Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do. The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water. Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem. With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad.

There's a common room upstairs where you can eat. They also offer a simple breakfast in the morning with coffee, juice, toast, and dinner rolls. The breakfast was really good, especially the dinner rolls. When toasted, the butter would ooze out – absolutely delicious! The famous Miyahara Eye Clinic is just a short walk away. Next time, if I need to, I'll ask them to help me get a lower bunk.

I had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel Taichung! This is truly a 5-star experience from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. As soon as my taxi pulled up, the bellboy came over right away and helped with my luggage—even sending it directly to my room without me needing to handle anything. Such thoughtful service! The room was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I especially loved the little touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine for a nice cup of coffee anytime. The biggest surprise was the complimentary mini bar—there were four bottles of soft drinks provided for free, which was such a nice bonus! The bathroom was also impressively large, clean, and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay. Overall, I highly recommend Millennium Hotel Taichung if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again! 😊

location is really good. it is convenient since there are bus stops nearby to go around the city there is also a nice night market nearby and nice food options/ restaurants only downside is that the rooms are near and little to no sound proofing so the showers and can hear people showering / blowdrying hair at night. I still had a good sleep with my ear plugs on. The living / lounge area is also small and with people working who are staying there longer hoarding the only dining table for their work stuff so if this is not an issue for you and for short stays. I reco this hostel!

We were given a change to a very nice room. Although it cost a little extra, the waiter was really attentive and polite. On the other hand, I really appreciated their breakfast preparation. The salads and sandwiches were freshly made, which was very heartwarming. I was very grateful to the breakfast cook who noticed that my husband did not eat salads and cooked two boiled eggs and carrot cakes for him the next day. I appreciated her attentiveness and service attitude. We came from Hong Kong and it was our first time to Guguan. We were very happy and grateful for this three-day, two-night trip to Guguan. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, it is acceptable. The hygiene is also good, the waiters are very good, and the new building under construction next to the hotel should be better next time we come. I will stay here again next time, thank you and wish the waiter well.

We booked a one-night stay in a SPA-themed room with two double beds. We checked into the hotel at 7:35 PM on July 24th. Upon entering the room, we discovered the toilet wasn't flushing and there was no cold water in the private hot spring bathroom. We immediately notified the front desk, and hotel staff promptly came to fix it. They explained it might have been due to a water supply issue. Since the hot spring bathroom only had scalding hot water and no cold, it was impossible to take a bath. After urgent repairs, both hot and cold water were restored around 11:15 PM. However, by midnight, the toilet started leaking non-stop (it was still leaking when we checked out). Upon waking up in the morning, we were very concerned about a potential electrical hazard. Paying such a high price for a hotel with so many faulty facilities was truly not worth it. After checking out, the hotel offered us a pudding as an apology. However, this experience was utterly unsatisfactory, leaving a very poor impression of the hotel's facilities and overall quality. We definitely won't be returning.

However the showerhead was difficult to position and the tub is small so water sprayed everywhere on the floor. Free water bottles are provided. There could be more hooks installed for hanging clothes or personal toiletries. The bedsheets/pillowcases were discolored but not sure if this is related to hygiene or just the bedsheet style/color. They felt clean and didn’t find any weird objects except for some hairs on the pillowcases (the staff helped us replace them).

Our family always makes it a habit to find a hotel near Fengjia Night Market when we visit, and we've been doing it for years. This was our first time staying at this particular hotel, and we booked a quad room. The room was incredibly spacious, and parking was convenient. Since we checked in on a Saturday, we could have reserved the shuttle bus to Fengjia for 30 NTD per person. However, we decided to challenge ourselves to walk there and back. It was a bit of a trek, about 10-15 minutes one way, which was a little far but not unbearable. The breakfast was a buffet, and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetable juice machine – that was super fun! Overall, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The only downside was... by the time we wanted a late-night snack, we were already too full from the night market food, so we just went downstairs for a bubble tea and headed back to the room!

Great for family trip. The service of room was satisfying and quite fast. As soon as we enter our room in third floor, we noticed the size of slippers provided was too large. To our surprise, they took care of the problem almost immediately. I will give the service five star. As for the swimming pool, the quality of water is also good enough for children in 6-12 age group. BTW, thanks for the swimming pool service people. They gave us medication for mosquito biting in emergency. Surely recommended for family trip destination.

Extremely disappointed 😞. The family room I saw in the pictures wasn't the one I stayed in, and there were no photos of my actual room type available on Trip.com. The room I got didn't match the price I paid. I booked specifically for the room design, so I was really upset when I arrived. When I asked at the front desk, they told me, 'Because you didn't request it? So it's just a standard room?' I had no idea there were other room types. I came during a public holiday (and my price was more than double the usual rate), but I didn't get the room I wanted. I really can't accept this! The most unreasonable thing, in my opinion, was the security deposit. I'm okay with paying a deposit, but why wasn't it refunded immediately? Who traveling for a vacation in Taiwan wants to wait over two weeks for a refund? I've already waited fourteen days, and they're saying it's Trip.com's problem and not theirs??? The staff just shifted all the blame and didn't help resolve the issue at all! It's already 2/28 to 3/14 and I still haven't received my money? What happened to the promised 7 to 14 days? And I can't find anyone who can help resolve this problem! I hope the hotel can help deal with this instead of just saying it's not their problem. The hotel partners with Trip.com; they help you get guests, so why are you so indifferent to your customers' issues??? Who would dare to book with you again after this??? (RM591.92) Is the deposit for one night the same as the holiday room price??? Maybe you didn't collect it directly, but since you let Trip.com collect it, you should be responsible for helping to inquire and assist customers in getting their money back. Just because it's not 'your' money, you don't care? Is this a customer service issue? Five hundred TWD 4,600?? Is that a service fee? Is this a joke? No problem resolution? The breakfast was indeed good! I'll give them that. But who knows how much Oden 🍢 there was? They advertised it as a late-night snack, but it was all gone by 9 PM? When I asked, they just said, 'It's gone, it's gone?' In that case, why even offer it?

