Within very short distance to Museum of Anatolian Civilization, Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum, and Ankara Castle. This hotel is also beside Hisar Park which is adjacent to Ankara Castle where from far I can view Temple of August and ruins of Ankara Roman Theater. Quiet and clean super budget hotel with basic served Turkish breakfast. Perhaps this hotel is situated in old roman area (?). Many of buildings around, now are used as shops and offices, still keep the roman decorative art.

I stayed this hotel June 2018. I like the location near Ankara castle. The room is cute ottoman style as I saw the website. Wifi and AC worked well. I also like my terrace and view. It is quiet night time, so I got nice sleep. Breakfast is ok, but the view is great. Stuff were very helpful. I walked to Ankara castle around sunset time. Some tourists had same idea going to castle to see the view. Daytime is nice, but sunset(after sunset also) time view was amazing, You will see 360 degree view from the castle. I was very happy about I did. In the morning, I walked around the hotel and near the castle again. There are many café, restaurants and shops around. This is great hotel with reasonable price.

We did not have high expectations, considering the reviews and the price. Indeed, even though it is forbidden to smoke, the rooms smell a lot. The toilet smells a bit too. Breakfast is simple but ok (except the packed bread, when there are so many good bakeries close by). If you want something cheap for 1 night, it is ok. But I would not recommend it for longer.

My fiance and I stayed in the raddison room 1307 from the 5th of November till the 19th. Everything was going relatively fine until our last day. After my fiance left for the airport and I went back to pack my own belongings I was appalled to find that an armani watch of mine, worth the same amount as our ENTIRE 14 days stay in the radisson blu, was stolen. I say stolen because BOTH my fiance and I saw it for the last time during that same day before leaving to have lunch together while the help was arranging the room. Neither of us touched it, moved it, or saw it afterwards. After I searched all my bags for more than 3 times, called my fiance in the airport and made him check his and searched in the room for more than 3 hours I decided to finally contact the reception. I would have never expected such a poor almost non-existence response to such a serious claim in a four star hotel as supposedly respectable and reputable as the radisson blu. When I told them what happened in detail and that I have NO DOUBT in mind that the watch was actually stolen their only reply was that "nothing like that has ever happened here before". They did not summon the help, whose shift has ended, back to the hotel. They merely called them on the phone and took whatever they said for granted. They did not summon any of their superiors and I doubt that they even informed them with what happened. I was reeling under the weight of having said goodbye to my fiance who I only just got to see after 10 months of being apart of COVID-19 and was not equipped to deal with another both monetary and emotional loss that came with losing such a dear gift to my heart. The only thing the desk checked is if someone entered the room while we weren't there which I knew would be useless as she had to have taken it while she was doing the routine everyday cleaning. In the end they told me that they have my number and would call me if they found anything and that "nothing like this has ever happened here before" but there is a first time for everything isn't it ? So what would happen the next time someone makes a similar claim ? Would it also be that "this never happened before?" Or am I expected to wait until something like this happens again, which it would given the absolute lack of accountability I personally witnessed, in order to be respectfully listened to and heard? I really can't in GOOD CONDITIONS recommend the place.

Good environment, easy to reach and super service. The reception is top and fast, great rooms The area is almost perfect, especially for business travelers. Opposite the hotel there is a huge shopping mall with on the top floor a food court with all sorts of fast foods like KFC and McDonalds but also Turkish fast food with Izgara kofte and other great floods. Cheap but very good. The shopping mall is divided by a foodstreet where the more high-end restaurants are. For 50 Lira you can eat perfect there, all sorts of styles. The hotel itself, as written, very good but a few things are not unimportant. The cleaning of the room is very good. The bed itself also but still wondering why a duvet is lying on the bed and cannot be (partly) be put under a mattress so not to get cold feet in the winter. Bathroom perfect, always hot water. The water cooker to make coffee or tea is on a very strange place and is not put there after thinking very well. The prices in the lobby for a tea are actually a bit too high but not ridiculous. All in all, a recommendation for this hotel suits here!

The moment I entered the hotel, Neslihon Tekin (sp?) made me feel as if I were the hotel's most important guest! Every single staff member from that point on treated me so kindly. Neslihon went out of her way in seeing that I was enjoying my stay - one example: when she observed me sitting alone in the lobby, she sent over the most wonderful Turkish tea and sweets - and throughout my stay asked if I needed anything. And then, Cek Kutlu went out of his way, as well, to see that I was enjoying the hotel and Ankara in general. Both were continuously looking after me as if I were family! Because of them (and everyone else!), I will only stay in Hilton Ankara in my future visits. I am certain every other guest feels the same. You should be very proud of your entire staff.

I stayed at Gordion Hotel this past June for one evening and one full day while traveling through Turkey. Upon arrival at around 10 pm, the hotel staff greeted me, helped me with my luggage, and delivered my room key. After a long trip from the US, I appreciated the warm welcome and attentiveness. The hotel itself is lovely - I am a bit of an architecture/design nerd and was impressed by the elegance of the building and tasteful interior design reflecting Anatolian history; I noticed this sentiment echoed by other reviewers as well. I stayed in one of the suites - the bed was very comfortable and I was able to sleep right away, no noise coming from other rooms (so important to me!), and ample towels/toiletries in the bathroom. I also have to note that I loved the ancient Anatolian decor in the room. In the morning, I woke up pleasantly early from the time difference and was able to catch the sunrise across the city's skyline. An authentic Turkish buffet in the hotel's restaurant was incredible! I'm going to be adding a photo to this post. Having lived in the US for many years, I've become quite picky when it comes to Turkish food and this spread was perfect after 3 years away: cheese and bread pastries, menemen (egg/tomato dish), variety of cheeses and salami, eggs, jams, vegetables, and drinks. I had a flight later in the evening - the hotel's managing staff actually helped coordinate the logistics (plane ticket, transportation, etc.) and met me as I was leaving breakfast to hand me my tickets & ask about my experience. I can't stress enough how wonderful the customer service and attention to detail was at this hotel. Stayed in my room for most of the day doing work - it was comfortable, I had the AC running on a hot day and had consistent/fast wifi. Took a break and went down to the sauna for about an hour before leaving - there is a jaw dropping pool down there that I unfortunately did not have the time to swim in. Overall, my stay at Gordion was a perfect start to my trip. The employees were warm, considerate, and helped me with everything I needed. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you are visiting Ankara.

Everything was as expected just like the photos. It's been several years now since they built, so it's not as pristine and nice, but it's very acceptable. I read some of the cleanliness issues but I thought it was very acceptable for this value. Nice basic and fresh breakfast. The rooms are very large and spacious, so this is very good. Check-out was very fast (all paid for, so I just returned the keys and walked out). It's next to Migros store for basic foods and drinks you can buy. Wifi was weak but I think it was because our triple rooms were far from the router. If you get a double room, it will be closer, i think. Our only complaint was the mattresses were all a bit bumpy. My first night, I couldn't sleep well because it was uncomfortable and woke up several times. However, the 2nd night I slept the whole night. Maybe I got used to it, or because I was soooo tired.
