|0.68km from city centerLovely new boutique hotel in an area that felt a bit similar to Soho, close to Central train station. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are compact but have everything you need and was sufficient space for 2 people, and very comfortable.

|0.38km from city centerThis lovely art deco inspired hotel is a small, boutique hotel set in a fabulous location to enjoy Sydney. While centrally located, it is a nice and quiet for a good night’s sleep. It is walking distance to almost everything - short walk to nearby bars and restaurants and Central station and a bit further walk to Oxford St or the CBD, or just 40 minutes to the Opera House. The hotel is beautifully designed and finished. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable and the complimentary coffee/pastries/ fruit breakfast is very enjoyable. There is a lovely roof top terrace and an honour snack and drinks bar to enjoy too. Every room is different with clever design to make the most of their size. We stayed in a cosy room (107) and, as the website says, it is snug for a couple! We managed fine and really enjoyed our stay but personally I would have preferred a luggage rack to the sitting chair (which is overly large for a small room). The staff were all welcoming and professional. This is our second stay in a Crystalbrook hotel and both have been excellent.

|0.67km from city centerI've stay there quite a long time during the 2021 year and I was feeling like I was at home. The number of guest was very low because of the Covid. The staff is nice and the small size of the hotel makes it feels as a second home. I've got good memories from this place

|0.37km from city centerMade a last minute booking due to broad train network failure and was unable to get home in a timely fashion. Location very convenient to Central station . The bar was buzzing and the staff were very friendly on check-in given I’d booked 10mins earlier on booking.com. They took me to my room and gave me a rundown of the services. While the rooms are old, they are clean and the linen and towels were good quality and the bed and pillows comfortable. It was a hot night and the A/C delivered keeping my peri menopausal at bay. I ordered a delicious meal from the bistro and was able to walk to work very well rested the next morning. I will happily stay there again.

|0.88km from city centerWe stayed here 3 nights in our travel trip before moving to Melbourne.
The hotel located in centre of the city. Price of room staying is valueable. Breakfast is not very good but IBIS' brf at 3 star hotel always like this.
Nice staffs. We left early morning with great brf take away.
One thing we are not really happy is that we had to wait for a 35-40 mins to check in, even we came after 15:00. But overall we had good time at the hotel.

|0.82km from city centerI stayed at the ACE for 2 weeks during a recent business trip and I was very impressed. (And when it comes to hotels. I'm not easy to please to please.) Most importantly, the rooms were super clean. As a bonus, the bed was comfortable too. The restaurant had good food and the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. For a hotel, the gym was pretty good with treadmills, a rowing machine, dumbbells' up to 50lbs and Kettlebells. My only complaint is that the bar area gets very loud. I could actually hear the bass coming from the music on the 4th floor at night. I asked to be moved to a higher floor and after that I had no issues. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

|0.21km from city centerOnly stayed for one night in a one person room but it was exactly what I wished for! Clean room, good bed and a nice shower. I loved the free coffee and tea, and the Caramello Koala’s at the reception. Defintely recommend if you need to go to the airport or somewhere else with the train from Central!

|0.77km from city centerOnly gave 1 star due to not being able to give 0. Black mold over entire bathroom. Not a single tiled surface was mold free. Cockroaches crawling in at night under the doors. The vent of the air con unit was covered in dust and more black mold. Not that the air con unit worked anyway. We stayed middle of winter so lucky for us all the sheets including pillows were made entirely of plastic (natural fibres would have left us freezing). Staff were only there probably to clean and that's it, because we never saw them. Ever! We tried to check in 20 minutes early and the lady claimed ”there is no luggage storage”. Lo and behold, when we were finally checked in there is a massive painted sign saying ”luggage storage”. Also, the room wasn't ready even by 2PM, the stated check-in time. We saw one gentleman traveller waiting outside to check in at 7PM in the freezing cold for God knows how long he sat there, but we were unable to let him in due to signage explicitly stating that letting in people would lead to non-refundable expulsion. Also, the doors only open with an App, so if your phone does good luck getting in. Honestly, if my phone died, I would have called the cops and had them find a way to let us in with the non-existent staff. Cleaning lady was so lovely. Reception lady was horrible. Kitchen had a faulty stove that was always firing. This is probably not advisable, as a simple gas leak could mean this misfiring burner will blow the place up - if only that would happen (with no-one staying there), because that is the only way this place is going to get better (a complete rebuild). Kitchen was filthy, with no cups to be seen anywhere. I probably wouldn't have used them anyway. Why the heck is there a massive tarp covering the balcony? Did this place semi-burn down??? Also would like to state that the photos provided are most likely from the Glebe location that they also own. The photos looked simple, which is what I wanted. Simple, not freaking disgusting. I have stayed in backpackers in Africa that are legitimately better than this hell-hole. Might I add that one of those places included a room with no glass in the window, and I found that place better than The Village!!!! I have copied this review in case it is ”magically” lost. I will be posting it elsewhere.

