|27.48km from city centerThe condos are very nice. If you want to be in Ko Olina, this is where to be. It is smaller than the other major resorts in the area. There are two buildings, the Beach and the Ocean. This is the Beach and is behind the Ocean. We met many owners while there. They gave us the pluses and minuses of each building. Each condo is privately owned. Hence, no two are exactly alike. They all have their own furniture, etc. I would also state Penthouse is used for floors 10-16 (no 13 floors). Noise travels from balcony to balcony very easily. The condo is as advertised. Note that NO umbrellas are allowed in the lagoons, so don't drag them to the beach. There are rules for the condo for parking, towels on patios, etc. It didn't bother us, but many guests complained about it while we were there. The workout room is well-appointed. I enjoyed the wet and dry saunas in the ladies locker room. Every night there was a singer song writer at the little bar. Usually, we could hear it from the patio. As others had mentioned, no restaurant was on site, but that was a big deal for us. We would love to come back and stay here. The staff at the condo is accommodating as well. We had a check-in issue, but that was our owner's fault, and they tried their best to make it a non-event.

|3.48km from city centerWe had 4 nights at the Waikiki Monarch and found it to be a strange experience. We booked it through Booking.com and stayed in apartment 2703A. On the positive side, our apartment had an amazing view of Waikiki, right out to the ocean, as well as along the canal – very inspiring! The location also was very good, situated on the western end of Wikiki. It was only a 10min walk to the beach and about 10min over to Ala Moana Mall and beach park. There was a good internet-enabled TV with about every channel and streaming service you could want – really a nice setup. On the negative side, the apartment was not very well cleaned upon our arrival, especially the floor. A couple of the dining chairs and the couch were covered in stains and were downright disgusting. The apartment was lacking a few basics, such as bedside cabinets and dressers/drawers for storing clothes. I had to lay out all my clothes on the floor along the hallway wall. We also felt the lighting was quite dim in the evenings. The kitchen was small and outfitted with only the basics. The kitchen faucet was loose and about ready to fall off – a little basic maintenance would’ve been nice. Another thing that was odd was that there was no reception or other onsite staff which could be called on if required. We were told to collect our key from a little lock box. We arrived at around 1pm, and since we weren’t allowed to check in until the very late hour of 4pm, we asked if we could store our bags and were told we actually had to pay for bag storage ($5/bag) for the 3 hours. It’s the first time we’ve ever had the experience of having to pay for bag storage at the hotel while waiting for check-in! Not impressed! In any case, we won’t be staying here anytime soon. Not recommended – there are so many far better places to stay in Waikiki. Don’t make the mistake we did.

Also, a super fun bar (Wang Chung's) inside the lobby, one of the best in Waikiki. After that...blah. The bed was comfortable, except for the fact that my feet hung off the bed....and I'm just a medium-tall person. Pancakes at IHOP thicker then their pillows...and I'm barely exaggerating. TV never worked. There were big rainstorms, which was their excuse....but after 3 days of bright sunshine, still no tv. Even then, there's so little furniture in the room that you can't even see the TV cuz the lamp covers it up...you have to place the lamp on the floor to see the TV, when it works. Finally...manager....PLEASE stop pulling your mask down to speak with guests. You should know better.

*Environmental location, next to Wakiki Beach and on the main road, it is very convenient to be connected in all directions. Convenience stores and restaurants, trolly stations, public beaches, and zoos are all very close and within walking distance.
*Room facilities, the hotel has a history of a hundred years, so it is very stylish, but the city view room in the Diamond Building is so bad! ! ! ! Not as good as the new 3 star hotel rooms. (Pictured below are the benefits of room upgrade with the Marriott Platinum Card. I booked the cheapest room, but it turned out that booking through a third party did not provide any membership benefits. In the Maui fire, the hotel was full, and I wanted to upgrade temporarily but there was no room). The room is old, with an area of less than 20 square meters. Morning and night, I am woken up either by cars on the road or by the phone in the next room. A very bad experience!
* Service, remind the guests to check the bill carefully. After staying for 5 nights, the wrong bill was charged on 4 days. They checked it out one by one when they checked out, and the wrong money was refunded after 4 days.
In short, don't try to be cheap when booking a room. The small and shabby room type is not as good as staying in Hyatt or Marriott. The price/performance ratio is too low!

