This was my first stay at this location after using several other hotels in Kenora. The room was fine aside from the fact the cleaning of the room was not done well as dirt was still on the carpet and the mini-fridge/freezer was not cold when I got there. But what got me giving them a poor rating is the fact I paid for a room with breakfast and when I asked upon checking in when breakfast would be, I then was told there would be no breakfast as they ran out of supplies. I made it clear this was unsatisfactory but the guy working the counter told me he would call me to let me know what can be done and never did. There was no breakfast in the morning when this was one of the reasons I had booked this hotel as I was going to be out all day and needed a good breakfast before heading out. As well, if I had known there was no breakfast, I would have booked elsewhere for cheaper not including a breakfast. This was my first stay at this location after using several other hotels in Kenora. The room was fine aside from the fact the cleaning of the room was not done well as dirt was still on the carpet and the mini-fridge/freezer was not cold when I got there. But what got me giving them a poor rating is the fact I paid for a room with breakfast and when I asked upon checking in when breakfast would be, I then was told there would be no breakfast as they ran out of supplies. I made it clear this was unsatisfactory but the guy working the counter told me he would call me to let me know what can be done and never did. There was no breakfast in the morning when this was one of the reasons I had booked this hotel as I was going to be out all day and needed a good breakfast before heading out. As well, if I had known there was no breakfast, I would have booked elsewhere for cheaper not including a breakfast.
