Our experience at hotel himalaya was mixed. While the location is great and it offers convenient parking, the staff were not as welcoming or polite as expected, which left a less-than-ideal impression. The rooms were decent and provided the basics for a comfortable stay. We didn’t try the food at the hotel since there are plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, it’s an average stay, but the service could be improved.

Overall it was a pleasant stay and the staff was quite helpful. I didn't have any issue while checking in and checking out. Wifi connection was good, so there was no problem at all. The room with mini Theater was really good and common area had interesting games . Things to improve: Wifi can be unlimited instead of 2 GB per day. Bonfire was allowed only when there was 60% occupancy, it should be allowed everyday.

I am typically wary of flowery coverage of Hotels that are featured in Travel magazines, as they are more driven and fueled by the special treatments that the authors got, leading them to celebrate the hotel more than it deserves to be. This was one such case! Both Outlook traveller and Travel + Leisure had celebrated this way more than it deserves. But still it had its highlights. I would have given 3 stars, but raising it upto 4 stars only because of the lovely setting, the sweet and hardworking staff, and the quality of Food etc. Frankly speaking, I am not a big fan of the label ‘Hidden gem’. But this boutique beauty - that is stunningly situated on a clifftop against a striking backdrop of hills and terrace fields - certainly deserves that title! You can get treated to panoramic views of the Kumaon Hills leading to the magnificent Himalayas right from your Balcony! Unfortunately, during our stay the weather fairy wasn't on our side. The imposing peaks of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Panchachuli, Trishul were teasingly playing Peekaboo with us all day long - just like Mt Fuji did with us in Japan, or Mt.Rainier used to do in Seattle! Nonetheless, the views were still stunning enough and this was one of the closest encounters with the hills we had been blessed with in the recent past! LOCATION: Stunning location on a Clifftop and just 80 minutes drive from Bhimtal. DINE + DRINK: They dont have a BAR as advertised, and the restaurant could certainly be better decorated or setup. HOwever the food was to die for! THe Chef whipped up some wicked meals for us. The Kumaoni Thali in the night got us high on food. And the breakfast was divine - Piping hot Masala Maggi and Puffed up Pooris under the winter sun accompanied by flavorful Masala Chai!! ROOM: We stayed in 306, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular views of the Kumaon Hills and Himalayas ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: No A/C as the nature did a great job of setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: OK Justa cosmetics. Bring your own FACILITIES: No Gym on site. And the Pool was closed due to Covid. So DONT BELIEVE THE GLAMOROUS pics you see on these travel magazines and expect a fun time in the Pool. They do have a Spa on site though, though the quality and experience of the staff looked questionable SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to DILIP KUMAR, DINESH, and GAJENDAR at the restaurant. And RAMESH who attended to our special requests. They can surely do better with the FRONT OFFICE staff who certainly needed a lot of training and coaching! The best thing about this property is the location. It’s located on the Mall Road right near Tallital. Breakfast package was prepared, because we left at 06.00. Suggestion: the soft drinks cooled would be nice (ice cubes were offered). In the room at the long desk ***** the wall, please 1 or 2 power outlets to connect your laptop and such.

We stayed overnight at Prashant’s homestay in Nainital with my parents, and it was a wonderful experience. The place is beautiful and peaceful, exactly what you’d want for a getaway in the hills. Prashant is honestly the best host you could ask for. He is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. His hospitality made all three of us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Nainital looking for comfort, charm, and a truly welcoming host.

I had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is extremely clean, comfortable, and completely free from any unpleasant smells. The housekeeping team does an excellent job maintaining the rooms and common areas. The bed was very comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep during my trip. The hotel manager and staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Most of the staff speak English, making communication easy. Even for those who speak limited English, they always try their best to assist with a smile. The food was delicious, and there were plenty of options to enjoy during my stay. I would also like to compliment the security guards, who were very friendly, and made me feel safe throughout my visit. The location is another big advantage. There are many shops, restaurants, hair saloon and banks within walking distance, making everything very convenient. Overall, a fantastic experience. Clean rooms is the best, great food, excellent service, and a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff is friendly and helpful.  The room was clean, only the toilet was free and I couldn't close the chain at the door, it was defect. The door lock worked. The restaurant has excellent dishes. I had spring rolls, vegetarian lasagne and a chocolate brownie with ice cream. All has tasted wonderfully. I can recommend the hotel for short stays!

Overall the stay was good. Staff was good and also helped us with early check in. The location of hotel is very good very near to the bus stand or taxi stand. The only issue is that the bathroom was little smelly and also there was a leakage somewhere in the bathroom.

It was a lovely stay at this property. Our main purpose was to visit Neem Karoli Baba, and this property is conveniently located nearby. While Nainital faces a lot of traffic congestion, this place is slightly off the main Nainital road, making it an ideal and peaceful stay. Parking is a big issue in Nainital, but this place had ample parking space, so we faced no problems at all. Upon arrival, we were offered a welcome drink, and the check-in process was seamless. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and ensure our comfort. The room was clean, and overall, we had a great stay. My family and I enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended for a peaceful and comfortable stay!
