Matheran Resorts

Radha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India. For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information: - The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking. - It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk. - It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter. - Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2. - Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day.

Very comfortable room, in a quiet and relaxing spot of Matheran. Delicious food and above all very friendly and serviceable staff! Our stay was lovely, we even extended it for two more nights without any issue. The hotel staff was always ready to help us with any inquiry. The room was large and with all necessary things.

This is a historically important location in Matheran.  Ratheesh and his business partner were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation is so full of character. For a truly “green” and unique stay in a totally unique location, the Verandah in the Forest is absolutely a must. This is undoubtedly the place to stay in Matheran if you can get a room - would suggest booking early so as not to miss the chance to stay here - and is so much more than a hotel. Food was superb and because of the size and layout, never seemed busy. Quiet and relaxing stay.  As there’s no phone signal in Matheran Hill Station I’d suggest contacting Ratheesh before making the ascent to the hill station for location instructions. There is wi-fi at the Verandah in the Forest. 

The stay was comfortable. The staff is accommodative and welcoming. Location is a little far from railway station. 1.3km to be exact. So if you have more luggage then take hand rikshaw. Resort is beautiful. Greenery everywhere. Some rooms are too small. So go for delux rooms and not cottages. Food is ok. This being resort, 9% GST id applied on restaurant bill. So be mindful.

The cleanliness of this hotel is exceptional. The room was tidy, and the entire hotel was very well-kept. I appreciate how dedicated the staff is to maintaining a clean environment.

i recently stayed at adamo the village, matheran, and it turned out to be an amazing experience! the property exceeded expectations in many ways, making our trip even more memorable. 🏨 stay & ambience: the resort is well-maintained, clean, and more beautiful than it looks in pictures. rooms are spacious and comfortable, giving a perfect blend of luxury and nature. the resort surroundings are peaceful, making it a great escape from city life. 🍽️ food & dining: pure vegetarian food, and surprisingly, every dish was delicious and well-prepared. a good variety in the menu, catering to different taste preferences. the dining area was clean and well-organized. 💁‍♂️ service & hospitality: the staff was polite, professional, and always ready to help. quick service and attention to detail made our stay very comfortable. special requests were well-handled, making the experience more personalized. 🌿 location & experience: centrally located in matheran, making it easy to access major points. the resort had a peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxation. a great place for couples, families, and even group travelers. final verdict: ✅ great hospitality & well-maintained property ✅ excellent vegetarian food ✅ comfortable rooms & peaceful surroundings ✅ better than expected from the pictures i’d definitely recommend adamo the village to anyone visiting matheran! 🌿🏡✨

This resort is very family friendly and you will get memorable experience. Big property, friendly staff, ready to help nature, so many facilities... Kids play area, very hygienic and tasty breakfast with so many options to select with juice, tea, coffee.... Rooms are very big almost 300+ sqft area with balcony.. location is hardly 7-8 min walk from Matheran railway station

Food was awesome. Location bit away from market. Service could be better. Ambience was awesome. Attended live singing which was good as well.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities met with my expectations. I would recommend it for a pleasant stay.
