Amazing hotel with a lot of care and thought put into the little details. Feels very unique with the suites having a very architectural type feel, example recsess in the bathroom for light features and shelving etc. the door however had an old rusty handle which would fault, locking you in! Had to leave the door open propped by a bin. The pool is beautiful although not as clean as our previous hotel at Heritance Negombo, a few doors up. The power also cut out 10+ times over an hour period. Maybe the switch between solar to grid needs to be upgraded. The single lift is also very old and tiny. Definitely needs an upgrade. Spa was good, breakfast was fairly standard however fresh pancakes were a treat after 2 weeks of eating stale hard ones at other buffets haha

We initially booked for one day, but loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay. Everything was excellent – from the reception and check-in to the pool, beach access, and breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.

The hotel actually good, but yes the staff. When I came I don’t think they change the bed linen so much dust there and I’m getting flu. And one day it was room cleaning . I was sleeping in the morning and I heard somebody open the door I’m not sure what kind of accident ) but hear somehow somebody open the door to check the room. For it’s so impolite to open guest room without permission even though u were knocking. (If it’s real) The restaurant staff are very helpful the man who working there only , but they didn’t pour me water also when I was dining, yes but I’m not expecting to get 5 star service in this hotel so well for me. If they can maintain cleanliness from the hotel the price really worth it as the hotel nearby airport. But good they offer wet towel and welcome drinks. The public area staff probably so polite. The airport driver were so polite I impressed when he said good morning maam, even I see he feel so sleepy.

The room is big and I am quite satisfied with the price. The bed is clean and the food tastes good. We felt very comfortable on the second morning here. However, I need to give a suggestion to the hotel. It is better to install glass in the bathroom window, otherwise the blinds alone cannot prevent mosquitoes from entering. Fortunately, the air conditioner was cold enough that night and it was equipped with mosquito repellent.

This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

The hotel I chose for transit in Negombo is roughly equivalent to the level of a three-star hotel in China. The breakfast is self-service with a wide variety of options, and the fruits and banana yogurt are well received. Check-in was very fast, and I give a thumbs up to the guy at the front desk. I gave the guy who carried the luggage a tip of 100 rupees, and he seemed very happy. What I was not satisfied with was that I booked a superior king-size bed room, but ended up getting a double standard room. I don't know if there was a problem with the system. Also, the plug of the washbasin was blocked, and I didn't know how to open it🥹

A green hotel, very close to the sea, and the view from the room is amazing. 1) Breakfast wasn't very tasty, and the food at the hotel wasn't particularly good. 2) The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. 3) Parking is available right across from the hotel. 4) You exit the hotel, turn right, and walk along the road where you'll find restaurants, cafes, and shops. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to a good restaurant, which is fine overall; you can enjoy a stroll. 5) There's a volleyball court inside the hotel, and we played a game. Overall, it's good, but the hotel itself isn't new. If you're staying for 2-3 days, it's a great option, but for a week, it's probably better to choose another place.

The hotel is about half an hour away from the airport. You can book a shuttle at the front desk for about US$20 per trip. There is a beach downstairs, but the beach is a bit dirty and the sand is co****. The room is quite clean, you need to bring your own slippers, but the soundproofing is average. There is a KTV upstairs and it is a bit noisy before 9pm. There is a bar and swimming pool on the top floor, which is quite large and has a good view. There is a restaurant on the 6th floor. The staff are very enthusiastic, especially the restaurant manager. He is very nice and the pasta is very good. My brother who had a flight to catch a flight told the manager in advance that they can take it away. The price is about the same as at the airport, but his salads are better. There are a lot of colorful peppers and raw onions, and other dishes use some Sri Lankan spices, which are similar to strong curry flavor, so friends who are not used to it should order with caution. Not bad for a one-night transfer between flights.

This is a very kind, clean, and comfortable place to stay. The owners have a very reassuring atmosphere, so I would recommend it to solo female travelers. The room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I might have. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff. Most importantly, the two dogs and 17 cats the owners rescued from abuse were incredibly adorable. They seemed very loved, and they approached us without any fear of humans, so it was clear that they were well cared for. They apparently provide a cat house for guests with allergies, so it's a good idea to let them know in advance. The only disappointment was that the shower was lukewarm...but overall, I was very satisfied, especially considering the price. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Negombo. It was a really great place to stay.

Please take a closer look if you come to Negombo. I booked two rooms, but when they arrived, they were connected to a suite separated by a door. The surroundings are relatively remote. Breakfast is 3 US dollars per person, but the quality is very good. We originally spent the night in Negombo, and the elephant orphanage the next day, in fact, there is really no need to waste money in the elephant orphanage. Because I only used Ctrip to watch, I feel that Negombo has no good hotels at all. In fact, there are many good hotels here! There are many delicious gourmet shops. But to book this kind of reservation, Ctrip has very few listings.

Very friendly staff. It was just an OK stay. The room was a bit run down, common areas were very nice though. The ceiling fan was very noisy because it wasn't really mounted well. It did have a nice restaurant and spa facilities. Two pools were great and the clean beach access was the best. Having a gym was a pleasant surprise. There was a block wide power outage due to power line upgrade and I was grateful they had a generator to keep things going for 8+hours of having no power elsewhere. I personally probably would not want to stay here again.

