Me and my partner booked a last minute getaway to port Stephen’s for Christmas break. Marina resort did not disappoint! 10/10 service and cleanliness. The staff were so welcoming and lovely throughout our stay. The hotel itself was in prime location of Nelson Bay and close to the beautiful marina. Sea view rooms with a modern touch and stunning interior, very comfortable. Not to forget a modern pool area right outside to relax and enjoy the sun in the day time. They also had the cutest furry friend at reception! Such a friendly pup. Overall, we highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel ❤️

A bit disappointed that Trip.com didn’t give you the option to claim NSW vouchers. Landmark Resort provide excellent customer service, best I had ever experienced. Sam was amazing on our arrival and very helpful. Floors were sticky from soap residue, she came up within 10 minutes to wipe over tiles with clean water. Later that evening, she came up again to help me with the turning on the stove. Apartment was immaculate and well designed for a small 1 bedroom. Comfortable and modern. Lots of double PowerPoints to plug in your own devices. Beautiful view off the balcony. Excellent fast wifi. Great pool and games room (air hockey with ability to team up with a partner - 4 players, plus other games). Negatives: 1. Kitchen - No oven. Could add scissors, wooden spoon and smaller sized pan. Strange to have a huge fry pan to cook for 2 people, and on a small stove top. Also would recommend replacing Tefal type plans as they can become a health hazard when old. Bathroom - Shower head could do with an upgrade to handheld as the fixed one is small, and only wets just below shoulders, plus splashes everywhere. We made good use of the spa bath. Square toilet seats aren’t comfortable. Iron is very cheap and old. Dirt was coming out of the holes underneath and water kept spilling out of it.

Mantra Nelson Bay Three adults stayed on September 17. Due to the delay of the itinerary, we arrived at the hotel at 12:00am in the evening to check in. We were traveling by car, and the door outside the hotel was closed. We were not able to arrive at the hotel to register. According to previous experience, the hotel will be emailed. Provide the password to us to check in the room, but the hotel did not email me how to enter the hotel. So we used the data roaming to call the hotel counter, after a very long wait for someone to answer the phone, the hotel staff found personal data and the bank number to me, it took a lot of time to give me the password of 1:07AM, Unfortunately, there is nothing in the wallet (please refer to the attachment), I really don't understand that the wallet woman has nothing, so ask me so much information for what purpose? At that moment, I immediately used the data to roam the staff, waiting for almost 30 minutes without anyone listening to the phone, what does it mean that you let the guests wait outside the hotel for almost an hour without letting us enter the hotel? After a long wait, the staff finally listened to the phone. I asked the staff when they could come in and wait for what? He said that he needed to wait for the security to open the door before he could enter. I asked the staff how long it took? Because we didn't know what to wait for, the weather outside was cold and there were elderly people, the staff actually told me to wait for about an hour. It was already more than one o'clock in the morning, and I really couldn't accept and didn't understand the hotel's arrangement. About 1:15 in the morning, a foreign self-proclaimed security person came with a bag with about 50 to 60 keys. We watched him try to open the door with each key. After many unsuccessful security calls to ask for help, the door can be opened. Then the security guards were very responsible. They told us to get the hotel key before leaving. Then we found the hotel counter and found that the counters were closed and locked. Then we had something to do after repeated attempts to open the hotel counter door. Then we called the staff again. The clerk told us that our keys and data had been placed on the counter, ridiculously there was no, we looked everywhere, and finally we needed to go to the lock box to find the room key by ourselves! ? Am I playing a treasure hunt? The hotel staff no longer listened to our phone. We used more than 1 hour of roaming data to call the hotel staff. It was quite expensive, but it was ignored and handled improperly. When we entered the room, it was already early in the morning 2AM... We arrived 12AM... In addition, I found that the security problem is quite serious. A key can open all rooms. We suddenly had other guests to open our door the next morning. My mother was very scared and screamed immediately. We found out that everyone's key can open all the doors. Yes, even if the hotel's facilities and environment are very good, the staff and the hotel's handling methods are very problematic, completely ignoring the needs of the guests, not recommended.

It is a nice hotel and is very near to the port where the whale watching cruises are. The reception is also nice enough to let us park the car after we checked out so that we join the cruise.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Check in was a bit odd, had to go into the pub to get my key, but the room was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and modern, absolutely loved it!! Checking out was easy, just locked the door and popped the key in the checking out box. Car park has limited spaces so can be a bit difficult. But overall we were very happy with the accommodation.

Family of 4 enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick and easy and we were greeted with wonderful  customer service. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. Pool was heated and lovely to swim in. We struggled to get the kids out of it they enjoyed it that much.  Location is convenient and close/walking distance to beach and shops.
