The room was clean, bathroom a bit small but we were on vacation and there to take in the beauty of Fussen - who cares about the bathroom size! It has beautiful towels and toiletries! The breakfast offered had everything you would ever want. It is an interesting place to get to but Apple Car Play got us there quickly. It was well worth it! Thank you 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

I got out of the turn and arrived. 2. The hotel was opened soon, the facilities are new, the boss attaches great importance to the guest experience, and is warm and thoughtful to the guests. The lobby is on the 0th floor, there are restaurants, there are tourist souvenir shops, all of them. I live in a triple room on the 1st floor. The room is not small. There are windows on both sides of the wall. The floor is made of wood and floor tiles, there are three-seat sofas and large wardrobes. Quiet and no noise at night. 3. After arriving at the store, the front desk will issue a Fussen transportation card, each deposit of 5 Euro, and the deposit will be refunded when the card is returned. It is very convenient to take the 78 or 73 road to Swan Castle. The town is not big, there is a rewe supermarket not far from the hotel. 4. The hotel buffet breakfast is 7 yuan per person and it is very good. The noon restaurant is closed. The boss is particularly good, allowing us to eat our own food at the restaurant after check-out, and give us a lot of more than a dozen breads. This hotel left us with a particularly good impression and is worth recommending.

|0.16km from city centerGetting into the hotel was a bit tricky. Apparently it isn't open all the time, and we didn't understand that. We rang the bell a while, but finally got in when a guest was leaving. We found the desk, found the room list, and managed to find our room and get in, and it was lovely. We had booked a room for 4 people but were moved to the knight's room that slept six. It was nice to have the extra space. There are toilets and showers on each floor, and all were very clean. We didn't quite understand the shower booking system, so yes, I managed to walk in on someone. Fortunately she was done and dressed, so it wasn't quite a disaster. We didn't have a problem with crowds for either the shower or bathrooms. The location was right in the middle of all the activity. People were eating below us and at night musicians played music. It was very pleasant. The room got a bit stuffy, and so we kept the windows open at night. There was minimal noise, and we weren't bothered, except one early morning when the garbage trucks came through and the street sweepers afterwards. Lots of shops and eateries on the street. There also was a Woolworths a couple of shops from our hotel, for those who are old enough to remember them. We went inside to see what it was about, and it reminded me of my vague memories of shopping in one as a child. I had accidently spilled something on my shirt the day before, and couldn't get the stain out. I found a good replacement shirt at Woolworths for only 5 euros. I've washed and worn it a few times since we've been home, and it is still in good shape. I recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again. The proprietor is a young guy who was very helpful. He apparently works another job while trying to get the hotel going, which is why it isn't open all the time.

|0.04km from city centerAn easy seven-minute walk from the train station is the comfortable and delightful Hotel Sonne Fussen. You will have to cross a two-lane road, but there are crosswalks at either end. There are actually two entrances. If you go to the right-side facing Sonne, there is a convenient door entering the hotel. The other door is on the people street of Reichenstrasse. In between the entrances are several smaller stores. There is a convenient parking garage in the lower floor. There is a room where you do have access to a washing machine and dryer found in the garage area. The reception staff, like the hotel, are friendly and accommodating. Don’t forget to ask for your “Fussen Card” which will give you a free bus ride up to Neuschwanstein and back. The busses are right by the train station. Our room was indeed very clean and pleasant. We had a balcony room facing the mountains. The only downside was the lack of privacy to one side. The balcony is nice though and we did use it The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large enough. We did like the soft-carpet in the room. By the desk was a large picture of the library museum that was once in a Benedictine monastery and later became City Hall. If you have time, visiting that museum is well worth the money and time. Our two days at Sonne’s we elected not to have our room cleaned. A box of towels was kindly left at our front door. Sonne’s was the only hotel to do this in our month long journey through Bavaria. The hotel is decorated with interesting pieces of art. Some of the pieces could be in a movie. Breakfast is a highlight. The staff takes superb effort to make your breakfast most enjoyable. There are all sorts of items to choose from. You will not starve. I did like the sausages and croissants. Most people, if not all, come to Fussen for the castle. We found the village of Fussen to be a delight. Besides the monastery museum, there is Hohes castle close by and a doable walk to Lechfall. An Aldi’s is just down the street. We found walking the people streets brought real character to Fussen. We did enjoy the hotel’s restaurant for one meal. On a side street is a superb Asian restaurant called ‘Thuy Golden Stabchen.” They had the best shrimp. If you found this review to be “helpful” in any way, please click “Thumbs-up” to let me know.

