We arrived at the Grange Motel very early in the day, before our room was ready. Staff instantly made us feel welcome, made me a coffee and let us use the restroom after our long flight. They made recommendations for how to spend our day and let us leave our car there while we explored Auckland (via Uber). When we returned, we asked for and received excellent dinner recommendations and, all on their own, they wrote a full page of ideas for things to do in another city we were planning to visit a few days later! The house can host over 20 pps, if your group bigger than that, pls message us and disscuss the possibility. - 1000 sqm private garden. Doesnt look much from the outside but the rooms have been nicely renovated and have everything you need for an over night stay (disregard the slept in beds!). Shared communal kitchen on the ground floor if you dont want to eat out. No elevator so if you dont like stairs ask for a ground floor unit. Walking distance to fast food restaurants and backs onto shopping centre with foodcourt kmart and countdown. 20 minutes or so from airport so close if you need a cheap overnight stay before or after a flight. 2 adults and 2 small children, room was big enough for us all and beds for everyone.FromHK$491

I stayed at the property on the 5th February 2023, in Auckland for work. The checkin process was easy, the room was new, clean and pleasant But at 12.30am i was woken to somebody trying to get into my room. I thought they had the wrong room and would realise but then i heard the lock go and the door started to open which is when i jumped out of bed and stopped the person from coming through. He was standing there with a key in his hand and a bag. He said he thought the room was empty !!! In the morning i looked at the door handle and there was nowhere on the door that a key could be inserted they were opened with a card I reported this to the reception in the morning and told them to check the cameras in the building, the response i got back was not good enough and i was told there was a night porter on. I didn't see a night porter on the property If a guy can access my room in the middle of the night then that means that myself and my belongings were not safe at this property I sent them a follow up email last week and have heard nothing from themFromHK$441
