel with a full of positive emotions and honestly I recommend to all. Minor things can happen even in 5* luxuries resorts as well, as per my work experience. You will not regret during your stay there. Thank you very much for whole staff. Sorry that I could not mention any names of Reception and concierge guy.

The most basic room type I set for 580 is a city view bed with two dolls. As a result, the top floor suite has two balconies. The space of the four rooms downstairs is only one suite. Spacious, my son sleeps in a small bed in the living room, there is also a sofa in the living room, but the hygiene is not bad, the towels are very smoky, and the floor is very dusty. The couple living downstairs in the second-floor city view room said that they did not dare to sleep at night because they were afraid that someone would climb up. I have never seen a more disgusting place. This cannot be called a hotel. Bed linen is an incomplete set. Instead of a blanket, a synthetic blanket without a sheet, a synthetic towel. It’s like you’re in a barn: everything is tattered, there are traces of leaks, everything is completely miserable and destroyed at the price of a European hotel. Everything evokes a feeling of disgust. I don't recommend it to anyone.

The hotel in Male is expensive, there is no way to get this price. The so-called sea view also sees the sea through the window of the corridor. The room hygiene can barely accept it. It is convenient to buy some snacks. It is better to change the local currency. Otherwise, it is not worthwhile to use the US$1.10 directly.

I stayed there in a twin room with my friend for 1 night. The stay was good. However after the check out I received a call from the hotel and the guy who spoke to me was very rude. He told me that we did not inform them about the dirty towels and now their boss will be angry. I told them that we requested for room clean but they said it will be provided on the next day. And that Bangladeshi guy said we caused them a loss by making the towels dirty. I asked them if they don't have any towels in their stock and this guy hung up. It was so offensive and so unethical to call their customer and speak like that. Besides no hospitality establishment staff can call to their customer and say we cause them a loss or give lectures like that. I know about this because me and my friend who stayed with me, we work in the same industry. This was the first and last time there. We will never go back to hathaa beach again.

We stayed here twice on our way in and out of the Maldives. we were made to feel very welcome and the shuttle met us and took us back to the airport on schedule. The room was nice with a view over the sea but still not too noisy from the road below. the bed was very comfortable and AC efficient and quiet. We loved the breakfast and had an enjoyable dinner on the roof top restaurant one evening.

”We arrived on October 1st, taking a late-night flight, so we decided to stay on the mainland and travel to the resort the next day. When we arrived, it was pouring rain, and we were very happy with this decision. Our reservation included free transportation, which proved to be extremely convenient. Prior to our arrival, the hotel had provided us with instructions, and as per those instructions, Andrew, the hotel manager and an all-rounder, picked us up from the airport. We noticed long queues for taxis, but we didn't have to endure that, thanks to the complimentary transportation. It was a significant advantage of booking with this hotel, and the drive to the hotel was only about 10 minutes. The hotel check-in process went smoothly, and all the standard facilities were fully available. We had dinner through our reservation, and it was one of the best meals we've had, both in terms of quality and affordability. The next day, the hotel coordinated with our resort and arranged the drop-off for us by 12:00 PM. The organization was excellent, and special thanks go to Andrew, who ensured that our short stay was highly memorable. This is the best place to stay on the mainland before you head to your dream resort.”

Stayed here for 8 weeks and it was a brilliant. All the staff are very warm and welcoming and simply can't do enough for you. The rooms are very well presented and immaculate. Beach is a stone throw away aswell. Gordon the chef serves up very good food aswell. Mr Hugo is always available to sort anything out, the whole team were superb. Hope to see you all again soon

It was a great experience. We were picked up from the airport within 10 minutes of calling. Check in was great - greeted with some juice while we enjoyed the patio. The room was as promised - comfortable beds, nice little patio. We enjoyed the breakfast as well - we were able to sample some local food. My wife took a fall on the sidewalk and scrapped her knee. The staff was so nice. The rushed to get the medical kit and insisted on properly cleaning and dressing the scrape. I wish I could remember her name - she was so caring - you'll know here when you get there. She has amazing hazel/green eyes and kind smile. Thank you!

The airport transport was super smooth. The staff received us at the airport soon as we came out of the arrival gate, and within minutes we were escorted to the transfer vehicle with no hassle. It was sufficient a night's rest before we can check-in to our resort the next day. Very satisfied stay overall :)

The hotel is strategically located and within walking distance to bus stations, Fahim Plaza, restaurants and the apartment we booked overlook the beautiful sea. Emerald green water that calm the nerves is a sight that is so welcoming from the balcony of the apartment we booked. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and well kept. The washing machine and kitchen made our stay even more pleasant and at ease. The manager, Unais, is super helpful and very prompt in accomodating to our requests and queries. He even sourced out the best island hopping guides for us. I highly recommend this hotel as it is elderly and kids friendly I will definitely come back to this hotel if I visit Maldives again. I was disappointed when i stayed at the Hotel & the experience did not meet my expectations. I stayed for 2 nights in different rooms, because of the smell from sewerage after complain they changed to another room and unfortunately the second room also same cannot breathe because of smell from sewerage. The beds were extremely hard and the television didn't work either. When I complained about television they said they check and fix it but no one came to fix it. Hot water kettle was provided without tea and coffee, when I request coffee they said it’s not available.

The hotel staff was absolutely delightful and extremely friendly. Special thank you to Ash and Yejin for looking after me and my son during our stay. It was just me and my son travelling so the activities they have for kids everyday helped keep us busy and entertained.
