Check in fast but when we got to the room it was not what we booked. So we had to wait till the preped the actual room we booked. However, they gave us free cocktails while we waited so it was good for the room mishap. When we got the actual room we booked it was great. The bathtub was the best we had in Sri Lanka. This time, I had to stay one more night near the airport because I made a mistake in my flight return time. I found this hotel very quickly. The reviews on the website were very bad, but the local tour guide told me that it was not as described on the website, so I was curious and decided to actually visit. Although I only stayed for one night, the hotel staff was very friendly. I had lunch and dinner. Nilu from the restaurant was very enthusiastic and professional and asked about the status of my meal. I happened to have a company meeting at dinner time, and the bread 🥖 ordered outdoors was cold. She also helped me replace it with a new plate. I also ordered Thai seafood soup, but it was too salty. I also reported it to her. She specifically mentioned this problem to the chef, and the chef also re-cooked it and personally came out to apologize to me. This hotel is the most cost-effective in my trip. The previous two adults and one child were all over 2000, but here there is no need to add a bed. It is within three digits. I saw that the room next door costs more than 2,000. The room is large and the balcony is also super large. The front desk helped us upgrade the room for free. The whole hotel feels like a resort. This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.FromSEK 736

The hotel I chose for transit in Negombo is roughly equivalent to the level of a three-star hotel in China. The breakfast is self-service with a wide variety of options, and the fruits and banana yogurt are well received. Check-in was very fast, and I give a thumbs up to the guy at the front desk. I gave the guy who carried the luggage a tip of 100 rupees, and he seemed very happy. What I was not satisfied with was that I booked a superior king-size bed room, but ended up getting a double standard room. I don't know if there was a problem with the system. Jetwing Beach is lovely hotel.
Right on the beach, good spacious rooms, with everything you need, very clean and good AC.
Rooms over look the pool and beach which is nice to wake up to every morning.
The staff are a credit to the hotel with fantastic service from house keeping to reception to pool attendants. Could not fault it. Food and Drinks are excellent too, try the Terrace Bar for cocktails you won’t be disappointed.
Food is good value at the Beach / Pool Bar too

We arrived at the hotel around nine o'clock in the evening. The owner was already waiting there and welcomed us warmly. He also gave us a local sweet and sour drink and then patiently introduced relevant information to us.
The homestay is very nicely decorated, the water pressure and temperature are very suitable for showering, there is also a small balcony, and there are no mosquitoes. When I went downstairs at night, there was music playing on the speakers in the living room, it was so romantic! ! ! I walked around the hotel's garden, sat on a rocking chair, and felt the breeze under the lights. It was very comfortable.
We agreed on a breakfast time, but he was 20 minutes late and didn't rush us. When we arrived at the restaurant, the proprietress brought us the hot breakfast, and the boss patiently and politely introduced each dish to us.
A very rich breakfast, you can choose black tea or coffee, with drinking water and fruit drinks, grilled sausage and lava fried eggs, I love it! Local pasta and fruits, mainly sweet, toasted toast, jam and butter, don't be too perfect~

The hotel is about half an hour away from the airport. You can book a shuttle at the front desk for about US$20 per trip. There is a beach downstairs, but the beach is a bit dirty and the sand is co****. The room is quite clean, you need to bring your own slippers, but the soundproofing is average. There is a KTV upstairs and it is a bit noisy before 9pm. There is a bar and swimming pool on the top floor, which is quite large and has a good view. There is a restaurant on the 6th floor. The staff are very enthusiastic, especially the restaurant manager. He is very nice and the pasta is very good. My brother who had a flight to catch a flight told the manager in advance that they can take it away. The price is about the same as at the airport, but his salads are better. There are a lot of colorful peppers and raw onions, and other dishes use some Sri Lankan spices, which are similar to strong curry flavor, so friends who are not used to it should order with caution. This time I stayed in a Luxury Room.
The design was lovely and I'm glad I stayed there.
I didn't get to swim in the 100-meter pool, but I did take a nap by the pool.
The food in the restaurant was delicious.
Feeling the lagoon breeze while eating my meal was great.

Given the location, it's unavoidable, but there was a slight fishy smell coming from the front desk, and the bathroom was outside, so the smell was a bit bothersome.
It was the end of the year, so I could hear loud singing, probably from a neighboring party, which made me feel uneasy.
There was no safe, so they had to bring one for me, and the kettle was turned off, so I had to move some furniture to get it to work, but they responded quickly when I contacted them.

The hotel was very nice and smiling Jess girl, very fast settled in the room, breakfast was continental for our choice, delicious but coffee soluble. The pool is good, medium size, we often swam in it. To the sea go minutes 7, the sea in November with waves and dirty, the beach is not very clean, lots of locals and Hindus. I got off the plane late, because I had to go to the fish market in Niganbu early, and I specially set this place. As the first night of landing in Sri Lanka, the hotel was very good. The door is open sideways, not very obvious. The reception was very warm and I kindly exchanged travel advice when I checked out. The facilities are not complete, there are no dental appliances, the wooden door needs to be locked with a key, but it is very clean, and the bed table bathroom in the whole room is spotless. Old beautiful hotel located near the port. Room was big and clean, the toilet is old and not that pleasant. Its near to the train station just walking distance. I took a train from there to kandy. Convenient resort hotel
The location is in the alley at the end of the section, which is relatively biased, but it is also convenient
On the day of check-in, the manager upgraded us to the family room and got a large space, very good! It was seven or eight o'clock when we checked in. The manager Mr. Mareen was very warm and received a delicious juice 🍹! The check-in process is also very concerned about our needs and safety, which is very heartwarming.
However, the hotel facilities are a bit old and there are many traces of use. Be careful that there is no hair dryer, spare parts and slippers in the room (but we have them ourselves), the TV may not operate, it is impossible to watch.
Because it is located at the beach, there are really a lot of mosquitoes. We played mosquitoes all night, and maybe the tenants went to the beach and brought too much sand. The floor and bathroom mats were a little traces. We prefer to step on barefoot. I really feel that cleanliness can be strengthened!

In the evening listening to music and birdsong, watching the stars, occasionally fireflies fly by, children playing in the swimming pool, the years are quiet, but the next day the plane returns to Shanghai. I booked this one for my parents.
Initially the hotel had made a mistake. My parents were one hour late to check in. Still there was a person in their room. The hotel had given my parents a different room for one hour. As a compensation for the trouble, they gave a suite for the last night of my parents’ staying.
