Wonderful hotel stay on NYE! Beautiful hotel that was decorated nicely for Christmas and the holidays. Excellent work out facility with a Peloton bike. Huge shoutout to Hanna at the front desk! We called the hotel and spoke with a female representative on-site before booking the reservation and she was extremely unhelpful with offering competitive rates or explaining the breakfast options at the hotel. We were on the fence with staying but happy we did. Upon check-in, Hanna was friendly, gracious and offered a suggestion to a local bar for a drink to ring in the New Year. Huge thank you as this settled our nerves with staying. The morning breakfast was nice - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fruit (whole and cut), pastries, bagels, juice, coffee. Very filling and much more than the “continental breakfast” the representative mentioned on the phone. It is possible that the breakfast was expanded due to New Years Day but it was perfect for us. Our only frustration was the guide on the TV did not match what was actually showing. We did scratch our heads as to why the rooms were designed with opaque sliding doors on the restroom with the toilet right there and so close to the bed. You could lay in bed, watch TV and see the silhouette of someone on the toilet all at the same time. Understandably it was a renovated building with smaller rooms but the design could have resulted with more consideration for those doing their business on the toilet. 🤔 The hotel provided complimentary parking which was appreciated as the street was busy with NYE and a vehicle sideswiping/hitting 3 vehicles shortly after midnight and leaving the scene. We are thankful that our vehicle was safe in the parking garage and the mandatory $10 parking charge did not go into affect until Jan. 1 (the day we checked out). We did have an issue with our validated ticket “not being valid” in the machine but the hotel manager came out and ensured we were good and on our way. Thank you for a great stay!From$108

We stayed at the Drury July 8th thru the 10th of July, 2022. The rate was excellent considering the amenities offered. Breakfast and Happy Hour were included. Parking was easy and the hotel location is central to everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was quiet, clean, and had a fridge and microwave., and a view. The beds were comfortable. I loved that The Drury installed soap dispensers in the shower instead of the wasteful little individual plastic bottles. Another excellent old school perk is room service!!! The AVÍ restaurant is adjacent to the hotel and has excellent food. Being a former resident of Wichita, I do enjoyed all the old pictures of downtown Wichita in it’s heyday. I only have two recommendations….more luggage racks and clean the outside of the windows. Other than that, I will be back.From$128

I almost didn’t stay here based on the reviews, I’m glad I did stay here. Free parking is available in a city lot about a block away, or pay to park at hotel. I’d say equal in terms of security. Once again my mobile key didn’t work, but the front desk staff was friendly and took care of it. Keep in mind at this time other than their pantry there is no F&B service at this property. I had a huge king room. It overlooked the street the hotel is on, a busy street that runs through Old Town. The room was quiet and comfortable. In terms of Covid clean, this was a Courtyard PUR Clean room that would have benefited by some wipes being left for the remote etc.From$138

We had a very short stay but it wasn't comfortable at all. Upon walking in the hotel it smelled of smoke. Entering the elevator there was etch mark writing on the display cover and floors were very dirty. We got to our floor and it smelled like *********. Our room had a huge stain on the floor my the bathroom, end table had its finish bubbling up, the water smelled funny and the heater made a squeaking, clicking noise all night making it difficult to sleep. We usually stay at Airbnb but decided to try and find a good deal for a short time. I just wish hotels these days would really take their reviews seriously and let it show in a positive way. We stopped at this hotel on our first night of a destination vacation to meet our family. Thinking it was a safe place I parked our truck with a boat under a double pole street light on the property. The night clerk who checked us in was really pleasant and helpful. We felt good about our choice. The room was clean and well appointed, the breakfast staff pleasant but not overly helpful. When we went out to our vehicle we found out vehicle broken into, glass all over the place and all of our personal things in the vehicle gone. I immediately went to the front desk and that woman was totally useless. She could care less. I asked if they had cameras, if I could speak with the manager. She was useless and could care less. Since the manager was not in I asked for him Mark Stark to call us. That never happened, never. The start of our vacation was difficult because we arrived to our final destination with the clothes we were wearing. Mr. Stark never bothered to call. We did research and found Wichita to have the highest property crime rate of the entire country. Please take our advise and go someplace other than Wichita and especially avoid the Comfort Suites on E. 36th Street. According to the way we were treated, having your vehicle broken into is a common experience.From$85