The toilet wasn't a true dry-closet toilet, but rather a glass wall. At least the glass wasn't too small, blocking about 80% of the water. For breakfast, you could choose from a lunch box (which I didn't choose this time, but I think there were four options, including vegetarian ones).

This time, I brought my younger son to Taichung for registration, and without even considering other options, I chose to stay here again because the value for money is simply unbeatable. This time, we booked a double room and were directly upgraded to a quadruple room with two large beds. We're already planning to visit Taichung next month and want to try out their other branch. I highly recommended this place to my friends when I got back because they complained about expensive and poor accommodation in Taichung. They were very happy with my recommendation. My son and I both absolutely love their large, standalone bathtub with massage bubbles. It's incredibly comfortable to soak in while watching TV.

However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Whenever I'm on a business trip to Taichung, I always stay here. I used to stay at the Howard Plaza Hotel next door, but ever since I discovered this place, there's been no looking back. I love that they have a sauna, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, with a minimalist design, and an open view. The breakfast buffet is also quite good. Once, I chatted with a guest in the elevator who turned out to be a local resident. He uses this hotel as his 'Club House,' coming here for the gym, sauna, and swimming pool – it seems like a great option for him too.

Before the ***** New Year, we took a trip to Taichung and stayed at a hotel near Feng Chia Night Market. The location is excellent, right at the entrance of the night market and opposite the university's main gate. Everything else was fine, but they charged an extra NT$180 for our 8-year-old for breakfast. We went down at 10:10 AM and there was almost nothing left, so our child ended up just having half a bowl of braised pork rice. That was really expensive! There's a whole row of breakfast places downstairs, so if you're staying here, definitely don't include breakfast. It's not worth it at all; you're better off trying local breakfast spots or the student-favorite queues. Another point is the lack of parking. They sent us to a contracted parking lot two blocks away, and we still had to pay an additional NT$160 per car. That's really inconvenient and not cost-effective. Other than these issues, everything else was okay. The lobby is on the 12th floor, check-out requires going up, and breakfast is also on the 12th floor, while the rooms are below the 12th floor. This arrangement was fine, I guess.

The hotel is really commendable. The staff are nice and can speak English well, the location is really nice! It is within prime location. Just a walking distance to the Taichung Station, Taroko Mall, Miyahara and other tourist spot within the city vicinity. Bus stops is also near to the hotel. I would stay here again.

The facilities had everything one would expect, including disposable slippers. They offer luggage storage, and the room was very clean – no cockroaches or other bugs. Luggage storage is available, and the location is excellent, near Taichung Railway Station, and close to famous goose and Taichung meatball restaurants. Laundry costs 40 NTD, and you can buy detergent on site. One drawback is that the air conditioning in the room didn't dehumidify, making the entire room very damp; my passport even felt a bit damp from the humidity.

Extremely disappointed 😞. The family room I saw in the pictures wasn't the one I stayed in, and there were no photos of my actual room type available on Trip.com. The room I got didn't match the price I paid. I booked specifically for the room design, so I was really upset when I arrived. When I asked at the front desk, they told me, 'Because you didn't request it? So it's just a standard room?' I had no idea there were other room types. I came during a public holiday (and my price was more than double the usual rate), but I didn't get the room I wanted. I really can't accept this! The most unreasonable thing, in my opinion, was the security deposit. I'm okay with paying a deposit, but why wasn't it refunded immediately? Who traveling for a vacation in Taiwan wants to wait over two weeks for a refund? I've already waited fourteen days, and they're saying it's Trip.com's problem and not theirs??? The staff just shifted all the blame and didn't help resolve the issue at all! It's already 2/28 to 3/14 and I still haven't received my money? What happened to the promised 7 to 14 days? And I can't find anyone who can help resolve this problem! I hope the hotel can help deal with this instead of just saying it's not their problem. The hotel partners with Trip.com; they help you get guests, so why are you so indifferent to your customers' issues??? Who would dare to book with you again after this??? (RM591.92) Is the deposit for one night the same as the holiday room price??? Maybe you didn't collect it directly, but since you let Trip.com collect it, you should be responsible for helping to inquire and assist customers in getting their money back. Just because it's not 'your' money, you don't care? Is this a customer service issue? Five hundred TWD 4,600?? Is that a service fee? Is this a joke? No problem resolution? The breakfast was indeed good! I'll give them that. But who knows how much Oden 🍢 there was? They advertised it as a late-night snack, but it was all gone by 9 PM? When I asked, they just said, 'It's gone, it's gone?' In that case, why even offer it?

This hotel is in a perfect location very near to the Taichung Train Station and just a short walk to the famous Miyahara, making sightseeing and travel incredibly easy. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was also super convenient for quick snacks and essentials. Absolutely loved the breakfast buffet options, which offered a great variety of delicious choices every morning. Another huge plus was having a bathtub in the room, which was amazing to enjoy and relax in after a whole day of traveling. While it was a bit weird that the self-service laundry machines were located right by the children's playground area, the overall experience was still good and convenient. Highly recommend staying here!

Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do. The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water. Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem. With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad.
