This hotel is conveniently located directly opposite Taichung Train Station. The lobby is spacious, and the staff are very helpful and can answer any questions you have. They also offer luggage storage. It's very close to popular attractions like Miyahara Ice Cream. There's a shopping mall and a Carrefour supermarket right next to the hotel, making shopping very convenient. The only downside is that the beds are a bit basic and can be noisy when you lie down. On a positive note, the hotel entrance is also a pick-up/drop-off point for Alishan day tours.

There is curated one day tour trip provided by the hotel and very competitive to outside tour. Tour guide selected and provided by hotel is professional, responsible and accommodating to needs. Hotel Breakfast is quite normal or standard which can be more exciting or international as IHG leh. If one of the day trip is to Lukang, there is bus literally outside the hotel. Walking distance and there is also option of walking to nearby bus stop to take bus to YiZhong street. Also got bus to Fengjia night market, very convenient.

I had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel Taichung! This is truly a 5-star experience from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. As soon as my taxi pulled up, the bellboy came over right away and helped with my luggage—even sending it directly to my room without me needing to handle anything. Such thoughtful service! The room was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I especially loved the little touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine for a nice cup of coffee anytime. The biggest surprise was the complimentary mini bar—there were four bottles of soft drinks provided for free, which was such a nice bonus! The bathroom was also impressively large, clean, and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay. Overall, I highly recommend Millennium Hotel Taichung if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again! 😊

1. Seriously, Trip.com, what gives you the confidence to rate (The Feng Jia Hotel) five diamonds? 2. The hotel's main glass door lacks anti-collision markings, and the lobby is a mess. 3. The wallpaper in the room is peeling everywhere. 4. There are no power outlets by the bed, and the value for money is terrible. When I asked the front desk for a power strip, they gave me a whole list of conditions. 5. The breakfast area is dirty, and the service is poor. For a five-diamond hotel, you have to clear your own dishes after breakfast. Trip.com customer service, if you see this review, please seriously answer my first question. Thank you!!!

Although the hotel has a long long history, but the room, common area, common facilities have been maintained fairly well. In very good location, close to Sogo. House cleaning is done well while we stayed there. Loved the gym, one of the very few hotels that I have stayed in with a proper size gym. Has kids play area, family friendly. Has in hotel massage and spa. Service is great, particularly the doormen, they were super helpful with our luggage and getting on and off taxis with our kid. Very reasonably priced. Also loved the in room popcorn snack. Attention to detail is great for me.

Room is quite big, i can fully open both of my standard size luggage, still have space for walking. The room I stay is quiet, just only can hear when other guest close their door. Very near to the Taichung train station, easy for me cause i can just walk to Taichung train station. Just beside the hotel have one 24hours family mart , you can grab some snack or food if you are hungry in the midnight. The opposite is the famous MIYAHARA ice cream shop, you can buy and take back to your room to eat it. ^^

location is really good. it is convenient since there are bus stops nearby to go around the city there is also a nice night market nearby and nice food options/ restaurants only downside is that the rooms are near and little to no sound proofing so the showers and can hear people showering / blowdrying hair at night. I still had a good sleep with my ear plugs on. The living / lounge area is also small and with people working who are staying there longer hoarding the only dining table for their work stuff so if this is not an issue for you and for short stays. I reco this hostel!

The salads and sandwiches were freshly made, which was very heartwarming. I was very grateful to the breakfast cook who noticed that my husband did not eat salads and cooked two boiled eggs and carrot cakes for him the next day. I appreciated her attentiveness and service attitude. We came from Hong Kong and it was our first time to Guguan. We were very happy and grateful for this three-day, two-night trip to Guguan. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, it is acceptable. The hygiene is also good, the waiters are very good, and the new building under construction next to the hotel should be better next time we come. I will stay here again next time, thank you and wish the waiter well.