The kitchen was an absolute plus to our stay, making it much easier to accommodate our young kids during down time in the hotel. They had plenty of room to play/hang out comfortably without being on top of our stuff in the comfortable bedroom/king size bed. Parking was convenient, and the walkability to important kid stuff (ABC Store, Waikiki Wall, Honolulu Zoo, good food trucks). Absolutely would recommend and stay here again in the future with our young family.

This's the best experience i have. We arrived at the hotel on a Friday night around 7pm Hawaii time. Didn't expect they were doing fireworks around 8pm. I got to see it right from my window view. Omg.....i was breaking in tears where i haven't experience of fireworks this close before. I wish they allow video reviews in here where i can share my recording of the fireworks to you all. My daily views from my room are the best everyday and night throughout our stay. We walked around the beaches, restaurants and stores around the hotel area everynight before bed. Anyway, thank you for the awesome experience and memories. Love it so much and totally recommend.

|27.37km from city centerFirst off, we’ve been staying here for 18 years. We love the lagoons and it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We’re the “lay on the beach all day” type of family so this place is our favorite resort. Every room we’ve had through the years has been clean, wonderful views, except one time we had a parking lot view, which was fine since we’re at the beach most of the time. Cons: The pool chair hogs and check out time. They should really implement a system like other resorts. Most chairs are empty all day with a towel saving the spot and no one sitting there for hours. Our one time at the pool, we only got seats later in the afternoon at 3pm. Also check out time at 10am is way too early. Would be nice to check out at noon like other places. Now for the Pros, the resort and lagoons are beautiful. The water is warm, my teenagers like to snorkel at the end of the lagoon. We typically stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom villa, this past stay it was nice to see the Nai’a tower remodeled. Love the full kitchen and in room laundry/dryer. My daughter loves to participate in the daily resort activities - lei making, ti leaf bracelets and temporary tattoos. My son frequents the gym and it is 24 hours. Plus for the peloton bikes! Now for the staff. I love their aloha spirit, so warm and friendly. They are fantastic! I need to give a shout out to Melvin Ratto - Resort Ambassador. I met him in one of our past stays at the cabana hut. We came back another time, he remembered us as well. This past week, he personally came by our beach cabana to say hello! He really is the best, makes sure our stay is comfortable! Shannon at the bell desk is awesome, gave us some food recommendations which was nice. The cabana hut workers Kalai, Nathan, Jordan and Braedon, also super friendly, personable, great guys! Maintaining great attitudes for working in the heat all day. Our housekeeper Melban, very understanding for coming back at a later time to clean our room. Thanks to the staff for making our stay wonderful. We always have a great time staying here and hope to continue coming back.

The completeness of the trip is greatly enhanced by the scenery of the sea and sky that changes every moment in the morning/lunch/dinner.
The staff here are very friendly, and the shopping/restaurants are great, especially since it's in the center of the city. The sea can be reached on foot, so be sure to rent a sunbed/parasol/beach towel (free) on the first floor and go to Waikiki Beach 👍👍👍

The reason I chose this hotel is that I don't have to rent a car for a full-day tour such as Oahu Island Tour, Turtle Snorkeling, and Hawaii Folk Show Ruau, so I can sleep, so I pay hotel blood and stay at a famous hotel. Because there was no need. I was in the Wicolona Village, such as Big Ilan for 4 days, but I couldn't go to the hotel lounge or swimming pool because I was doing activities all day, and I couldn't see the famous dolphins, but I paid for the hotel blood and slept. It was so wasteful that I got this accommodation in Oahu, which is convenient for transportation, and I was satisfied with the choice. However, a very historical incident occurred and I filmed a movie that I will never forget. I laugh now, but how cool I was. On the first day, I was willing to eat beer and steak in the pub, so I left the card key at the hostel, and in the evening, there was no front desk, so no one opened the door. I can't contact the emergency contact network. . . Eventually, I asked for help with Trip.com online chat, but the hotel person said that I had to wait to read the email ㅠ. We went around the beach for 3 hours to find the bathroom, but we couldn't do anything, so we went back to our accommodation. On the roadside, we were scared to find out where the homeless appeared and started sleeping. I went into the police station, contacted the consulate, said, entered another hotel, said, his head was messy, and 30 minutes from the door of the hostel, he said, ”I'm glad that the manager was in the building and came out sleeping.” Opened the door. I saw an emergency email from Trip.com or was caught by the sound of the phone we were hanging on, so I could go to the hostel at 12 o'clock. Never leave your card key. The downside of this hostel was that it was hot, but I gave a thin blanket and slept with only a quilt. The advantage is that it is narrow because it is a window, but it is less stuffy and has a microwave, coffee maker, black tea, dish spoon fork, shower supplies, enough towels, etc. Rooms are not cleaned, laundry facilities are available, and chair boards to be taken to the beach are rented for free. Of course, there is no resort blood. Wow~ It will be a place that I will never forget for a lifetime.

