Hotel front desk staffs were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed talking to them. Hotel room is just perfect for a Solo traveller in terms of room size, facilities, lighting, etc. I love the room interior. It looks bright and motivating. Lighting is bright which I always prefer and I have the option to switch off some lights if I want it a bit darker before sleeping. Toilet looks compact but there is certainly enough space to take shower and do other stuff. There is a sofa which makes the room look more classy. The bed, pillow and sofa are very comfortable. I was able to adjust the Aircon and keep myself warm and comfortable. In room dining service was excellent. I ordered a vegetarian dish and it was tasty. Hotel is conveniently situated within CBD and I am able to walk over to wherever I want or take tram and travel around the city. The king bed was 2 singles zipped together. Not a fan, the first night they had forgotten the mattress protectors etc so the ridge of the 2 mattresses was awful. Came back to the room the 2nd afternoon and for some reason the bed had been made into 2 singles🤷 no idea. Situated within the free tram zone, stations are just downstairs if not within a quick walk. The king bed room is large and spacious for easy packing and unpacking. It is new and clean that is the carpet has no smell. It is near Chinatown as well. The location is perfect next to great shopping malls, food options and transport services. We stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day.
The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel.
For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.FromSGD 258

The service was almost impeccable. The staff were all professional and friendly, and many details were handled very well. However, a slight disappointment was that the room's cleanliness could be improved. For example, the phone in the toilet was noticeably dirty, which slightly affected the overall experience. But when I reported the issue to the front desk, they waived some minor charges for me.

However, sharing a room with ten people can feel quite cramped, and the experience heavily depends on the cleanliness and habits of your roommates. I often heard phone conversations at night, and personal belongings were sometimes scattered across the floor. While these factors are beyond the hostel's control, they can affect the overall experience.
Restroom Condition:
The bathrooms could be brighter and feel a bit dated. A renovation would be beneficial to improve their appearance.

We had a lovely trip in all until the last day. We decided to use the washer and dryer in the room over night before our checkout only to wake up in the morning to find it had malfunctioned. We had a “late” checkout of 10.30 and upon letting the manager on duty know of the issue around 9am we were only given until 11 to check out. A maintenance man came to look at the machine and was just told it was broken. We were told to use the communal dryers but because the machine had malfunctioned the clothes were dripping wet and after a wasted 2 hours of our final day in Melbourne we reluctantly threw away some clothes and packed the remainder damp. The manager did nothing to assist us or actually show any concern except for us leaving the room. We had also minor issues with the room and hair balls every where and not being able to get our room serviced on a Sunday for some reason. The kettle mouth was dirty, so we didnt use it. The lightning wasn'r bright, so it was hard for me to use the make up. They need to replaced the lights to a brighter light bulb.
The first night we stayed there we asked the staff for a new towles, when we returned the room was made so that was good. The 2nd night we stayed there my partner asked the receptionist if we could get a new towles, when we came back from our outting the room wasn't being made and we were very dissapointed.

Facilities: The facilities are modern and well-maintained. It was also the only hotel I've stayed at in Australia that provided toothbrushes and toothpaste, which was a pleasant surprise.
Cleanliness: Our room was spacious, tidy, and impeccably clean.
Location: The location is absolutely prime, right in the city center. It's incredibly convenient for exploring everything, and it's right next door to Chinatown.

My partner and I recently stayed at Citadines on Bourke for a week and found it to be the perfect base for exploring Melbourne.
The location is truly unbeatable. Situated right on the Paris end of Bourke Street, we were steps away from tram stops, the Parliament train station, and some of the city's best cafes, restaurants, and theatres. Everything in the CBD was easily walkable.
We booked a studio apartment and were very pleased with the space. It was modern, clean, and surprisingly quiet given the central location. The kitchenette was well-equipped with a cooktop, microwave, and fridge, which allowed us to prepare simple meals and save on dining out. The included free WiFi was fast and reliable, which was a huge plus.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, offering great recommendations for local eats. The 24-hour reception also provided peace of mind. While we didn't use the gym, it looked well-maintained.

I recently stayed at the Quincy Hotel for a business/leisure trip and found it to be an excellent choice for the value-conscious traveler.
The standout features are undoubtedly the included amenities: quality coffee, evening drinks, and a stocked mini-bar. These touches add significant value and are executed well. The hotel's design is fresh, modern, and tech-savvy, with a buzzing lobby atmosphere.
The location on Commercial Place is ideal, putting you within easy walking distance of the CBD's key areas, public transport, and Melbourne's famous laneway culture. The room, while compact (as is common for city-center hotels), was very functional, quiet, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Staff were professional and check-in/out was seamless. For those needing more space, it might be worth inquiring about a larger room category. For a solo traveler or a couple, it's perfect.

The Pullman Melbourne Albert Park was a beautiful place to stay! 10/10 would recommend and would stay again. Concierge staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