Check-in/out process was a little slow, but attributable to it being the person’s first day on the job. However, our request for a quiet room away from the elevator (as we were traveling with our dog) which was made at the point of booking was not accommodated. The room itself was decent. Sufficiently clean but very dated. Bedroom and shower felt cleaner than the kitchen. There was a slight issue with the water, which stopped for a while and ran blackish when it came back. Internet speed was grievously intermittent and slow. It’s a dog-friendly hotel and there were adequate grassy relief patches surrounding the motel. It would have been nice if bags were made easily available to pick up the poop. Breakfast was basic - toast/bagels/muffins, biscuits and gravy (cold and gummy, unfortunately), and a waffle machine.

|8.07km from city centerBooked a room for myself and two young children for 2 nights in February 2022. Requested a room on the highest floor and extra pillows as guest preferences-received neither. Requested these in advance as I knew we would utilize the sofa bed. Sofa bed had broken wood sticking out of the bottom and the mattress wouldn’t unfold flatly. Day 1- hotel pool was overcrowded and kids were throwing misc items throughout the pool area so you couldn’t even be in the pool room without having to watch your head from things flying around. Told the front desk, they said they would follow up and agreed that wasn’t appropriate, 30 minutes later, still occurring. Day 2- room toilet stopped flushing. Called and visited the front desk, was told maintenance had a lot of rooms to take care of so it would likely be a while. Asked about changing rooms and was told none were available. Emailed the contact email on the IHG app about changing rooms due to not having a bathroom available, still no response as of today. Checked out yesterday. Night 2- dog parking in the room next to ours. Called front desk twice, they said each time they would send maintenance to look into it. Could also hear a man in the room yelling at the dog to shut up. Tried to go back to sleep, woken back up at 11:45 by the dog barking and the man yelling. Called the front desk and asked about moving rooms or if they could please do something about the dog and asked if the dogs were allowed to cause a disturbance, no response about the dog but she said yes they could move me. So myself traveling alone with kids had to pack up all of our belongings and move in the middle of the night. Was told on the phone the room would be on the 8th floor. I said I didn’t think there were rooms available on 8 and she said “there have been plenty of rooms on the 8th floor available this week.” I was told at check in my preference for the top floor could not be accommodated. Had an 8 year old that couldn’t sleep after moving rooms, got to the second room and the remote to the TV didn’t work. Checkout day- was given a $20 credit to the attached restaurant for dine in only. Told the front desk we wouldn’t be able to use that, which I’m assuming was some sort of compensation for having to move rooms in the middle of the night. She said ok, we’ll take that back then. I asked if it was normal to not make the guests with the disruptive animal move rooms versus us. She said no, we usually just move whoever complains. I was exhausted from not getting much sleep either night. The kids and I each felt itchy in both beds, I couldn’t visually identify anything and we don’t have sensitive skin but it’s as enough at times to wake me up. This one provided comfortable beds, a clean environment (main room, bathroom, and the hotel in general), and pleasant service. When you're greeted with smiles, that is the biggest part of a decent stay. I did not get names of employees, as we were anxious to get checked in, and wrap up a day of lengthy driving, but appreciated everyone. Our stay was essentially an overnight stop on a trip from Minnesota to Arizona. It provided absolutely everything we needed: cleanliness, and comfortable beds. Thank you, Hampton Inn, for providing all that we needed for our long trek!

