We stayed overnight on our way from Shimla to mussoorie. Reached quite late but the caretaker Kundan Singh was extremely polite and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We stayed in room which was large and comfortable but then realised in the morning that there were even better rooms. It is located in a quiet place surrounded by a fairly rich forest. A good place for a quiet hoiday

The heritage status adds to the overall appeal, ***** with the central and secure location. The service is average and the staff's professionalism is at a solid average too. My bathroom was not properly cleaned, and my dinner meal of 3 items took a good 45 minutes (approx) to be served. The attendant who took care of me could do with some more politeness and professionalism, though he did not misbehave in any overt manner. The managers were largely good. Food was average.
