The hotel is conveniently located right next to Junction City shopping mall and directly across from Holy Trinity Cathedral. It's also adjacent to Bogyoke Aung San Market, where you can find jewelry and other goods. Shwedagon Pagoda, Chinatown, and other attractions are all within walking distance, and Shwedagon Pagoda is just a 6-minute drive away, making it incredibly convenient for both shopping and sightseeing.
The hotel boasts four specialty restaurants and one bar, catering to diverse tastes. Hai Tien Lo is an award-winning Cantonese restaurant offering stunning views of the Yangon River and Shwedagon Pagoda. Saan restaurant serves international cuisine all day, while Pacific Marketplace provides a lavish breakfast with a wide array of dishes including Okonomiyaki and Indian food. The Teak Bar allows guests to enjoy cocktails with panoramic views of the Yangon skyline. Unfortunately, when we visited, there was only a menu but no staff, possibly due to fewer guests in winter.

This is the only hotel I stay in when visiting Yangon, the staff are super friendly and the facilities are very well maintained. The spa is a must visit, the gym is small but more than enough for your needs, and the large pool is very clean. The breakfast buffet have many options, dimsum, local burmese dishes, and western dishes. They also have an out deck bar with a decent view. There is a mall right next door with more food options and a convenience store.From$63

This is perhaps one of few premium hotels that are still considerate to smoking patrons and offer smoking rooms which is why I selected it. My room was on the 3rd floor, with direct access to the pool. The room was clean, spacious and modestly comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, delivering wide assortment and variety. There is a night club on site, however closed with anticipated opening from April 2026. The gym is clean and fully equipped. Look forward to staying here again.From$39

I booked a premier double room with city view Queen size bed via Trip.com The room I booked had a balcony, but when I checked in, it turned out that the room I got did not have a balcony, so I complained to the staff. The staff were happy to upgrade me to a room with a balcony. They were very enthusiastic. I really like the room. The room is spacious and comfortable. The price is not as expensive as you think. The hotel is located near Kandawgyi Lake. You can walk to Kandawgyi park for exercise or relax. However, there is no safe in the room. For those visiting Yangon, I recommend staying at this hotel.From$29

Everything was good👌👌👌😍💙…The only downside was that you might feel too lazy to go out or sightsee because the hotel room was very comfortable, and it was extremely hot outside😅 —- You could just stay in your room, enjoy the view, go for a swim, or have a spa day….
The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and they even changed some of the dishes the next day. My favorite was the sauna—it was really good. I also loved the hot shower, as it didn’t turn cold even after being on for a long time😍
The massages were great, and the prices were reasonable…. The staff were very helpful and kind…. There were occasional power interruptions, but they only lasted a few seconds since the hotel’s backup power kicked in immediately…
+ Although it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, you can take a Grab—it’s affordable and the best option since it gets really hot during the day….From$38

Nice hotel, a 17-minute walk to Shwedagon Pagoda. Be more selective with your room choice upon arrival, as on the first night, my friend and I were given a ground-floor room with a view of pipes, a single bed, and a narrow toilet. After I requested a change, we were moved to a room one floor up, with two beds and a view of the neighboring rooftops.
The staff are friendly and attentive; they'll help with any extra requests and you can store your luggage for free.
Breakfast is a bit sparse, no boiled eggs, but otherwise, it's decent for an Asian-style breakfast. Be prepared for crows to swoop in on your food if you step away from the table, though the staff are on guard!From$25

Balmi Hotel is located in the heart of the city, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was reasonably clean, offering a comfortable stay.
However, I did encounter an issue that needs attention. I spotted two small cockroaches during my stay. While this did not ruin my experience, it needs to improve pest control measures. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall quality of the stay.
Despite this, Balmi has a lot to offer and could easily be a top choice for travelers once this issue is resolved.From$28

It's a true journey through time, an enchan**ent that takes you to a ship from the year 1920. Several original details, such as a clock, the minibar inside a barrel, the bluetooth speaker that imitates a record player, all the leather furniture. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it, without a doubt, it was a beautiful experience. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi connection was sometimes unreliable in the room, but even that was a minor issue.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!