Super comfy beds, furniture that was both pet-friendly and nice, and room was sparkly clean! It was so helpful to have a kitchenette and large fridge. Anna(?) was professional and helpful with checking in. Great area for dogs. Extra touches like a little swag bag for our pup.

|9.28km from city centerI really liked my overnight stay at this property. It has a nice curb appeal as you drive up. Inside the lobby, hallways and room are nicely maintained. I did not see any tell-tell signs of worn tired product. Either it's been renovated recently, or major kudos to the maintenance team. This property was so nice, convenient and reasonably priced that I gave it four stars in spite of the staff. Their friendly score would be a 1 for me. I would like to assume the staff shortage nationwide is the issue because the employees here just do not show any effort to care. I might even say they are rude. I ran into this at the front desk, the clean team on my floor and the attendant working the morning breakfast. FYI breakfast is included in the price of admission, but it's average at best. The vast majority of the food is high calorie, carbohydrate filled and/or greasy. There is healthy food available, but you have to search to find their alternative options.

When I first walked in, I was greeted by the stench of cigarette smoke. Not a good start. The front desk clerk was not rude. He was cordial, but not overly friendly. Check in was smooth. I was not recognized as a Diamond Choice Rewards member. Not a huge deal, but other properties are good about that. No business center, but the clerk was very kind to make copies for me and did so quickly. On to the room. The positives - very spacious and a decent work area. The bed seemed clean and had no bed bugs - I checked. It was pretty easy to keep the room temperature consistent. Negatives - Hair in the tub. Need to do a better job. The carpet is ancient and showing lots of wear. There was peeling paint in the bathroom. Behind the entry door to the room was debris that looked to have been there for a long time. There were also ”interesting” characters hanging around the motel. I don't get intimidated, but I could see how some folks would. The motel is obviously in need of an upgrade to bring it up to Choice standards. It's just not there. I would probably stay again, but I would never allow my wife to stay there or even have her stay there with me. It's just not good enough. The place has potential, but it just isn't living up to high standards.

Consistently nice to all - even giving food away to staff and others. For this what do you get? Lied to and **** on. Lies #1) As discussed w/ #2 maid ”would you rather clean it 60 X [the days they got by w/o cleaning it], or once and have it be the work of 2 Xs?” ”Oh it's no problem Mary said.” The HEAD MAID saw my room the week before as when she was next door and had her come in and look. I said it had not been cleaned by them for weeks, could we tidy it up so it's not as tough when I leave.” ”DON'T WORRY” SHE SAID, ”IT'S NO WORSE THAN THE OTHERS”. STILL, she was supposed to come back some time and work w/ me to do a few tidy up things. She never came back - still I tidied some things up. (Most all trash that might not have been picked up, etc. They tried to upcharge me for cleaning a room they could have otherwise had to do OVER 60 TIMES! Lie #2) The day before I checked out the Front Desk MISTAKENLY came by thinking I was checking out that day. (WRONG, I was paid through the next day. Thanks for the hassle though!) When she was by I asked if I could check out with no charge a little late. She asked hoe late. I said 1:30. She said ”that's okay”. The next day I left at 1:30. They submitted an upcharge for that. HAD THAT NOT ASSURDED ME THINGS WERE OKAY I WOULD HAVE DONE THINGS DIFFERENTLY. BUT THEY TOLD ME IT WAS OKAY BY 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE!! That's it. Their numerous LIES and disrespect for a super nice and giving tenant for month of lodging and thousands of dollars WILL NOT STAND AND WE CAN GO TO COURT AND I WILL SUBPEONA STAFF FOR THIER STATMENTS IF NEED BE. This is piss poor treatment of long term good residents.

This is all lies they don't have a lottery facility not a washer in the building which is one of the reasons I've got the room, they don't have free breakfast all this is a homemade coffee pot of coffee with generic sugar and cream next to it there's no breakfast at all no food, The place is old and very run down it looks nothing like the pictures at least 30 years old They don't even have a 24 hour front desk I could get ahold of the front desk all night long when I kept trying to call. And the people that stay in that motel are people that live there I did not see any guests from out of town or any guests at all they were all people lived there permanently! I am completely embarrassed for Wyndham to have their name on this hotel because obviously they haven't been there to inspect it or see it it is atrocious!!!