|0.35km from city centerThis is a two bedroom and one living room, with kitchen and laundry facilities, two bedrooms with one queen bed and one double bed. In the kitchen, there are cups, cups, spoons and forks, as well as toaster dishwashers. It is great for us to bring Chinese food in Australia. We bought noodles, eggs, and cooked ourselves at a nearby supermarket. The breakfast was awesome. However, the hotel does not provide toothpaste toothbrushes and disposable slippers, only shampoo and bath products. There is also a very close to the city center. The bus stops 5 to 6 to the town hall. There is Woolworth around 500 meters. The disadvantage is that the bathroom door is not moving very well. The water will be hot and cold when you take a bath, and if you don’t need to take a bath Supplies, even if only a little left, it won't add new ones to you the next day.

|0.6km from city centerWe stayed here for 4 nights in May 2022 and what a calamity of an experience. It even begun before we landed in Sydney with them cancelling our booking due to a water leak in the room they allocated to us. After trying to find alternative accommodation at the last minute we were then advised all was OK. The greeting when we arrived was good and we were shown our room located directly behind the communal kitchen (room 1). Apparently they supplied a continental breakfast each morning with bakery items, cereals, orange juice, coffee but you wouldn't know it because only on one morning of the four we were there we were greeted with leftover crumbs or one lonely croissant. On one morning there was even no milk, coffee or orange juice at all. This place does not have a manned reception which I have no issue with but each time we went downstairs to the bar to ask a question we were treated with distain from the girls working there. The room was spacey but just really poor hygiene and basic....very basic. Then to top it off on our final night the vanity in the bathroom fell off the wall and onto me throwing out all our toiletries and leaving me with a heavy bang on the head. They couldn't fix the problem and instead arranged alternate accommodation at another hotel so we had to pack up our bags and relocate unexpectedly. By the time we got to the other hotel it was 11:15pm and we had to leave the following morning. They didn't even offer us any compensation or at the very least a breakfast voucher considering we had only managed to get something to eat on 1 of the 4 mornings we were there. Just really poor service with little regard to how it impacted us. NEVER AGAIN.

|0.3km from city centerWe hired the room in mid. February 2020, a double room with private bathroom. Stayed for two nights, had one day in Sydney, 3rd day morning went home. No sink in the bathroom, had to use the (‘kitchen’) sink in the room, the room was small. The twin bed was small but very comfortable, compare to the price the hotel was worth the price. Located beside the Central Station and we walked to the Opera House, not far. Very easy get to the airport from the CS. This hotel is OK for a shorter stay, but for a longer stay we would prefer an another place.

|0.7km from city centerOn the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???

|0.78km from city centerWe stayed in this hotel when it was under another banner and thought it was ok then. We decided to book the Comfy King this time, as the room we stayed in last time was very small. We found the comfy king a lot better and we had plenty of room. Seriously, the room is just to change and sleep in not to party. Under the Covid rules, It is not serviced daily, but if you need anything, you just ask at reception and they will help you out. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean. And this hotel is 100m from Central Station, so transport was never a problem. We would definately stay here again.
