Amazing hotel with a lot of care and thought put into the little details. Feels very unique with the suites having a very architectural type feel, example recsess in the bathroom for light features and shelving etc. the door however had an old rusty handle which would fault, locking you in! Had to leave the door open propped by a bin. The pool is beautiful although not as clean as our previous hotel at Heritance Negombo, a few doors up. The power also cut out 10+ times over an hour period. Maybe the switch between solar to grid needs to be upgraded. The single lift is also very old and tiny. Definitely needs an upgrade. Spa was good, breakfast was fairly standard however fresh pancakes were a treat after 2 weeks of eating stale hard ones at other buffets haha

It suited its purpose to be close to the airport, but otherwise there is not much to do in the area neither in the hotel. I would not stay longer than necessary. The hotels facilities are basic, rooms a bit outdated, though gym is quite good. Pool is nice and breakfast tasty and good variety

We initially booked for one day, but loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay. Everything was excellent – from the reception and check-in to the pool, beach access, and breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.

This hotel is the most cost-effective in my trip. The previous two adults and one child were all over 2000, but here there is no need to add a bed. It is within three digits. I saw that the room next door costs more than 2,000. The room is large and the balcony is also super large. The front desk helped us upgrade the room for free. The whole hotel feels like a resort. It is in the villa area and very quiet. Next time I come to Negombo, Sri Lanka, I must stay two more nights.

This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

The hotel I chose for transit in Negombo is roughly equivalent to the level of a three-star hotel in China. The breakfast is self-service with a wide variety of options, and the fruits and banana yogurt are well received. Check-in was very fast, and I give a thumbs up to the guy at the front desk. I gave the guy who carried the luggage a tip of 100 rupees, and he seemed very happy. What I was not satisfied with was that I booked a superior king-size bed room, but ended up getting a double standard room. I don't know if there was a problem with the system. Also, the plug of the washbasin was blocked, and I didn't know how to open it🥹

It's close to the airport. It may be convenient for a little stay due to time. But there are no shops or buses nearby. Nearby bus stop or train station It is difficult to walk without using a taxi or tuk-tuk. There are no amenities. I need to bring it. The room only has a rack, a chair, and a trash can for hanging clothes. There is breakfast. Food is to be eaten on the roof terrace. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 cuisine milk rice, coconut 🥥 used samball served. It was spicy but very delicious. Hotel tuk 🏨 I think the tuk is expensive. I had money troubles. I went shopping at the place I asked for, and it took a long time because the cash register was crowded. I was charged an astonishing amount. ,, I asked why, but the answer was difficult to understand. A little disappointing. It is better to discuss the money with the owner before using it. I paid for this hotel booking site and stayed at the hotel I was charged for my stay. I showed the image of the receipt from the app, explained it, and asked for a refund. I made a bill payment together with a tuk-tuk, Because the tuk tuk was priced high for reasons I don't understand I didn't get the full amount paid for the hotel. The owner didn't know I had paid. and answered. Why did you make a reservation by paying with a card from the app site? It was a pity that it was difficult to understand whether it was answered like that and what kind of mechanism it is 😢

Overall, it was pretty good. We landed late at night and stayed for two nights. The room facilities were decent, hot water was fine, and the AC was quiet enough. The balcony was also very spacious. I had been debating between this hotel and Blue, with a few hundred price difference per night. After staying here, I realized that whichever is cheaper would be fine, as they are directly connected. The restaurant food was good, and breakfast was mostly Western-style. My kids had a blast looking for shells and crabs on the beach. There's a small fish market on the right side of the beach, and after seeing that, we didn't even bother going to the Negombo fish market.

It is an exquisite and beautiful small hotel We arrived at the hotel around nine o'clock in the evening. The owner was already waiting there and welcomed us warmly. He also gave us a local sweet and sour drink and then patiently introduced relevant information to us. The homestay is very nicely decorated, the water pressure and temperature are very suitable for showering, there is also a small balcony, and there are no mosquitoes. When I went downstairs at night, there was music playing on the speakers in the living room, it was so romantic! ! ! I walked around the hotel's garden, sat on a rocking chair, and felt the breeze under the lights. It was very comfortable. We agreed on a breakfast time, but he was 20 minutes late and didn't rush us. When we arrived at the restaurant, the proprietress brought us the hot breakfast, and the boss patiently and politely introduced each dish to us. A very rich breakfast, you can choose black tea or coffee, with drinking water and fruit drinks, grilled sausage and lava fried eggs, I love it! The hotel is about half an hour away from the airport. You can book a shuttle at the front desk for about US$20 per trip. There is a beach downstairs, but the beach is a bit dirty and the sand is co****. The room is quite clean, you need to bring your own slippers, but the soundproofing is average. There is a KTV upstairs and it is a bit noisy before 9pm. There is a bar and swimming pool on the top floor, which is quite large and has a good view. There is a restaurant on the 6th floor. The staff are very enthusiastic, especially the restaurant manager. He is very nice and the pasta is very good. My brother who had a flight to catch a flight told the manager in advance that they can take it away. The price is about the same as at the airport, but his salads are better. There are a lot of colorful peppers and raw onions, and other dishes use some Sri Lankan spices, which are similar to strong curry flavor, so friends who are not used to it should order with caution. Not bad for a one-night transfer between flights.