|0.03km from city centerThe hotel was lovely. Staff great. Breakfast superb. However…. I was charged when I booked online. On checkout, I was was charged again plus extras. I pointed out that I had already paid for the room and was told that was a pending charge and would be refunded. My irritation at this, is that the hotel should have completed the original transaction that was “pending” and only charge me for what ever extras (dinner, parking etc) on checkout. The result was a refund, 5 days later. This is very frustrating when you are holidaying on a budget and every penny counts. No other hotel I have come across does this. They take a charge in the first instance, then complete that charge and only bill for extras at checkout.

The work and rest hours in European towns are all early in the rest. I left a phone call at the front desk and a note to inform the check-in. It is surprisingly convenient in about 10 minutes from the center and the lake. The front desk was very kind and gave me a fussen pass. It is helpful because the bus is available for free and the ticket for some tourist facilities is discounted. The room is clean and cozy. There is also a spa, but German culture seems to be normal for men and women, and eventually it was not used.

|0.11km from city centerWell the location is amazing!! You can walk anywhere from the hotel which is a bonus but you pay for that bonus too. It is expensive to stay here, the rooms are large and basically bare. Clean and only one pillow per person. To walk to the room took some time due to the largeness of the corridors - sometimes you think you need a map! Beds were ok, not the best not the worse! Buffet breakfast was very good, lots of options and good quality. Probably wouldn’t stay again would look around for a smaller more personable hotel. The underground parking under the hotel has limited, very limited parking in an extremely tight carpark took multiple turns to even get in! Would not recommend that but near the information centre there is a large well lit multi storey parking garage and open 24/7 and wasn’t expensive! The town is beautiful and well worth the visit.

|5.74km from city centerThe apartment is located directly on the lake, so you are in green and on the water. Apartments are very cozy and well furnished. The most beautiful are the two-room apartments. Studios are very strongly dominated by the bed. The three-room apartment is actually a two-room apartment plus a windowless room with two narrow beds. This is primarily practical for families with two children. The facilities are rather rustic and in part a little older. But everything is clean and seems friendly. The equipment is complete and has everything you need as guest. The kitchen line is also noticeably well equipped. The operators are very careful and care about the good of the guests. For sports guests there is a swimming pool and fitness facilities, and in summer you can naturally swimming in the lake. There is a spacious path around the lake. The highlight of the facility is undoubtedly the beautiful view of the sea and mountains. Foot and numerous tourist destinations are easily reachable by car. All in all it is a relatively cheap and pleasant facility. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit, no breakfast buffet was offered. You could only order breakfast in the room. We found it bad. The Italian restaurant has opened almost all day and has tables in the garden where you can be siated beautifully with sea view. We were happy around.

|0.19km from city centerWe were here for four days in March with our three-year-old twins, because I was happy to visit the castle of Neuschwanstein before the masses of tourists come back. Unfortunately, the accommodation can be described only with a few words: Incredible!!! The greeting was very warm and the check-in was made quickly. Furthermore, there were already various tips for the stay. Parking are available free. The hotel is family-run - and that is from deep passion. Here is the customer still king! The room was huge (sense bigger than booked) and the view top! Cleanliness also leaves no wishes open. The breakfast was simple but convenient at a fair price. Our children also felt very well and were, despite the age, pleased guests. Price performance is unslaughterable - a small anecdote. On the first night we were eating in a restaurant and ordered two main dishes, 1 bottle of water and one beer - pricefully as expensive as a night including breakfast. We will definitely come back!
