A lovely stay in Briig hotel. A perfect location by a local beach with easy access to the port and town in under ten minutes by foot.
Very spacious rooms with a super comfy XL bed and updated designer toiletries in the bathroom along with the amazing shower.
A small but functional rooftop pool and sun deck and lovely garden to have breakfast and drinks.

The hotel is located on the third floor of a small shopping mall to the east of the ancient city wall. It is easy to find and the location is very convenient. It is a 2-minute walk to the ancient city. Although it is a small hotel similar to a bed and breakfast, the room layout facilities are basically complete, clean, and the size is reasonable. There is only one person in charge at the front desk, who is very serious and responsible, and answers all questions. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel but overall, it was a pleasant stay. Nice and helpful staff. Great price for a decent hotel in Split. However, we still had to climb up the staircase after taking the lift which was a bit inconvenient. Location-wise, it is near to the tourist spot with everything in walking distance. The location of the hotel is very convenient to enter the ancient city. The suite design is stylish and the small terrace can see the clock tower and the sunrise. The bathroom is so big that there is a jacuzzi, but the automatic cleaning function is so loud to scare the parents. It will be better to remind you to be mentally prepared. The breakfast is very rich and the restaurant is comfortable. The dinner has a soup main dish and dessert. The taste is not wrong and the portion is large. The Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere.
However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.)
I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location.

It is not far from the game of the old town rights to get the attractions, and it is convenient to walk. The room was clean and the water was delivered. The only thing to note is that remember to listen to the room number clearly, otherwise it is easy to admit mistakes. It may be unfamiliar with the way Europeans write numbers. The hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. The hotel is basically located on the 3rd floor of a semi functional mall. The location is great and at walking distance from all major attractions on the beach line of Split. Eateries, bakeries, places to shop are all at walking distance. The location is also a short walk from the major bus station where you can get buses for the airport. The triple room was huge and we'll maintained. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience. Good location in the palace area, but it could be very confused because the hotel has different annex which is couple minutes walk apart. And it could be difficult to find the location of the annex, for the one I stay in named Villa Donbric couldn’t be find in Google map. Besides, since we have couple of large luggages, we look for hotel with elevator but the annex I stayed didn’t facilitated one. (I am not sure the other annex has one or not) The room is smaller than I expected, it’s a bit messy when we open up two luggage together. Other than that, it’s a cozy place to stay with helpful staff. The breakfast is served and good, with different options of eggs. I suggest extra attention is better when booking the hotel about the location and concern with luggages. Or I will suggest booking their optional pick up service.SOLD OUT

The hotel is the kind of residential building renovation. The front desk has always been very convenient and can store luggage. The front desk lady will give a map, play and eat will recommend it. The room is not very big, but one person lives in a wooden problem, the bed is narrow, but sleeps quite comfortable. Very close to the ancient city, just a few tens of meters into the ancient city, so there are not many tourists here, but it is convenient. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the bus station. The B&B is strategically located in the city center, 5 minutes walk to the old town, close to the beach and the port, is a great choice for travel.
The boss is very friendly and also provides pick-up service. It is recommended to contact the boss by email in advance to confirm the relevant details.
It should be noted that if you are driving by car, parking may be a bit inconvenient. Although there are parking spaces behind the homestay, there are not many in number and it is difficult to find. It is recommended to plan the parking in advance.

Maria at the front desk was so amazing and made guests feel at home. The hotel is in a small alley next to the pedestrian street. Crossing a small park is the entrance to the ancient city.
Breakfast is divided into meals, but the amount is super delicious. There is a small pool that is too cold to enter the water.
Maria's recommended ice cream shop and dinner restaurant (sug) is also superb! Makes visitors feel full.
The red shed in the picture is the hotel door. Their home actually has a parking space. Self-driving people must choose!SOLD OUT

Room was clean, and full of amneties for a studio room. AC worked well but there was a fly as the window was open before we came in. Receptionist showed us around the room and explained the check out process and breakfast (coffee and tasty croissants). Entrance to room can only be accessed from outside of the street. This was a rushed booking due to our original hotel not having our booking. Normally I spend considerable time going through reviews etc, but with the Azur Palace (hotel?) it was a case of needs must.
Unfortunately although we had booked a deluxe double in our opinion it didn’t match similar 4 star hotel deluxe rooms. I mentioned this to reception but they weren’t really interested.
Appreciate we were virtually in the centre of split, with space at a premium, but the view of a small alley with graffiti an empty minibar, not even plugged in, an irritating dim light, I think from the a/c that ensured the room wasn’t completely dark. After trying to close it down without success I went to reception, which had a note with a phone number to call. I gave up went back to the room and tried throwing a towel over it.
Also no bar, although there are a few within couple of minutes.

It was cute, lady who owns it was really sweet and friendly. Provided us with extra towels and coffee.
TV had Netflix, Disney+, YouTube etc and Google (however when we opened it, there was explicit adult content left on there from previous guest... which was not nice!)
Very clean and tidy premises.
Only other downside for me is that you can't actually see out of the windows, they're covered by external barriers making it quite dark, and also a lot of loud noises early in the morning, very loud banging (like a hammer) and power tools.

I loved this hotel very much! The room was clean and new. It was situated at the perfect location which enjoys the best view of Split while you can reach the old town/castle within 15min by walking along the beautiful ocean side. Located in the old town, it is ideal for sightseeing. The owner was also kind and I was able to check in safely even though it was late at night. However, the room was small, which was a bit disappointing. Very satisfied with the hotel, the location of the hotel is great, it is very convenient to go to the attraction, it is thirty or forty meters away from the silver gate of Diocletian's Palace, and the small road leads to the silver gate. The room does not have a sea view.
This is not like a hotel, more like a villa, the security of it is not very high, as it has 2 entrances.
The entrance from the pool, anyone can access it without a problem.
The swimming pool was quite dirty, it has a lot of bugs floating, and also it has not been regularly cleaned by the staff.
It has a lot of restaurants nearby, and the quality and the price are better than those tourist meals in the old town.
The lift was broken on the first day, second day they informed us it is fixed. But it still has a little bit sudden sinking issue.
I guess Croatia does not have regulation of fix term lift checking, as it does not have any certificate in the lift inside/outside.
If the hotel showed 3 stars and the price is lower. I would rate
The right side of the balcony has a big tennis field on the 2nd-floor level, it is very close, and it was quite annoying that people can look over easily.
The suite does not worth 4 stars. The rug is super old, it has some stains on it.
The Front door lock is looking new, it is safe, but some electricity installation was not installed properly, it looks like you can pull them out easily.
The Electric Safety box is not working with the password, the hotel left a key in there for use.
Breakfast arrangement is well managed for guests with early tour, they could arrange breakfast box including 1 fruit, 3 breads, and 1 yogurt at 06am to 07am.FromRUB 5,286