This is a very kind, clean, and comfortable place to stay. The owners have a very reassuring atmosphere, so I would recommend it to solo female travelers. The room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I might have. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff. Most importantly, the two dogs and 17 cats the owners rescued from abuse were incredibly adorable. They seemed very loved, and they approached us without any fear of humans, so it was clear that they were well cared for. They apparently provide a cat house for guests with allergies, so it's a good idea to let them know in advance. The only disappointment was that the shower was lukewarm...but overall, I was very satisfied, especially considering the price. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Negombo. It was a really great place to stay.

Please take a closer look if you come to Negombo. I booked two rooms, but when they arrived, they were connected to a suite separated by a door. The surroundings are relatively remote. Breakfast is 3 US dollars per person, but the quality is very good. We originally spent the night in Negombo, and the elephant orphanage the next day, in fact, there is really no need to waste money in the elephant orphanage. Because I only used Ctrip to watch, I feel that Negombo has no good hotels at all. In fact, there are many good hotels here! There are many delicious gourmet shops. I got off the plane late, because I had to go to the fish market in Niganbu early, and I specially set this place. As the first night of landing in Sri Lanka, the hotel was very good. The door is open sideways, not very obvious. The reception was very warm and I kindly exchanged travel advice when I checked out. The facilities are not complete, there are no dental appliances, the wooden door needs to be locked with a key, but it is very clean, and the bed table bathroom in the whole room is spotless. Bring a small restaurant with a bright window, go out to the fish market seven or eight hundred meters, close to St. Mary's Church. More cost-effective

I booked this one for my parents. Initially the hotel had made a mistake. My parents were one hour late to check in. Still there was a person in their room. The hotel had given my parents a different room for one hour. As a compensation for the trouble, they gave a suite for the last night of my parents’ staying. In Trip.com, this hotel is a 4 star hotel. But the staff say it is a 3 star hotel. Service, cleanliness and amenities match a 3 star hotel as well but not the price.

We had a lovely room on the facing the beach The bathroom was big and had a tub and shower. The bathroom amenities were also good. The room was huge but the AC was a little cold and it was hard to adjust. breakfast was ok had a few different things but not a huge range. Didn't use the pool looked a little small.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent, offering a good variety of fresh and delicious  that suit in different tastes. We also enjoyed the food served during our stay, which was consistently flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The only thing was the bathroom was outside the room, but it was spacious and very clean. The host was really welcoming, helped us with our luggage, and even lent us a hairdryer. They kept saying to let them know if we needed anything.

I stayed here for one night. A crucial point to note right away is that there's no air conditioning in the room, which is a significant downside. It was incredibly stuffy; the fan and open windows didn't help, leading to a poor night's sleep. Also, from about 6 AM, it gets noisy due to nature sounds and birds, so I couldn't sleep in completely. Otherwise, everything else was basic: the room is spacious, and the hosts are pleasant. There was no hot water, only cool. In summary: it's an option to consider, but sleeping without AC in hot weather is difficult—something to keep in mind.

Perfect hotel for a stay close to the airport! The room was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served in the garden next to the pool. The 24 hour check in was perfect when arriving in the middle of the night after a flight. Cannot recommend more if you need a place to stay close to the airport.

Amazing beachfront hotel, very very good service. Rooms looks better than on photos! Extremely good price/quality offer! We stayed during New Year's Eve and Gala dinner was mind blowing - so much choice, delicacies of all sort, tasty and desers are from heaven as well. Ochen ochen xorosho. We could see all Negombo fireworks. Hotel team also provided us with the early breakfast package because we left early morning on January 1st! They really did go above and beyond to help us feel truly valuable guests! We will return! Thank you Earl's Regent Team!

After our flight to Colombo airport, we wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport so we could leave early to Sigiriya by private taxi. This hotel was absolutely perfect for that. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and quite new. There is an elevator as well which is convenient. Price quality is extremely good for this hotel.