The bathroom facilities are old and outdated, and there weren't enough towels provided. There's a public recreational area with some activities suitable for children and young adults. It belongs to the standard business hotel… the room is spacious and clean and well maintained…however, i have issues with the bathroom flush and the shower head / tap switch… which took me sometime to figure them out… There is a lobby bar on the first floor where we can wait and drink machine made coffee…..the gym and laundry room is located at B1… there should have better indications of how to open the gym door and lobby bar door… sometimes there is no one to aak about how to go in… maybe the washing machine needs to change the rubber rims cos of accumulated dark spots… but it’s free so i am not really complaining… The hotel has excellent front desk and housekeeping staff…. Special thanks to Cindy Lai who went the extra miles to find out the rates for taxi chartering… sorry that we did not take it up in the end though we thought it’s a good idea… grateful that we took the advice to go to LuKang old street instead as the places we plan to go is too far. We underestimated Taichung’s size… The hotel breakfast is fantastic, they have a different varieties for the two days we went.. the food is delicious and well selected… i wish i can eat more… the restaurant staff are also very helpful… Overall, me and my friend have great experience at The Tango Taichung….

Room 711: There were mosquitoes on the bedsheets. The wallpaper in the corner was bubbling. The corner of the desk was moldy. The air conditioning had a slight musty smell. The shower water pressure was unstable, and it kept switching between hot and cold. There was a pair of slippers under the bed that didn't belong to me. The sink in the bathroom had some black unknown substance and an odor. On the positive side, you can borrow extra pillows, and the location is super convenient. If you're not particular about cleanliness, you might consider staying here.

When we checked in which was rather late ,was smooth but there is only one elevator and you have to wait for quite sometime. The room is spacious, there were shampoo and body wash but no tooth brush. Location - I’m not sure if we just missed out on what’s nearby. But we did walk on the sides, we were searching around of what’s there to see. We didn’t see much, like we realized after walking for a few minutes that we just found the convenient store which is kinda far if that was the nearest available (or again, there could be one the other side we don’t know haha). So after walking around, and realizing there’s nothing much to see. We already booked an Uber going to the night market. It wasn’t that far from the HSR Station. I couldn’t remember the exact distance and travel time. But if I find it far I’d normally remember it and say it. Service - it was an easy check-in and check-out. Though, I almost forgot to get a receipt. Had to proactively ask for one. Luckily we decided to stay for a bit after checking out, we remembered it and got to request for it. I like how they already asked upon checking in if we need a room cleaning service. That was convenient. The breakfast was so so (on my personal taste bud). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad. I love the room the most! We were happy about how spacious it is. And it has an AI box which we loved. The bathtub has a tv, the shower area was spacious, the ambience of the room, hallways and lobby. The free snacks. The brand of the body wash and conditioner. The free Nescafe machine in the lobby. I’d definitely recommend it and I’d stay here again. (Though I still have a pending concern that I have to figure out myself, cause the amount showing in the invoice was different from the amount showing on tha app. Haven’t checked how much was the final amount taken out on my card) The late check out costs Ntd$1,000/hour

Extremely disappointed 😞. The family room I saw in the pictures wasn't the one I stayed in, and there were no photos of my actual room type available on Trip.com. The room I got didn't match the price I paid. I booked specifically for the room design, so I was really upset when I arrived. When I asked at the front desk, they told me, 'Because you didn't request it? So it's just a standard room?' I had no idea there were other room types. I came during a public holiday (and my price was more than double the usual rate), but I didn't get the room I wanted. I really can't accept this! The most unreasonable thing, in my opinion, was the security deposit. I'm okay with paying a deposit, but why wasn't it refunded immediately? Who traveling for a vacation in Taiwan wants to wait over two weeks for a refund? I've already waited fourteen days, and they're saying it's Trip.com's problem and not theirs??? The staff just shifted all the blame and didn't help resolve the issue at all! It's already 2/28 to 3/14 and I still haven't received my money? What happened to the promised 7 to 14 days? And I can't find anyone who can help resolve this problem! I hope the hotel can help deal with this instead of just saying it's not their problem. The hotel partners with Trip.com; they help you get guests, so why are you so indifferent to your customers' issues??? Who would dare to book with you again after this??? (RM591.92) Is the deposit for one night the same as the holiday room price??? Maybe you didn't collect it directly, but since you let Trip.com collect it, you should be responsible for helping to inquire and assist customers in getting their money back. Just because it's not 'your' money, you don't care? Is this a customer service issue? Five hundred TWD 4,600?? Is that a service fee? Is this a joke? No problem resolution? The breakfast was indeed good! I'll give them that. But who knows how much Oden 🍢 there was? They advertised it as a late-night snack, but it was all gone by 9 PM? The room was super spacious, the bed was just right in terms of softness, and the pillows were comfortable. Even though it's by a main road, it's not noisy at all once you close the windows! We got upgraded to a family room with play facilities (room 205), which was a shame since the kids weren't with us. They even had little slippers for children and a step stool for the sink, which was incredibly thoughtful. There was plenty of drinking water, drinks, instant noodles, and biscuits, so you definitely won't go hungry at night. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it included braised pork rice, congee, soup, vegetarian dishes, breakfast sausages, fried items, fries, as well as a salad bar, biscuits, milk, coffee, and other drinks... You're guaranteed to be full until noon. The weekday price is really sweet, definitely recommended!