The hotel seats are relatively partial, but the privacy is strong. I stayed on the second floor with my friends and shared a swimming pool. My friends took a few photos with drones. The staff were warm and thoughtful. The breakfast and dinner were in the villa. The chefs are good at cooking. , Also sent us local wine and yogurt, the payment is settled in US dollars. In the evening listening to music and birdsong, watching the stars, occasionally fireflies fly by, children playing in the swimming pool, the years are quiet, but the next day the plane returns to Shanghai. Convenient resort hotel The location is in the alley at the end of the section, which is relatively biased, but it is also convenient On the day of check-in, the manager upgraded us to the family room and got a large space, very good! It was seven or eight o'clock when we checked in. The manager Mr. Mareen was very warm and received a delicious juice 🍹! The check-in process is also very concerned about our needs and safety, which is very heartwarming. However, the hotel facilities are a bit old and there are many traces of use. Be careful that there is no hair dryer, spare parts and slippers in the room (but we have them ourselves), the TV may not operate, it is impossible to watch. I booked this one for my parents. Initially the hotel had made a mistake. My parents were one hour late to check in. Still there was a person in their room. The hotel had given my parents a different room for one hour. As a compensation for the trouble, they gave a suite for the last night of my parents’ staying. In Trip.com, this hotel is a 4 star hotel. But the staff say it is a 3 star hotel. Service, cleanliness and amenities match a 3 star hotel as well but not the price.

The entire hotel team is very friendly and helpful 😌 The location is 7-10 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from cozy cafes for lunch and dinner. The room had everything we needed, but shower gel, slippers, and robes were missing to be completely comfortable. A mosquito repellent was installed, so we weren't bothered by any mosquitoes. The grounds are small but cozy. The breakfast was delicious and filling. We didn't use the pool, but it adds a touch of style to the place 😌

The feeling is very good, except for more bugs. The spa is very special! Like it, it is recommended to feel it. Check in first came a light ceremony (this is one of Sri Lanka's highest courtesies to VIPs, integrating Buddhist water supply, light blessing and flower purification into the core link of ”Welcome Pooja (Pujia welcome ceremony)”, which means praying for you: safe journey, clean body and mind, and all the best.) After the room was arranged, the service staff brought the check-in introduction and sent the juice (Sri Lanka juice freedom, 0 added), and the housekeeper sent us the luggage later. The next day's activities, from 5:30 to 6:30, there will be yoga (not very strong, mainly relaxing and happy), there will be a healing spa at 9 o'clock, breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 (breakfast slot: very slow! If the spa is about 9 o'clock, you can come to breakfast at 8 o'clock).

After several transfers, we finally arrived at the hotel just as a torrential downpour began. Watching the lightning and thunder outside my window, the waves crashing against the rocks, and the strong winds whipping the swings around, filled me with utter bliss 🈵. A green hotel, very close to the sea, and the view from the room is amazing. 1) Breakfast wasn't very tasty, and the food at the hotel wasn't particularly good. 2) The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. 3) Parking is available right across from the hotel. 4) You exit the hotel, turn right, and walk along the road where you'll find restaurants, cafes, and shops. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to a good restaurant, which is fine overall; you can enjoy a stroll. 5) There's a volleyball court inside the hotel, and we played a game. Overall, it's good, but the hotel itself isn't new. If you're staying for 2-3 days, it's a great option, but for a week, it's probably better to choose another place.

Perfect hotel for a stay close to the airport! The room was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served in the garden next to the pool. The 24 hour check in was perfect when arriving in the middle of the night after a flight. Cannot recommend more if you need a place to stay close to the airport.

The hotel actually good, but yes the staff. When I came I don’t think they change the bed linen so much dust there and I’m getting flu. And one day it was room cleaning . I was sleeping in the morning and I heard somebody open the door I’m not sure what kind of accident ) but hear somehow somebody open the door to check the room. For it’s so impolite to open guest room without permission even though u were knocking. (If it’s real) The restaurant staff are very helpful the man who working there only , but they didn’t pour me water also when I was dining, yes but I’m not expecting to get 5 star service in this hotel so well for me. If they can maintain cleanliness from the hotel the price really worth it as the hotel nearby airport. But good they offer wet towel and welcome drinks. The public area staff probably so polite. The airport driver were so polite I impressed when he said good morning maam, even I see he feel so sleepy.

After our flight to Colombo airport, we wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport so we could leave early to Sigiriya by private taxi. This hotel was absolutely perfect for that. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and quite new. There is an elevator as well which is convenient. Price quality is extremely good for this hotel.

Very friendly staff. It was just an OK stay. The room was a bit run down, common areas were very nice though. The ceiling fan was very noisy because it wasn't really mounted well. It did have a nice restaurant and spa facilities. Two pools were great and the clean beach access was the best. Having a gym was a pleasant surprise. There was a block wide power outage due to power line upgrade and I was grateful they had a generator to keep things going for 8+hours of having no power elsewhere. I personally probably would not want to stay here again.

Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.