|5.21km from city centerUhhhhh..... We stayed in this hotel because our flight got in late and we needed a place close to the airport to crash for one night. This hotel fits that purpose well. That said, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any other situation other than the one I just described. They were pumping sewage right outside of our door the morning we woke up. Also, our room key didn't work the morning we were checking out. The only other positive of this hotel is that it is within walking distance of THE BEST little food place we came across on our whole trip: Joe's Grill Express. We cannot wait to come back so we can visit Joe's again.

We really enjoyed our stay here because of the staff, because of the activities they had planned for the guests and the location to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Getting there. It was about a 45 minute drive from the airport that started at about 5pm. It was an easy drive with a lot of great scenic views along the way. Hotel Location - I found the location to be an ideal location for us and our itinerary (Haleiwa town - Matsumoto Shave Ice, the food trucks - Fumi’s,Giovannies and Romy’s, Dole Plantation, Kualoa Ranch, Byodo Temple Inn, Hukilau Market and the Polynesian Cultural Centre) Right off the highway you find yourself located a short walking distance across the front parking lot to get some food at the Hukilau Market at the Polynesian Cultural Centre or McDonald’s), Foodland for groceries and food counter (2 min drive north), a short drive to the North Sore Taco, CVS to get other supplies including beer just a 3-5 min drive south The Bedroom - we stayed in one of the King Suites. This was a large room with lots of space. The main bedroom had plenty of space and storage for clothes and a very comfortable bed.. It also had a couple of chairs that we ultimately used to create a sitting area in the kitchen. the TV in the room was big and worked fine. The Living room had plenty of space and was big. The foldout had a cushion mattress on top and there is a second cushion/mattress in the closet in the bedroom. Using both is a must for a comfortable mattress on the sofa bed. I slept on the sofa bed and was able to get a comfortable good nights sleep. The air conditioner is right beside the bed so if you are a person that does not like the cold, it is something to consider. There was a kitchen area/living room area where we ate and hung out. There were plenty of seats and chairs to accommodate us having some friends over to the room for some dinner and some drinks. The fridge in this room (had a freezer too) was a really good size and much larger than the fridges in the regular rooms. Amenities. The exercise room was on okay size. I did not use it but it did go in to take a look around. The pool and hot tub were great. They had cabanas that you could rent. We did not rent them but I believe it was $20 for a couple of hours. Laundry. They had laundry on site but given our visit was at the beginning of our trip we did not use the facilities. Anything you need for doing laundry can be bought at either Foodland or CVS. Outdoor sitting area. There is a lot of room with lots of seats but very popular for gatherings. Lobby. Very large and comfortable lobby area to gather and relax. Bistro. I did not use the bistro aside from getting a coffee one morning.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovation during our visit. The room was very good although only cardboard cups and plastic cutlery were provided. When I asked for wine glasses the front desk staff explained that the hotel did not provide them due to the covid pandemic…which did not make any sense to us…and only served to reduce our rating of the hotel. Despite this I would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay..and just a 10min walk to Ala Moana Shopping centre and Ala Moana beach.

Location: The location is really great.
It's right in front of the beach, so it's great to play, swim, and come in from the beach
There is also Cheeseburger Paradise, one of the top 3 burger restaurants in Hawaii, right next door.
Maguros Spot, famous for its poke, and the famous Musubi restaurant are also nearby.
Room condition: Clean, but cleaning is done once every 2 days
I already knew about the cleaning part, so there was nothing inconvenient -
I stayed here and moved to the next hotel, but they clean it every day!
Was it good for nothing? Toothbrushes are not provided separately!
I didn't even have slippers, so I brought them to my room.
It's quiet, and each room has a balcony, so it's good to dry your swimsuit.
Breakfast: Additional tips!!! (One star off because of him!)
They said the breakfast was buffet style, so I even paid an extra fee (I thought it was 30 dollars per person). It was the worst breakfast of my life.. They say it's served like that on the weekends.. Give me a plate of fruit and a plate of bread and you're done! You can't choose the price, you have to eat what they give you. If this is the case, even if you go to a nice brunch cafe and eat it, the price is half the price and it would have been much more satisfying. Totally disappointing
Additional facilities: Infinity pool is good.
The infinity pool is good, and in the evening, do a DJ performance at the bar next door.
There is a beam projector on the building side of the pool, and the a**osphere is good.
At night, I bought a cocktail at the pub next door and ate it while swimming in the pool. There were many stars in the sky and it felt good.
There is an abc store on the 1st floor, so it's convenient, and there's also Kai Coffee, one of Hawaii's top 3 cafes, so I drank one kai latte a day during my stay.
Hawaii hotels are all too expensive -
The entire stay was very good because I liked the location, facilities, etc.
But no matter how much I think about it, the breakfast was too good - deducting one star.