There's also parking available for both cars and scooters. The bathtub by the window is fantastic! The toilet, shower, and tub are all separate, which is great for keeping things dry! The only minor drawback is that the sink in the bathroom tends to splash water out, but it doesn't affect usability and there's a drain on the floor anyway. Hotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat.

However, if needed, they are willing to help.  The most inconvenient thing is that the hotel does not provide bottled water. You have to use the hotel's provided kettle to get filtered water outside the room, which is extremely inconvenient and feels unhygienic. This should not be the service provided by a five-star hotel. We had a great stay at Freshfields Hotel in Taichung. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, nicely maintained and very comfortable. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the hotel offers shuttle services that you can book in advance, which made getting around much easier. A heads-up for anyone planning to use the public baths: make sure to bring a swimming cap or shower cap, as well as a swimsuit. If you forget, you’ll need to purchase them at the hotel in order to use the facilities. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

It is a very nice hotel with great location. The hotel is located at around 10mins on taxi from the train station (25min walk). There is a tiny night market and a cinema nearby. The classic room has a very strange shape and is very small, so I won’t recommend for anyone. The service was great where the staff are polite and helpful. The hotel also offers bike lending service for free for up to 3hrs. This is very helpful for me exploring the city in a short period of time. One big issue I found is the sound proof is very poor. I was able to hear noise very clearly from people walking /talking outside my room.

Although the hotel has a long long history, but the room, common area, common facilities have been maintained fairly well. In very good location, close to Sogo. House cleaning is done well while we stayed there. Loved the gym, one of the very few hotels that I have stayed in with a proper size gym. Has kids play area, family friendly. Has in hotel massage and spa. Service is great, particularly the doormen, they were super helpful with our luggage and getting on and off taxis with our kid. Very reasonably priced. Also loved the in room popcorn snack. Attention to detail is great for me.

Great location to the fengjia nightmarket. Room is good size for 4 adults and clean huge bathroom with 2 basins :) The breakfast spread is awesome and with a good variety.

There is curated one day tour trip provided by the hotel and very competitive to outside tour. Tour guide selected and provided by hotel is professional, responsible and accommodating to needs. Hotel Breakfast is quite normal or standard which can be more exciting or international as IHG leh. If one of the day trip is to Lukang, there is bus literally outside the hotel. Walking distance and there is also option of walking to nearby bus stop to take bus to YiZhong street. Also got bus to Fengjia night market, very convenient.

Extremely disappointed 😞. The family room I saw in the pictures wasn't the one I stayed in, and there were no photos of my actual room type available on Trip.com. The room I got didn't match the price I paid. I booked specifically for the room design, so I was really upset when I arrived. When I asked at the front desk, they told me, 'Because you didn't request it? So it's just a standard room?' I had no idea there were other room types. I came during a public holiday (and my price was more than double the usual rate), but I didn't get the room I wanted. I really can't accept this! The most unreasonable thing, in my opinion, was the security deposit. I'm okay with paying a deposit, but why wasn't it refunded immediately? Who traveling for a vacation in Taiwan wants to wait over two weeks for a refund? I've already waited fourteen days, and they're saying it's Trip.com's problem and not theirs??? The staff just shifted all the blame and didn't help resolve the issue at all! It's already 2/28 to 3/14 and I still haven't received my money? What happened to the promised 7 to 14 days? And I can't find anyone who can help resolve this problem! I hope the hotel can help deal with this instead of just saying it's not their problem. The hotel partners with Trip.com; they help you get guests, so why are you so indifferent to your customers' issues??? Who would dare to book with you again after this??? (RM591.92) Is the deposit for one night the same as the holiday room price??? Maybe you didn't collect it directly, but since you let Trip.com collect it, you should be responsible for helping to inquire and assist customers in getting their money back. One of the first things we noticed was the beautiful, refreshing scent in the lobby and all through the hallways—it made coming back to our room feel so relaxing.
