A new establishment in the city of kyoto. Its spacious and clean with a shared kitchen and laundry area. Instructions are provided very clearly on how to use the facilities. Good job on this. The only thing is check in was taking a bit too long. The washroom in our room has separated toilet and shower. The room is very nicely designed and very functional. There are also a good selection of tv channels. Wifi works very well in the room but didnt work in the common area. It will be great if wifi is provided in the common area. We stayed for 3 nights and had a good time. Very comfortable stay.

Very close to Kyoto Station, close to shopping center, easy shopping. There are many restaurants and you can enjoy eating out. There were three rooms, so it was easy to divide the room. The facilities are color 々, but I hope there is a washing machine.

Winter is not very recommended... The heating of the whole house is not open 24 hours, the boss is too power-saving, the room feels very cold, and other Chinese girls/Korean girls who sleep in the same room are complaining... and bathing is also I just washed it and felt cold in the toilet, which made me afraid to open the air when I took a bath... And there are only two toilets, people who live in it have to line up and the room is slightly crowded... The advantage is that it is close to Kyoto Station, but this road is quite a lot of accommodation, and girls who are afraid of cold are not recommended.

The hotel is close to Jr Kyoto Station, a 5-10 minute walk. It is located on a quiet street, facing a park. There is no sound at night and it is very quiet. There will be English-speaking staff at the counter who are very polite and friendly. They will say hello and bow when they come back from going out, making you feel like you are being taken care of. I highly recommend Private Bath. It only costs 1,000yen for 50 minutes and you can take a hot spring bath alone on the top floor. It is very comfortable and satisfying.

It's located in a small alley within Kyoto central. The location was quite nice and convenient. I stayed in the Omoya house, which is female only, it's all built by woods, so a little bit of noise with be amplified pretty easily. They have signs and notice put up to notify the guess to be careful about making noises, however, the lock on the door wasn't designed to be quite, it makes a loud click while locking it, and it's hard to prevent even if you try to lock it slowly. The guests also need to know how to close the door properly so it doesn't sound like their slamming the doors when closing them. The futon and comforter were great. I had a great rest when staying there. I stayed in the private room, which I think it's quite enough for myself to use, it creates a nice little personal space. I love the fact that they have bathtubs in two of the bathrooms. Overall, it's still a nice and valued stay.

The location of the holiday home is very good! The distance from the bus station and subway station is also pretty good. Bathroom I only met the staff once upon check in. One common bathroom was be shared by 5 rooms of people. All the rooms seemed to be occupied and that probably had 12-15 guests. I waited up to 20 mins for my turn to shower. I also had to sit at the dining table to show my intention that I am queueing to use the bathroom. I was tired after a long day of sightseeing and it was very unpleasant to wait just to shower. The bathroom was flooded to the dry section on multiple occasions and my hubby had to use his hand to remove the hair from the drain. Room The beds were comfortable enough and the heater kept us warm. There were enough bath towels to go around. I was allocated a triple room with windows which I appreciated. However, the sound pollution from the passing vehicles was bad. Fortunately, my family members were not light - sleepers, so we could still fall asleep despite the vehicle noise. It would be really bad for light-sleepers. On the third night, the white light was left switched on. The light passed through the frosted panel on my door. Location Even though there are two train stations - Fushimi Inari Keihan Station and Inari JR Station . Beware !!! It is not convenient AT ALL. Fushimi Inari Keihan Station which is a little nearer is not connected to Kyoto Station. For JR Pass users, I had to get a separate ticket whenever I want to use this station. For JR Inari Station which is at the door step of Fushimi - Inari Taisha Shrine, it is not a subway type of train. It is a local train that comes by about every 30 minutes. I had to time myself properly to be in time for this train. It is not fast at all and it has wasted a lot of my time. If you are pressed for time, choose another place nearer to a subway station. I paid about S$200 per night for a room for three. I feel that it is not value for money.

We arrived to find a charming location. The room however was extremely hot (located on the top floor - the 4th). They told us it was unseasonably warm and should cool down at night. This is a fairly small room with 3 adults. They do not turn on AC until May. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had windows that opened (they told us that they don’t bc of an agreement they have with the house next door). They also didn’t have a fan or even try to find one for us. We wound up leaving the room door open for a while and the bathroom vent actually helped. The first night was pretty miserable but then it was fine. The staff was actually very nice but I would have appreciated some help in obtaining a fan. It was getting late and we couldn’t get to a store to buy one. The room itself was small but had 2 beds then a roll out couch that wasn’t very comfortable. The bathroom itself wasn’t large enough to hold toiletry bags but was otherwise clean and worked well. The location was pretty ideal for us. Near train stations, restaurants, convenience stores and the imperial palace. The breakfast is a great start to the day as well. Simple, fresh and good. The staff gave us a recommendation for a yakatori place and even set up the reservations. It was delicious. When we were waiting for our taxi to leave, it was raining and one of the staff came out and stood next to me with an umbrella. It was very sweet and I was grateful. I think they should think about keeping a couple fans on hand if they aren’t going to allow AC or have windows that open. It’s horrible feeling all gross from travel and then get to the room to feel hot. Due to their kindness and assistance through the rest of the stay I’m giving 4 stars.

Oh my God. What a pleasant stay I had in this most comfortable, cozy, clean and friendly guest house. The owner, Mrs. Hidemi, and her children, Yukari and Suguru, are simply too nice to describe. First of all, the hosts: Hidemi (Amei), Yukari, and Suguru. Secondly, the place is super clean and very comfortable. Thirdly, the facilities are superb; including DIY laundry, fridge, etc. Fourtly, it is located in Nakagyo neighborhood, which is hip and cool with galleries, cafes, small restaurants, convenience stores, pubs, onsen, around the corner from the Imperial Palace. They go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of. They offer all kinds of tourism information. This is the place to stay in Kyoto.

Beautiful Guest House with amazing hosts. This family run Guest House is amazing. It is as good as a 5 star hotel but better! The rooms are spotless and a good size for Japan with all the amenities you could need. However, that is not the best part - the best part is the host family who are very special indeed. From the minute I was collected at Kyoto Station by Emiko and her father I was treated with such kindness and enthusiasm. I felt like I was royalty! I must not forget the location, which is perfect for visiting all the local attractions, either within walking distance, or a short train ride from the local station which is just a 5 minute walk. If you stay anywhere else in Kyoto you are just missing out on the best Guest House there is.
