|30.52km from city centerWe booked a ”Standard Twin Room with Courtyard View” and that was excellent value for money. Very friendly staff, clean room, very quiet at night and veeeeeery close to Boulders Beach and the penguins. An ideal location to go hiking at Cape Point . The only 2 negative points: the walls are very thin so you hear the neighbours talking (but once they sleep it's very quiet). And they start serving breakfast too late (only from 9:30 while we are used to have breakfast at 7am, especially when we do day hikes.)

They had basic utensils to cook save for frying pan. bed was comfortable up the aisle, but the sofas were roomy enough. Choose the Mountain View side so you can open the windows and let in fresh air. The lodge had DIY laundry service and lots of shops around the lodge. 15 minutes' walk from CITCC and 20 mins from V&A Waterfront. It's the centre of Cape Town.

However, the building alarm repeatedly disturbed my sleep during the early hours of the morning, and the pillows were not comfortable, making my stay less pleasant this time. If these issues are fixed, I would definitely come back to stay again.

|2.39km from city centerI stayed at the Muize B&B for a week and felt very comfortable and safe. The staff is so friendly and I felt very welcome at all times. The breakfast is rich and delicious too. You can reach the Muizenberg Beach within 10 Minutes by walking. The shared bathroom got cleaned evreryday and the bed was comfortable. It was very windy at that time and I felt it a little in the room too and that was quite noisy, probably for isolation reasons.. All in all I can really recommend the place.

|0.69km from city centerFantastic stay. Kevin and Herman were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lovely beds. Had two trips out with Herman. He is an excellent guide - took us on a peninsula tour taking in beaches that are not accessible by commercial tour operators. Having seen the freshly caught fish at Simons Town harbour and getting a hankering for fresh fish our wish was Kevin's command and he cooked us some lovely Kingklip. Had a tour to the winelands with Herman who handpicked the best of the wine farms (again far superior to the commercial operators) our stay was finished off with a shuttle back to the airport. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

The talking point for us was the view form the veranda and braai area. We could see part of the view from our room as only some of the rooms have a full view, but this is understandable. Breakfast was fine, but you would expect a bigger variety. We felt welcome and could enjoy sundowners on the balcony and actually thought of having a braai at this beautiful place, but opted to go out for supper as the evenings are chilly during this time of the year. Overall, a place we would gladly recommend.

Excellent communication with Kerry prior to our arrival. Letitia was great and organised everything for our late night arrival including fresh milk in the fridge so we could have a tea or coffee on arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great and included pastries, cereal, fresh fruit and a few a la carte options. Highly recommended.

|9.97km from city centerWe had wonderful days at South Breeze, a small cozy guest house. The warm hosts Thelma and Ronny did everything to make us feel comfortable. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished and have large bathrooms and air conditioning. The good breakfast included in the room price is not a standard buffet as is so often the case, but is served in the morning in the breakfast room using a small breakfast menu. Just great. The guest house has a small courtyard with a pool and a barbecue, which the host is happy to help with. I can recommend the guest house without reservation. The journey time to the city center is about 20 minutes, to the airport it is 25 minutes. The walk to the beach is about 200m. There is free parking in the courtyard.

|1.98km from city centerAdvantages: It is close to the waterfront, the room is okay, and the space is large, with a separate living room.
Disadvantages: Although it is close to the waterfront, the front and back buildings perfectly block all the landscape, and the waterfront and the Table Mountain cannot be seen. The worst part is that the hot water in the room is not automatic. My partner and I turned around for a long time and found a button. The water wasted for a long time. One person finished washing the other without hot water ... The worse thing is, A 1,000zar deposit was charged. My partner and I forgot to take the deposit when checking out, and they did not remind me. Then we took the deposit bar to retrieve the deposit, saying that the envelope in which our deposit was placed was missing, and we asked him to adjust the monitoring. One of them said that they could not take money from other places, but that the person in charge of the monitoring room was not there. We have to wait for the buddy who checked out the next day to come to work to pay the deposit. We also left our contact information and said that it resolved it and called us, but we did n’t call until the next day. Fortunately, we did n’t rush to rush the plane that day. The next day we went to get the money and the little brother took it out. 1000zar returned to us. I think as a hotel, the deposit bar is the proof that you owe the customer money. No matter where you keep the deposit, it should be returned unconditionally at the first time. If you do n’t lose your envelope, do n’t dare us. Those who check in must remember to take the deposit bar, we are fortunate to save it this time, otherwise they will be hacked. As a large hotel, the quality of employees is very problematic.