|11.58km from city centerWe arrived around 5pm. This was the last hotel of our 3 week trip. And we ended our trip with a good one. We were greeted right away by a very friendly woman. She was a good start to our visit. The hotel is fresh looking, and it has a good vibe as soon as you walk in. Very appealing to the eyes. This style of hotel is one of my favorites. A very familiar feel, similar to several hotels I have stayed at in Europe. I love it. Our room was clean, comfortable, looked good, and smelled good. Everything worked fine. A huge tv. The beds were quite comfortable. I really enjoyed this room. The area where the hotel is located has several dining options close by, along with an entertainment complex next door. And an indoor and outdoor Pickleball complex, was just across the parking lot. A very fun area. The breakfast was very good. Plenty to offer. We did not go away hungry. And yummy coffee. Everyone we had contact with at the hotel was very nice. We had a great visit. I would absolutely return.

|7.62km from city centerRed Roof Inn review below. worst hotel experience I have ever had! our first room had no air conditioning at all. we called the front desk because our tv wasn’t working either. he came up to fix the tv and said maybe he could find us a fan! (it was 94 degrees out). we left and came back and it was hotter in our room than outside. we were able to switch rooms so fine. the mattresses were aweful but at least it wasn’t 100 degrees. the next morning 3 different people came into our room without knocking wondering why we were there. I told them we had switched rooms and asked them to make sure it was noted we would be there the rest of the week. our keys stopped working so we had to go up and down and up to the 4th floor several times before they believed us and sent maintenance. he fixed the locks finally and next time we left and came back ALL of our stuff was thrown away in trash bags. my car keys were found in the bottom of a trash bag loose which took an hour to find. a manager came up and could clearly see I was upset and crying and left saying someone would come up that could translate to the housekeeper to locate missing items. no one ever came! we had gone to the nifty nuthouse that day to get a bunch of chocolates and candies and our food and chocolates were thrown away in a mixed bag of trash as the other rooms. we had delicate electronics just tossed in the bottom of trash bags. The entire hotel smelled like smoke and ****. And had to pay full price for the two horrific nights spent there! They didn’t compensate any of the lost items because I needed an itemized list and I had to spend hours at another hotel just going through trash bags trying to find everything. Not to mention I was told I was not allowed to go through the trash bag that was mixed with the other rooms.

|0.62km from city centerWe stayed at the Drury July 8th thru the 10th of July, 2022. The rate was excellent considering the amenities offered. Breakfast and Happy Hour were included. Parking was easy and the hotel location is central to everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was quiet, clean, and had a fridge and microwave., and a view. The beds were comfortable. I loved that The Drury installed soap dispensers in the shower instead of the wasteful little individual plastic bottles. Another excellent old school perk is room service!!! The AVÍ restaurant is adjacent to the hotel and has excellent food. Being a former resident of Wichita, I do enjoyed all the old pictures of downtown Wichita in it’s heyday. I only have two recommendations….more luggage racks and clean the outside of the windows. Other than that, I will be back.

|9.03km from city centerWe stopped here on our way back home from Spring Break. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and attentive. After getting settled in our room we went down to the pool. The hot tub was more like sitting in warm bath water and the water was murky. There is very limited seating for those not getting in the water. Our room seemed partially updated. The flooring was in poor shape. The area right inside the door is hard flooring and was incredibly sticky--like someone before us spilled a soda and wiped it up with napkins. The transition ***** to the carpet was loose and flopping around. The carpet seemed clean but looked old. The beds were newer and very comfortable but the pillows were very flat. We paid extra for breakfast to be included and were disappointed. We were in a hurry to get back on the road so opted for the buffet which was very limited. The scrambled eggs were luke warm and relatively tasteless. The only other warm options were hash browns (which we didn't try), bacon and sausage. The bacon and sausage were tasty. We had higher expectations for the hotel and the friendly staff and comfortable beds were about the only positives. We likely won't stay here again.

Entering the elevator there was etch mark writing on the display cover and floors were very dirty. We got to our floor and it smelled like *********. Our room had a huge stain on the floor my the bathroom, end table had its finish bubbling up, the water smelled funny and the heater made a squeaking, clicking noise all night making it difficult to sleep. We usually stay at Airbnb but decided to try and find a good deal for a short time. I just wish hotels these days would really take their reviews seriously and let it show in a positive way. Will not stay here again
