The hotel is 3 minutes from the city's most animated street with some quality restaurants and a nice bars and 5 minutes from the beach. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. The pool is at the stop so the pool is full of dead insects and plant residues: bathing has your risks and dangers. No lifts and very narrow stairs. The hotel, including rooms, is smoker. The room was clean and tidy and yes a few things around the place need a bit of a face lift but let me tell what you will get! Nasmeer and his team will go above and beyond for you! You will always be greeted with a welcoming smile and nothing and I mean nothing is to much trouble! The location on the beach is amazing and after school the local children and adults will be your entertainment.. as the community gathers on the beach you will watch the children play soccer ( football), cricket and fly kites, there is music and laughter all while you sit either around the stunning pool or on your balcony watching the spectacular sun set! This place is well worth a stay!

|4.5km from city centerRani and her family are such a lovely people and perfect hosts. They made us feel really welcome in Sri Lanka and gave us lots of useful tips. The room is big and comfy with the balcony and comfy bed with mosquito net. Breakfast is delicious and they can cook for you the best Sri Lankan curry 😍 We was worry at the beginning that there is no hot water but trust me - you will be glad about it cause Negombo is a hot place and cold shower is what you really need. The location is good, close to the shops, restaurant and the beach. When we back in Negombo we will definitely stay with Rani again!

Есть все необходимое для комфортного отдыха! Вкусный ресторан Sasha в пяти минутах ходьбы от отеля! Супермаркеты, сувенирные лавки, длинная береговая линия в 5-15 минутах на тук-туке! Вкусный завтрак был включён в стоимость! Хозяин отеля-Уди, прекрасный человек! Очень вежливый, участливый, супер-отзывчивый, всегда поможет, ответит на все вопросы, сделает все, что в его силах, чтоб ваш отдых в отеле был замечательным! Обожаю это место, людей! Arriving late from our flight we were welcomed with a cold drink and shown to our room. So clean and spacious and a really good shower! The host was so helpful in letting us know all about the buses into Negombo and on to Kandy. He couldn’t have been more helpful. I Would recommend this place to anyone :)

Had lovely breakfasts and complimentary afternoon tea. It was very handy we had a driver pick us up from the airport from here in the early hours. Had a nice boat trip on the lagoon and walked down the Dutch canals in Negombo. Lots of good restaurants and bars on the high street especially Mr Crab and Jude restaurants. Would highly recommend The Icebear Guesthouse and would stay again

You get the best, to the minute, travel tips there. Emails are answered quickly and your whole itinerary can be secured with Mr Thamel's knowledgeable organization. He can book hotels, find a comfortable car and experienced driver for you. Or something more impulsive where you make lodging decisions as you go. Also where to get return trip covid testing etc. You are in good hands. And the value is outstanding - I've traveled many times to Sri Lanka and his care is the best to be found - all at very reasonable price. He knows the country like the back of his hand, including all the best hotel deals, and has arranged trips to the farthest most isolated parts of the country for me. Those discoveries allowed me to experience the most authentic view of Sri Lanka possible. In my last trip this January, I mentioned to Dennis (perfect driver, totally in tune with the kind of trip I wanted) that I'd like to buy a Sri Lankan nativity creche. Dennis phoned Mr Thamel and he had it waiting for me at the end of my trip. You wont just get a travel planner and guest house proprietor, you will get a true friend in Sri Lanka. I was so lucky the day I first contacted him.

“What an amazing, beautiful place to stay. This is my second time at Villa Sarakkuwa, first was with my friends and last week was with Family. The Villa itself is heaven, all three rooms are air-conditioned with spacious bathrooms, specially the ponds surrounded by so much green and cute little fish tanks, It is a perfect location for a pond lover You can see the local fishermen going in the lagoon and heaps of pelicans as well The staff (lovely couple) were absolutely fantastic, if there were any problems with anything it was attended to immediately.” “The staff were there each morning greeting you with the biggest smiles and ready to cook breakfast and was cooked to order I gotta say, they know how to cook, specially if you’re craving for Sri Lankan food Stayed for 2 nights would have been more than happy to stay another 2 nights, it was home away from home. We could not ask for more, We will definitely recommend this great place to our friends and family. Looking forward to be back for our next gathering. Cheers!! :)

They met us at the airport for free, Denish brought us on his tuck-tuck to the hotel, before that he patiently waited for us 2 hours until we got our luggage. The hosts were sincerely trying to please us and take care of everything. It was very nice to meet them. In the morning we were fed on request by vegetarian dishes. The servings were large, reported the supplement. We were satisfied. Comfortable location of the hotel. A good supermarket (right on the highway) and a currency exchange bank (left on the highway) nearby if you go on the highway from the hotel. The hotel is quite a distance from the highway, it was quiet. The room is a comfortable bed with curtains from mosquitoes, a comfortable mattress, comfortable pillows. The room is a shower and toilet, hot water (has been in a room on the 2nd floor).
It is a convenient option to stay for a couple of nights after the flight. We lived for 2 nights, extended for one more.

Arrived at the hotel around 9 pm, the boss had waited there and welcomed us warmly, gave us a local very special sour and sweet drink, and then patiently introduced us to the relevant information.
The layout of the homestay is very beautiful. The water pressure and water temperature are very suitable when taking a bath. There is also a small balcony where no mosquitoes are encountered. Going downstairs at night, the sound in the living room is playing music, so emotional! ! ! Walking in the hotel garden, with the lights, sitting on the rocking chair, feeling the breeze, very comfortable ～
The breakfast time was agreed, but it was 20 minutes late and we were not urged. When we arrived at the restaurant, the proprietress brought the breakfast up, warm, and the boss patiently and politely introduced us to each kind of food.
Very rich breakfast, you can choose black tea or coffee, with drinking water and fruit drinks, sausage and flown fried eggs, I love it! Local specialties of pasta and fruit, mainly sweet, roasted toast, as well as jam and butter, don't be too perfect ～
The boss and the proprietress get along very comfortable, and the speech behavior makes people feel very friendly and enthusiastic. When we left, the driver and we also said that we felt that the boss was very good and very polite.
Unfortunately, I chose to stay in Negombo for one night. I am very sorry. I hope I can come to Sri Lanka again in the future and stay in this hotel for a few more nights. This hotel has a good start for my trip, very happy 😄

It's not exactly close to anything a tourist would be interested in, however transportation is cheap and you can get to the nice bits of Negombo or to the transportation centers very easily.