The breakfast was very delicious and what was on offer was a really lovely spread. Thank you for making my stay one that I will not forget, and will definitely return when doing business that side again. One suggestion: I know you offer a lovely selection of restaurants in your area to go eat out at. Which is great. I just had a long day with meetings and not really knowing the area once I had returned back to the property and felt so relaxed, that I did not feel up to heading out again to find myself a dinner option. So thought it would be a lovely option to add a list of which restaurants or pizza places also offer take away delivery options too maybe. Or could offer a ready made meal in your canteen area that can be warmed up or even ordered as an advance order (extra cost) when booking in online as a dinner option ? I would have definitely have used this. :)

Jeanot and Michel - the two brothers who are owners/innkeepers and their full staff are totally tuned into your needs and go out of their way to make everyone’s stay customized to their interests and tastes. They are also genuinely warm and friendly, like most Capetownians. Super accommodating on checkin and checkout times. Many of the rooms have exquisite views of Bo Kaap’s colorful rooms cascading up the hill and of the majestic lions head mountain formation above it! Breakfast is over the top great - hot and cold options- and included in the price and extras like laundry picked up and returned same day are nominally priced. Jeanot and Michael are quick to offer beach towels, umbrellas etc….. whatever you need to make your day perfect! They will also book meals, tours, etc. The airport pickup guy they book for you is an amazing find in his own right. Bazil Christian is his name and he also does incredible tours of parts of Capetown ans surrounds that you would never see otherwise … but that provide rich cultural context! 2nd time I’ve stayed at Rouge and I would never stay anywhere else in Capetown- the location is prefect as a base for all areas you might explore and the space and hosts are absolutely top notch!!

The moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome and at home. The rooms are spacious, stylish and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is a real treat with a selection of freshly cooked food alongside the usual cereal, fruit etc. The staff are charming and helpful especially Miko. The property is in walking distance of Company’s Garden and some of the main Cape Town attractions - but if you don’t feel like walking Uber taxis are plentiful, reliable and extremely good value. For our first ever experience of South Africa this set the tone for an amazing trip.

Obviously, in nice weather, one can sit outside, but in raining weather, the studios have nowhere to sit inside. The pool on the stone cottage side was lovely. The staff were friendly. Think they should already have the fridge switched on when they know someone is checking in. Will try the studios on the other side with the 2 pools next time. Excellent value for the location.

It is an old city house on the upper slopes of the city, it is styled and very individual, and everything in good taste.
the floors are hard wood throughout the house, so you can hear footstep.
The breakfast was bliss, and prepared by a lady, Miss Lisa. She makes everything to order, so hot and flavorful.
The only downside was off-street parking, as I had to park my car 200m away downhill.
I do live in the city, and did not want to commute after a night out drinking and dinner, I recommend this guest house and it is super.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I didn't use the pool because of the rather cool temperatures, but it was in good condition. The breakfast with omelette, fresh homemade bread, fruit salad and muesli is excellent. Only the automatic coffee machine takes ages to make average quality coffee. Overall a very nice stay and I will try to book here again when I come to the city.

The location is terrific, outside the bustle of the Waterfront yet an easy walk (less than a mile) to all its activities, shopping, dining, etc. And it's located on the tour bus route so getting around was easy - we had no need of a car. Communication with the inn was excellent. The owners arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport. The Inn is all that the reviewers say it is - warm ambience, spotlessly clean rooms comfortably furnished with everything we needed. Our room was in front downstairs, spacious with a sofa, table & chairs, kitchen-station, and an unobstracted view of the Atlantic Ocean. We enjoyed all six nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was always delicious and pleantiful. The owners are friendly, professional, and excellent hosts. Highly recommend!

It was like a home away from home as it had all the amenities that we needed, including a cozy bed and a kitchen that was well-stocked. The view from the apartment was simply breathtaking, especially during the sunset, and it added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. Even now, my kids keep asking when we'll go back to the Aquarius LS. We were extremely satisfied with our experience and would rate it as excellent.