The hotel's public area has a wedding area, facing the sea, and the pool is not small. Unfortunately, the water is cold and the sun is still a bit cold, but the foreigners have a good time.

|4.59km from city centerBooked this in 2019 for our 20th anniversary and had to cancel due to COVID and they said they would honor my booked rate for the next year. Had to cancel again and they honored my price for 2022! I was impressed with that. Hotel is in a great location-you can play in the ocean and see Diamond Head and we were lucky enough to spot two sea turtles. (one was a baby) You can walk to International Market Place, Al Moana shopping center, and Beach Walk Street with many good Restaurants. and Lewers Street. Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center down the street also. We didn't get a rental car and took an uber 4 times and had several tours booked where you get picked up and dropped off. Much cheaper than a rental car and having to pay $50 a night just to park the rental car at the hotel. Hotel was in definite need of a remodel. Was told would have a higher level room and put on first floor. We requested to move next day. Moved to 9th floor. Room was clean, hotel was clean, restaurant was very clean. People were friendly. Lots to do on Oahu. A lot of people here.

We spoke to hotel staff who, offered us a higher room and we noticed the AC was a newer system, not in the wall causing open window and it was overall so much more enjoyable. The hotel is of course not 5* but the rooms were tidy and comfortable. The entrance to the pool is slightly difficult and strange with improper signage and a staircase to get there (not wheelchair friendly). In terms of location, the beach is incredibly close although the hotel is situated on a more (dodgy) street than where I stayed previously. I would stay here again if I knew I was going to be in the same room due to its price and location 😊

We decided to stay at the Residence in Kapolei Oahu and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a great location, near Raising Canes, 7-Eleven, and Starbucks, which are all within walking distance of the hotel. About a mile and a half away is the Ka Makana Ali’i mall. The front desk staff was very courteous and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean. The only thing I can say about the room is the pillows were a little too soft for my taste. I like them a little firmer, but that is a very minor issue. The free breakfast is delicious. It comes with a buffet that offers scrambled eggs, choices of meat , make your own toast or waffles, fruits, cereals, and fruit juices, and coffee. The hotel had a special going on for local residents so we took advantage of that package. We used the gym equipment on both days but didn’t have a chance to use the pool. Unfortunately, we forgot to leave a tip for our housekeeper upon check out. I ended up calling the hotel to see if I could get the name of the housekeeper who cleaned our room after we checked out I was told her name is Abby. So, Abby, I will be stopping by one day to bring you a little something for your hard work. Thank you to all the staff at the Residence Inn Kapolei Oahu for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back again. I highly recommend this hotel,

Walking distance to a ton of restaurants, bars, shopping and Waikiki beach. At check in, we were greeted by friendly staff and treated to a complementary drink. Every member of the hotel staff we interacted with were super friendly and welcoming. The hotel is pet friendly and it was great to see so many people with their pups on vacation. |5.02km from city centerThis location is the best. 1 block from the beach, within walking distance to anything you want in Waikiki. The lobby is an open, grand lobby. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very concerned about the hotel when I got off the elevator on the 14th floor. The hallways are dated and uninviting. However, upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plenty spacious for a solo traveler (and would be acceptable for 2 travelers), and had a great view of the ocean. The continental breakfast offered fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, and waffles. The best part of the stay was Leo at the bell desk. He was extremely friendly, and provided excellent service (he even noticed that I dropped my apple watch cover and held it for me until my return later that day). Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!

Helped me with directions and trolley information. Even called for shuttle service for me to get me back to the airport. Highly recommend this hotel.
