The best location in the selected hotel in Kyoto! Just a few steps away from the house and turn left is the Jin Market. There is a main road nearby. The four most lively areas are super convenient for food and shopping! I will give priority to this one when I go to Kyoto in the future! Very self-service hotel, enter the door every day, and then use the key to open the door. Maybe the only inconvenience is that check-in is at Kyoto Station, but the problem is not big, and there will be a shuttle bus back to the hotel after registration. No breakfast, but no need at all! Because it is next to the Nishiki Market, I don’t have to worry about having no place to eat every day! In addition, it is very suitable for family travel. The annex building can accommodate 4 people, and the room in the main building can accommodate 5 people. The price/performance ratio is quite high!

The manager of the hotel is warm and thoughtful and gave detailed check-in tips before check-in. 3. Because the homestay is a wooden structure, living in two bedrooms in the north and south, you can clearly hear the sound of people snoring in the other bedroom, and the sound insulation effect is poor. 4. There is no place to have breakfast nearby, so I had to buy some sandwiches at the convenience store. For dinner, there is a restaurant nearby. 5. The homestay is located in the middle of two tall buildings, the horizontal width is less than 4 meters, the long strip structure, there are no windows on the east and west sides, the lighting is poor, and it is not very bright. 6. The leather slippers used in the homestay are very slippery and very large in size, making it inconvenient to go up and down the stairs. It is recommended to change to plastic slippers, everyone feels good, and it is recommended to change the toothbrush to a different color to avoid confusion. 7. It is recommended to install a mirror on the second floor so that the second floor is ok. Someone washes it. Otherwise, it is inconvenient to wash all in the bathroom on the first floor. Generally speaking, in order to experience the Japanese lifestyle, I gave this homestay 80 points. Don’t be deter by the photo thinking that you need to take the staircase to your accommodation, you access the unit by the lift at the back of this building. Value for money due to it great location, just a few walk to the metro station and walking distance to few places of interest, Nishiki Market, Yasaka-jinja Shrine, Gion (10 to 20 mins). Self-contained unit, very comfortable beds, lot of space for bags. It is a surrounded by supermarket, convenience stores and eatery. There is also locker to store your luggage at 300 yen after check out since there no reception area.

There were no Korean reviews or blogs, so there were a lot of difficulties. If you call in advance before check-in, you can store your luggage or check in quickly. And the accommodation is really nice. I had a lot of trouble because there weren't many reviews. There is 1 tatami room, 1 bedroom, 1 small room, and 1 attic, as well as 2 beds and 4 bedding sets. It is spacious enough to accommodate up to 6 people. It's nice to have a Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby. Take exit 5 of Sijo Station, go into the alley on the left, and walk 200m to find the shrine. Just go into the shrine alley. There is no front desk. A staff member will come and be waiting for you at 4 o'clock. If you would like to store your luggage or check-in quickly, you can call the hotel and request quick check-in. The information staff can speak English, so you can speak English.

When we arrived, Inoue-san was waiting to welcome us in front of the property. (I felt bad because we arrived later than anticipated due to traffic.) He helped us carry all our heavy suitcases. We received a warm welcome and his hospitality during our stay was second to none. Everything about the property was wonderful! The location was perfect as we were there for the Kyoto Gion Matsuri. There were lots going on the street we were on, including hoko (floats) parade, hoko assembling, music rehearsal at night, and hoko disassembling, which were very interesting. We enjoyed restaurants all around in neighborhood from Gyoza to Motsunabe. Transportation access to bus stops and train stations was good. The property was super clean. Having a washing machine and dryer system in the bathroom really helped us since we were there for a week. We definitely go back if we travel in Kyoto again in the near future!
